Hi guys, I solved my issue with the VF-31. Simply , as something is in this cases, is my fault ( when stupidity reign supreme...). The mod have three Campaigns with VF-31/Forrestal, I simply added the skin to the wrong one; for any good count, now each one Campaign are with my skin, at wich I replaced my previous star&bar as I don't like too much. Also I've pratically finished the VF-32 skin

You're right Frenchie. Nothing of special but is a gap in the TMF pack and needed for the Campaign I posted above as the correct one. Unfortunately I can't add the small Felix on the external tanks as isn't build in the TMF model Also working on other two skin for the same mod, for the Indy Air Wing. The VF-32 with the less know and less glamorous markings And the sister squadron VF-14 wit these stars & bars with inverted colors Some time ago I've also realized the VF-143 correct markings for the early '80s

Mate,I don't touched the CampaignName as the squadron is already in the Campaign from the beginning 'cause directly included in the mod, I simply changed the skin with the historic correct one done by me. as you can see from my post, I can select my skin but the game don't "accept" the skin as the default one and is strange, as in the same mod' El Dorado Canyon Campaign I done and added four Hornets skin and all run smoothly Here the Campaign.ini entry for the squadron, you can see that all is correct [USNUnit007] AircraftType=F-14A_82 Squadron=VF31 ForceID=1 UnitID=11 StartDate=11/02/1986 DescFile=CampaignNC3CDesc.txt StartText=CampaignNC3CStart.txt Thanks anyway for the interess and the suggestion

Hi all gents, I've just finished a customized VF-31 skin for the TMF F-14A_82 that I'll use in Campaign, edited the necessary lines in the Campaign Data.ini but for some reason don't start as default texture despite I can easily select from the dropdown menu in the loadout screen.Any Help? [TextureSet059] Directory=VF-31AE86 Name=VF-31 "Tomcatters" '86 Nation=USN Squadron=VF31 StartDefaultDate=1985 Specular=0.300000 Glossiness=0.750000 Reflection=0.000000 DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE DecalNumberBlockSize=10 DecalNumberStart=0 DecalNumberEnd=11 The CampaignData.ini entry [AirUnit011] AircraftType=F-14A_82 Squadron=VF31 ForceID=1 Nation=USN CarrierBased=TRUE NavalUnitID=2 ShipID=1 DefaultTexture=VF-31AE86 StartNumber=0 RandomChance=100 MaxAircraft=14 StartAircraft=14 MaxPilots=14 StartPilots=14 Experience=100 Morale=100 Supply=100 Intelligence=100 MissionChance[SWEEP]=90 MissionChance[CAP]=90 MissionChance[INTERCEPT]=100 MissionChance[ESCORT]=90 MissionChance=0 MissionChance[CAS]=0 MissionChance[SEAD]=0 MissionChance[ARMED_RECON]=0 MissionChance[ANTI_SHIP]=0 MissionChance[RECON]=0 MissionChance[NAVAL_SEARCH]=0 MissionChance[NAVAL_ATTACK]=0 MissionChance[ESCORT_JAMMER]=0 MissionChance[ESCORT_DECOY]=0 MissionChance[CRUISE_MISSILE]=0 MissionChance[EARLY_WARNING]=0 UpgradeType=NEVER You can see from the pics that the default texture isn't mine but can be selected from the dropdown menu

Wow a C-2! A Skywarrior will be the perfect mate,but... -
Maybe you can try to updates first only the planes with the old same skin name and add another line to upgrade the skin One example from the Campaign.ini of the Golan Stalemate IDF side: [AirUnit018] AircraftType=Nesher Squadron=144IDF ForceID=1 Nation=ISRAEL DefaultTexture=IDFCamo2 UpgradeType=FIXED Upgrade[01].Date=02/01/1978 Upgrade[01].Type=KfirC2 <--------------------------- First upgrade only the plane... Upgrade[01].Texture=IDFCamo2 Upgrade[02].Date=02/04/1978 Upgrade[02].Type=KfirC2 Upgrade[02].Texture=IDFGREY1 <-------------------------------------- ...then the skin

Ehi mate, how you've added the launch rail for the Winder? I will set the Antiship mission for A-6 in El Dorado Canyon with a single Aim-9 on outer pylon, but HATE when a weapons don't show the appropriate rail! I've some pics of A-6s with Aim-9s, the oldest showing an A-6 of VMA/AW)-224 during the USS Coral Sea 1972 Viet cruise

Think that the problem about the update of the planes is that the game engine can't manage the upgrade of hte plane model and the skin at the same time. You can upgrade the same plane's skin ( MIG-21MF skin-1 to MIG-21MF skin-2) or different plane with the same skin name ( MIG-21MF skin-1 to MIG-21Bis skin-1), Happened also to me in the past Your lines are for different skins, while the two will be match each other UpgradeType=FIXED Upgrade[01].Date=6/5/1973 Upgrade[01].Type=MiG-21MF Upgrade[01].Texture=Afghanistan3 <-------------- Upgrade[02].Date=6/5/1979 Upgrade[02].Type=MiG-21bis Upgrade[02].Texture=SovietCamo1 <----------

Great to see another modeller! Currently working to a F-15A Baz for my personal collection, and some different project for collector, as after losing the job with the lockdown, both me and my brother returned at a full time modelling work -
That's highly true! For example the AIM-9L/M was developed conjutly by USAF and USN, but are different in the cooling liquid for the seeker, Argon for the USAF and nitrogen ( as more simple to produce on aircraft carrier) for the Navy, with subsequent logistical issue: for example when the Navy shore based a det of VF-154 F-14A for FAC duty during OIF at Al Udeid ( if remember well) this cause the necessity of send the equipment for reload the nitrogen bottles of the Winder, helped from the Aussie F-18 det sharing the air base. And about the interoperability of Aim-9B/AA-2, when the IDF/AF seized Egiptyan air bases in the Sinai after the SDW, found some Atoll left and used'em in combat on the Shahaks Beginning with the Aim-9D, all the Navy Aim-9s (D/G/H/L/M) used the nitrogen cooling bottles fitted on the missiles launcher rails,so the modification to carry one version instead of another is tied principally to the launcher rails ( I suppose at least)
