This package contains some tanks which are, or will be in the next time, in use in Ukraine War. This are: For the Ukraine: Leopard1A4 delivered by Germany Leopard1A5 delivered by Germany Leopard2A4 delivered by Canada, Spain and Norway T-64B original ukrainian tanks, former soviet T-72M1 delivered by Czech Republik and Poland For Russia: T-72B former soviet T-72BV former soviet The T-64B, the T-72 and the Leopard1A4 are repaints of the stock files made by TK. The Leopard1A5 is a repaint of the tank which made Gabilon. The Leopard2A4 is a repaint of the tank made by Kesselbrut. Alle LOD files are low poly, which reduce the workload of the computer. With my new made skins the tanks are looking good enough. The tanks are set for a timeframe from 2022 or 2023 onward. They will not appear earlier in the game. I have adjusted the values of the armour to make it more real. I also devided the hull of the tanks into two parts. The upper part has a better armour protection and the lower part a weaker armour, as it is in reality. Example for calculation of armour thickness: T-72M1 has a frontal hull armour of 3 layers of steel ( 50 mm inner plate, 60 mm outer plate, 30 mm add on plate) and one layer of Textolit (105 mm). Since Textolit has only effect against HEAT i use only the steel value to calculate. The formula is x= nominal thickness / cos(angle of armour plate) so we come to x= 140 / cos (68°) ==> x= 373,73 mm ~ 374 mm ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. INSTALLATION: -Unzip into your SF2 mod folder ---------------------------------------------------------- III. 3. View File Southern Ukraine and Crimean Peninsula Terrain Donbass Beta 0.40 ***************************************************** Southern Ukraine and Crimean Peninsula Terrain THIS IS STILL A BETA VERSION!!!! ============================ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This terrain is written for SF2E. It works well with SF2NA. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: The south and the east of the Ukraine are battlegrounds in mid 2022. At the moment nobody knows how the war will end. This terrain covers the most parts of the Ukraine and some parts of the Russian Federation. But only the southern war theater and the crimean peninsula are included in this terrain so far. Airfields and some other target areas are placed on the map. Further improvements will come. I made the airfields in their shape as realistic as possible. Only 3 airfields are more or less freestyle. At the moment the terrain is made for scenarios around the Crimean peninsula. Offensive operations are more focused for the ukrainian side. In ukrainian strike missions you can fly against airfields, factories, depots, Sewastopol harbour and support facilities and a dense SAM network. For the russian side you can only fly against enemy airfields. At the moment possible mission types are: Sweep, CAP, Escort, Intercept, Recon, Strike and SEAD missions. The terrain is set as NavalMap=FALSE, but it is prepared for NavalMap=TRUE. If you use SF2NA as basic game you may change the setting, so that carrier vs carrier operations will be possible. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ II. INSTALLATION: To run this terrain you need SF2NorthAtlantic or SF2 Israel or SF2 Europe. Unzip all files into your saved game folder ...ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2XXXX Thats it. 5. View File Buk M2E SAM system Buk M2E Surface to Air missile system The Buk missile system is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the Soviet Union and its successor state, the Russian Federation, and designed to counter cruise missiles, smart bombs, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles The Buk system was created as a replacement of the 9k12 Kub in the air defenses forces of the Soviet Union and succesor states. A typical batallion consist of a command vehicle, a target acquisition radar vehicle and 6 TELAR vehicles, with three TELs. The M2E variant uses the 6x6 MZKT-6922 wheeled vehicle, in order to produce a hight road mobility and low operating cost variant of the system. The pack contains the 9K317E Buk M2E / MZKT-6922 TELAR and the 9S18M1E Snow Drift acquisition Radar mounted on a MZKT-6922 trnasport. Finally, this pack is still a BETA, need some fine tunning inthe missile and system performance and other vehicles asociated with the system like the command post and the low level radar. 7. View File Sweden, Baltic Rim (2004-2018) Sweden, Baltic Rim (2004-2018) Terrain March 13th, 2018 (1st Release) by Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2: Europe, Recommended Full-5 Merged This is a complete remake of the Sweden terrain made by gillg, but set after the Cold War era. What began as a simple tiling bugfix, for JonathanRL's The Scandinavian Front mod, turned out to be a huge overhaul upon noticing a number of inaccuracies. The terrain has been retargetized and hand-tiled to a good extent; major changes have been done to the Baltic states, which were pretty inaccurate in terms of target locations. Some rivers have been added and/or retiled to mimic Real World courses. Numerous target areas, including airports and highway strips, have been added in order to expand playability, targets of opportunity and year range. This terrain features a fresh new 250m resolution heightmap (instead of the stock 500m resolution), allowing for greater details and precision in elevation changes; overall it provides the whole terrain with a better look. The terrain spans from March 30, 2004 (the beginning of NATO's Baltic Air Policing) to December 31, 2018; it is designed for The Scandinavian Front's scenarios by JonathanRL, taking place after the Cold War era. This terrain is a standalone version of the one which will be included in the last iteration of the TSF mod package by JonathanRL. The terrain that will be included in the TSF mod package will likely differ slightly from this one, so users are advised to keep that in mind. Also, this terrain uses only a single tileset. The TSF's version will use different tilesets according to the season, as originally designed by our fellow modder, Stary. Targets reflect Real World events as accurately as possible; for instance, some airfields won't be available after a certain date and/or will change name according to historic changes. Off Map Airbases have been added and long range AI flights can be generated from them, if you have SF2NA. Most of the main targets have been placed accurately in their Real World locations. Due to the complexity of the area, some inaccuracies are to be expected, but I did my best! Ground Objects are not included. Download JonathanRL's The Scandinavian Front mod package to have all that you need for this scenario. >Credits (in no particular order): -gillg, who created this terrain and whose work I have admired during my rework. I can only imagine how much time he spent on tiling roads and rivers from scratch! -JonathanRL, for his exceptional TSF2 mod package, which prompted me to do something to help improve it. -Wrench, as he is always glad to help us fellow terrain modders. Thank you, sir! -swambast, who provided me with invaluable help in tracking and fixing common and uncommon bugs. -gerwin, whose TFDtool has proved to be essential in today's terrain making. If the terrain is pretty accurate to RL it's also because of him. I included his very nice Airfield 7+8 Addon Pack, too. -mue, for the improved shaders he made, which I have included and reworked for the terrain, and for the tools he made for SF2 modding. -luk1978, for the waternormal bitmap he shared at the SF2 screenshots thread. Your mods are very interesting! -MigBuster, I have included some of his great hi-res textures for runways. -Stary, for the wonderful tileset he made exclusively for the original Sweden terrain included in the TSF mod package. -Gepard, for his great tutorials about terrain making, in the SF1 Knowledge Base at CombatACE. It's a gold mine! -tiopilotos and Stratos, who always support me during my terrain remakes. Thank you, guys! -krfrge, who has produced a tutorial for recreating SF2-like planning maps, which prompted me to work on templates and my own high quality planning maps. Thank you very much! -comrpnt, for his Approach and Airfield Lighting Pack mod packages for SF1 series, which I reworked and included. Because this terrain is a rework of gillg's fantastic creation, I included his ReadMe file from his original package, to the end of giving proper credit to everyone involved directly or not. >Disclaimer: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages. Any changes to the terrain package's files and/or any copy-and-paste attempts of their contents are NOT authorized if you plan to release them in other mods. But permission might be granted to those who request it to me at CombatACE. Sweden, Baltic Rim (2004-2018) Terrain March 13th, 2018 (1st Release) by Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2: Europe, Recommended Full-5 Merged This is a complete remake of the Sweden terrain made by gillg, but set after the Cold War era. 13. File Name: Sukhoi Su-25T Tankovy & Su-25SM Frogfoot for SF2 File Submitter: dtmdragon File Submitted: 07 March 2016 File Category: Other Sukhoi Su-25T Tankovy & Sukhoi Su-25SM Frogfoot for SF2 The Su-25T (Tankovy) is a dedicated antitank version, which has been combat-tested with notable success in Chechnya. The design of the aircraft is similar to the Su-25UB ( unification of 85%). The variant was converted to one-seater, with the rear seat replaced by additional avionics. It has all-weather and night attack capability. In addition to the full arsenal of weapons of the standard Su-25, the Su-25T can employ the KAB-500Kr TV-guided bomb, KH-58 ARM, R-73, MPS-410 ECM Pod and the semi-active laser-guided Kh-25ML. Its enlarged nosecone houses the Shkval optical TV and aiming system with the Prichal laser rangefinder and target designator. It can also carry Vikhr laser-guided, tube-launched missiles, which is its main antitank armament. For night operations, the low-light TV Merkuriy pod system can be carried under the fuselage. Three Su-25Ts prototypes were built in 1983–86 and 8 production aircraft were built in 1990. With the introduction of a definitive Russian Air Force Su-25 upgrade programme, in the form of Stroyevoy Modernizirovannyi, the Su-25T programme was officially canceled in 2000. The Su-25SM (Stroyevoy Modernizirovannyi) is an "affordable" upgrade programme for the Su-25, conceived by the Russian Air Force in 2000. The programme stems from the attempted Su-25T and Su-25TM (aka Su-39) upgrades, which were evaluated and labelled as over-sophisticated and expensive. The SM upgrade incorporates avionics enhancements and airframe refurbishment to extend the Frogfoot's service life by up to 500 flight hours or 5 years. The Su-25SM's all-new PRnK-25SM "Bars" navigation/attack suite is built around the BTsVM-90 digital computer system, originally planned for the Su-25TM upgrade programme. Navigation and attack precision provided by the new suite is three times better of the baseline Su-25. A new KA1-1-01 Head-Up Display (HUD) was added providing, among other things, double the field of view of the original ASP-17BTs-8 electro-optical sight. Other systems and components incorporated during the upgrade include a Multi-Function Display (MFD), RSBN-85 Short Range Aid to Navigation (SHORAN), ARK-35-1 Automatic Direction Finder (ADF), A-737-01 GPS/GLONASS Receiver, Karat-B-25 Flight Data Recorder (FDR), Berkut-1 Video Recording System (VRS), Banker-2 UHF/VHF communication radio, SO-96 Transponder and a L150 "Pastel" RWR. The R-95Sh engines have been overhauled and modified with an anti-surge system installed. The system is designed to improve the resistance of the engine to ingested powders and gases during gun and rocket salvo firing. The combination of reconditioned and new equipment, with increased automation and self-test capability has allowed for a reduction of pre- and post-flight maintenance by some 25 to 30%. Overall weight savings are around 300 kg (660 lb). Su-25SM weapon suite has been expanded with the addition of the Vympel R-73 highly agile air-to-air missile (without helmet mounted cuing) and the S-13T 130 mm rockets (carried in five-round B-13 pods). Further, the Kh-25ML and Kh-29L Weapon Employment Profiles have been significantly improved, permitting some complex missile launch scenarios to be executed, such as: firing two consecutive missiles on two different targets in a single attack pass. The GSh-30-2 cannon (250-round magazine) has received three new reduced rate-of-fire modes: 750, 375 and 188 Rounds per Minute. Like the Su-25T it can carry the MPS-410 ECM Pod. The eventual procurement programme is expected to include between 100 and 130 kits, covering 60 to 70 percent of the Russian Air Force active single-seat fleet, as operated in the early 2000s. The Su-25SM has been operating over Syria in 2015. Special note on the Vikhr rocket launcher tubes: TLR/ ATR weapons rack can only carry a maximum of 6 LGR missiles but the Vikhr rocket launcher for the Su-25T carries 8. As a work around there are two 8 tube ATR launchers that are different 'rack specific' weapon stations but have the exact same position. One of the launchers holds 6 LGR the other holds just 2. The missiles are positioned on the ATR racks so the one that holds 2 fills in the empty tubes of the ATR that holds 6. The Loadout.ini will loads both racks correctly but it is not possible to manually load them and get 8 rockets in the tubes, you will only get 6 if you do it manually. To install: Drop into your Mods folder Included in the ‘optional’ folder is a modified NATO Fighters 5 1986 Red Storm (WP) Campaign to include the Su-25T. It will show up an extra campaign named “861019 Red Storm (WP) Su-25T” and will not affect any of the other NATO Fighters campaigns. 16. File Name: Multinational Speech Pack File Submitter: thereg File Submitted: 16 November 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Objects Multinational Speech pack version 1.0 for Strike Fighters 2 SHould work on any type of SF2 installation. This is a compilation of speech packs brought together by me from original files mainly made for IL-2 Sturmovik and released as part of DBW. Due to the limited phrases available, it is intended more for immersion than for accuracy. I can't claim any credit for the actual recording, but I did some re-editing and re-processing to better bring the files in line with SF2. I've also included a re-processed version of Gramps' Russian Speech Pack available on Combatace. BE WARNED: If you speak any of these languages you may not enjoy how they fit into the game. For the most part I tried to find phrases that fit the different SF2 files in general meaning, but they are far from perfect, and a few are actually just random. You may want to turn on subtitles, at least until you get used to the different phrases. Special note to my fellow New Zealanders: I humbly apologise for lumping us in with the Aussies, but it was the closest I could get ;-) ----------------------------- Credits and huge thanks: Original files provided as part of the awesome Dark Blue World mod from SAS.com for IL-2: RAF NZandAus French German Italy ------------------------- Originals from GONVISE for IL2: Spain ---------------------------- Originals from Azrael-WT, TIGERLIU, CrazyDog, Northeastern Panda, Liu MM, TIGERLIU, bwhorse, treefanweijia, llb00825, bwhorse for IL2: China -------------- Originals from EECH and first converted by Richard "Gramps" Kaminski: Russian ---------------- As for the Arabic, I actually can't remember where I got them from, but thanks to whoever made them. Installation: Place whichever pack you desire into the Speech sub-folder of your main mod folder eg: ...username/Saved Games/Thirdwire/StrikeFighters2 Europe/Speech/German then go to the flight folder and open the NATIONS.ini file to edit whatever nationality you want to use that particular language. Making sure to use the EXACT same spelling as the folder you're pointing to. eg: [Nation008] Name=WGermany DisplayName=German Luftwaffe Alignment=FRIENDLY PilotNameList=NamesGerman.lst RankList=RanksGAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=USFighter Formation.Attack=USFighter Formation.Bomber=USBomber Formation.Transport=USBomber Formation.Tank=USTank Formation.MobileAD=USAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=German <------edit this line SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str StartDate=1956 [Nation017] Name=EGermany DisplayName=East German Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesGerman.lst RankList=RanksUSAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=German <------------------and again SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str ActiveDate=1959 AlternateDecal=EGermany_OLD55 StartDate=1956 EndDate=1990 It's as easy as that. You can use different languages for as many different countries as you wish and whenever you fly for that particular country, that is the language you will hear. This pack is strictly freeware. Use however you want, so long as it's free. Have fun! Cheers thereg
