  2. Just starting this beautiful hobby, my girl friend got me interested in SLRs Very basic stuff for start: Nikon D80 AF-S DX VR 18-55 Saving money for: AF-S DX 55-200 (or 18-105) good tripod (current one is a toy) NEF (RAW)

  5. Yes, the most important factor is that TK's sims are coded by one man himself. Not only graphics engine, but also physics, AI, terrain, campaigns generator, everything. Big teams like MS Aces, Oleg's or ED usually consist of many coders responsible for their narrow part of sim development only. Also please take note that with every patch new features are being added, some of them are very resources hungry when introduced (clouds, true self-casting shadows, etc.), but then in following patches performance increases, sometimes noticeable (vide stock WOI vs recent updates) I'm running almost unmodded FE+EP1 right now, gameplay averages around 30-50 fps with more planes in the air than in most other sims (except BOB2 of course). Is this sufficient for enjoying it? For me, yes. Sufficient framerate is very subjective matter.

Ok, so here it is: Higher priority: 1.Curtiss Hawk model 75A cockpit -75% done, setting up gauges, need canopy rework and glass+reflections meshes, release date unknown 2.P-40B cockpit- 20% complete, based on Hawk 75A cockpit progress, need major mesh modifications/texture work, release after the above 3.generic realistic effects pack First Eagles/WW2 oriented -about 30% done, it's very time-consuming, release date unknown Lower priority: 4.New Korea terrain(by Brain32 & Wrench) -need trees height/shape/color corrections, city tiles to be populated, other members progress dependent 5.Spring/Summer seasons for WOE -using tods from winter and fall versions, need new graphics 6.EAW Euro (modern) by Wrench -tileset bugs tweaks -currently on hold due to lack of working texture list 7.various city buildings -digged up from the abbys, need proper collisionmeshes
  7. Hardly, it's M$, they won't let their property leak with talented and open-minded creators... to much risk for such company (another reason why, as rumor says, there's beta of almost finished CFS4 encrypted somewhere on someone's harddrive in Redmond)
  8. Looks very nice Wrench! There are high scrappers (not that high, given they were made for 60's-80's Europe) introduced on city tiles in my Germany tod mods, can be easily renamed to use with desert tileset: EDIT: @Wrench: EAW Euro (Modern) 4 Season rebuild is in my hands, but there's not much that can be done with it now

  13. Hello zilvesta123, welcome aboard, have you downloaded and installed Bunyap's Weapons Pack? without it nukes could not work; also what sim are you using it in?

Both sites are well known to me catch, I've been tracking OFF development for a long time (about 2 years now since I d/l P1), please don't treat us as uninformed ignorants that cannot find information about things we discuss here, no matter you like the conclussions or not Developer's forum -my definition- forum maintained on developers site/domain, that they pay for; not sub-forum on popular flightsims site.
  20. That's wasn't nice. Peter does excellent job on FE stock and custom FMs, and as far as i know he doesn't convert "jet FMs" into ww1 ones. On the other hand, what OFF developers did? Converted ww2 FMs into ww1 ones but please do not compare modder's work to what company does, and charges for, in the first place. And no, there's no "huge negativity" here regarding OFF, we are just discussing about new ww1 sim on the market (yes, it's based on 7 y.o DX7-level engine of other sim known for it's unsolved bugs) if you want a place where ppl bow in front of OFF screenshots page without a second thought, check other places (dedicated developer's forum would be the best place, but it doesn't exist, does it?)

  22. Oleg's SOW:BOB is so long in development and has so long features list we may not see it until 2010. Not to mention system capable of running it in full detail. Right now I have a blast with FE and Expansion (not modded) and it's fun yet challenging
