  1. haven't got that far deep into the XX century hehe
  2. it might be interesting to test F-4 vs F-4... I never tried such scenario
  3. true Eric, me too fly SM mostly (to test my mods in the works mainly...), I WILL buy this and other DLCs just not right now
  4. seen it earlier, and that's how next gen sim/game should look and perform alike... see these clouds?
  5. same here Jonathan, will have to wait few days moore
  6. "errr... maybe, just maybe this isn't the game for you?"
  7. classsic
  8. JSF there's huge crowd that has no idea about modding, Combatace and similar sites and free mods aviability... so it's quite nice addition for them given the pack of DLC planes. One'd be suprised how much of casual laptop gamers (a kind of gamers "lite" SF2 aims to) have problem with even extracting archives or copying files (and I'm not talking about you Mom). Sad, but we're not in the autoexec.bat and config.sys times anymore, heck, general computers daily usage knowledge does go down
  9. something quite... unexpected. Hmm, I'm one of modders that have no interest or skills to manually tweak campaigns so who knows It's now clear to me the DLC idea aims at modding impaired crowd. And if you do look at the numbers it seems it is mayority of TW customers, otherwise TK wouldn't bother
  10. Spinner's still the Founding Father of the hangar, so please behave, ie. no Irani Raptors etc
  11. RIP!
  12. Jim, make sure to select right formation type! Default one allows for single object in group IIRC, also depends on object's type definition (AAA,SAM,Tank,Truck,Ship etc)
  13. oh! right, it's full... thanks, will empty! yes, water maps was my thought about your impossibility to add them... have fun with huge sea battles! in that sticky are watermaps for most popular terrains
  14. fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
  15. I missed something? I can add ships in normal mission to my liking it's ok as it is, I'd love the 3D view though a'la Janes' ATF
  16. it's quite challenging given the variety of land covered and tileset layout, will have to balance things in some areas; I prefer visual complexity over geographic truth IF that makes any sense
  17. hmmm I think it will be something much smaller but still desirable, like gunsight contrained to glass or hud area etc. oh, what about "Clouds DLC" you can set to altitude you desire just for 4.99, bundle it with "High altitude pack" for only 8.49 (what a bargain!) and you can have TWO layers of clouds tweakable to your heart consent (no rant just morning coffe sarcasm of mine)
  18. another one from the shelf of "two weeks"
  19. Taiwan I bet

    Hurricane Irene

We do have "small" by comparision tornadoes in Poland too since few years (2012 marketing?) and that's true damage caused is mostly shattered roofs, specifically on old buildings. Ok, apart from that was a here known case of bus with some 40 passengers inside on a speedway turned upside down by the tornado that passed meters away, you can search for clips recorded from inside on the web. Scary. not so completely OT: In southern Poland in mountainous area I live in it's quite common to design new houses with reinforced concrete 29x29 posts every 150-200 cm on the roof floor to which the the roof construction is tied via usually 16x16cm wall plate, roof rafters are usually 8x18, 8x20 or 8x22 (rarely 10x22) cm here, given the snow coverage weight safety regulations. Oh, and we do typically 40-45 degree roofs (again, regulations) Here's an example of building now under construction, shops and garages on the ground floor with owner's home in the first (roof) floor: It's slightly bigger than typical home for my area given the owner's small shops and magazines on the ground floor, but the same rules and materials are here used for standard "single family homes", notice these concrete posts to which roof construction will be bolted in weeks to come. Just to add to Gepard's post (BTW It was my first building I designed as an architect hehe)
  21. seems Beach is doing some new AAR

    Hurricane Irene

I soo hope it will cause no mayor damage and loss of life, yet I find Gepards comment very well put. Maybe it's because we europeans used to brick or concrete or ceramic blocks houses for ages... be safe guys!
  23. re-playing "Chaser"... man what a little known underrated FPS gem you propably never heard of this is

  24. allways joy to read Beach!
