Purely experimental effects for radical hardcore fans of generals Curtiss LeMay and Yevgeniy Savitskiy ONLY.
This is an exhaust effect mod that can change the large scale visual environment across a map, so I hope its okay to put this in the Environment mod section.
Included are experimental contrails that attempt to model both quickly evaporating and persistent spreading ice crystals clouds that shine brightly near the sun, and range in lifetime from 5 seconds to 1240 seconds, which is about 20 minutes. The contrail tga uses the same game grafix calls as my Cirrus clouds, which makes sense since contrails can become cirrus clouds over time. Best used with the blue sky and sunglare ideas in the Siberian Sun mold.
Instructions and advice on game limits of the longer contrails are found in the Instructions file.

UPDATE EDIT: Somewhat reduced max visible distances. Contrails 320 and 640 had 1000x too great a max visible distance for testing vs cirrus. Now reduced. Will update later if improved methods are found.

The CIVIL Mod "Firefighters" is made for FIRST EAGLES.

I made this mod for my son, because i believe that it is not really good if a 7 years old boy is dropping bombs or firing missiles or shooting guns. So i decided to make a civil version of TK's sims. That my son is a fan of the Feuerwehr (fire brigade in english), gave me the idea to make a mod for the flying firefighters who use agricultural planes or old military planes like the Tracker, the B-26 etc to fight against wood fires all around the world.
This mod includes a modified version of my Vogesen terrain, the Z-37 Cmelak agricultural airplane and modified files to make modern planes usable in FIRST EAGLES.
You can fly firefight missions (mostly suppress woodfires), Search missions (SAR) and you can drop parachutists.

III. INSTALLATION
1.) You need a clean installation of First Eagles (FE)
2.) Open folder objects/aircraft and delete all subfolders (planes)
3.) Open folder objects/groundobject and delete all subfolders (Groundobjects)
4.) Unzip the Civil Mod into your civil First Eagles installation
5.) to make the O-1E Cessna and the C-130 usable you must include the files O-1E.lod, C-130A.lod, C-130A_LOD002 - 005 in the relating folders. This files are part of original SFP1,WOE,WOV game. You must extract them from SFP1,WOE or WOV objects.cat by using the SFP1E tool which you can find at CombatAce.com
Thats it
With the Civil Mod comes the file meine.ini which you find in Controls folder. This file allows you to use flaps, breaks etc in game. This are the option settings i use in my game. You can replace this file by your own controls file from an other SFP1,WOE,WOV,WOI game.

Ive been working on this mod for quite awhile and I think I have finally
got it working without any bugs or kinks you know the unusual pink or
green cloud floating around here or there on the horizon.It makes the
scattered and broken clouds look great as far as the inclement clouds they
look good from the top but,from the bottom not so much.There has always
been a problem with the bottom of inclement clouds no matter which cloud
mod you use at least that's what I have found.The CLOUD1 TARGA
file comes from the Clouds big mod for IL2 by MANYSH and has been heavily
edited by me for use in the SF 1 series by Thirdwire,I hope he approves of
the effect his file creates for this game and I greatly appreciate his
original work and thank him for it.I have forgotten where I got the
ENVIRONMENTSYSTEM ini it has been along time and so much editing ago the
author of the original has slipped my mind,so if you see your work in here
I hope you approve and I thank you.As far as impact on the FPS I haven't
experienced any loss or if I have it's barely noticeable.This mod has been
created around Cellinksy's "Widesky" Environment Mod so if your not using
it,you may want to get it.The clouds have been tested in WOV
1st series and WOI 1st series it may work in the other 1st series titles
to you'll just have to try it and see.I do not guarantee it will work in the SF 2 series.

This is version 2.0 of my Green Hell mod for WoV. Main goal of this mod is to add dense tree coverage to the Vietnam map. New in the 2.0 are the heavily populated city tiles. Most of the files from 1.0 have been remade, adjusted or added.
Quick summary:
-Three levels of detail for you to choose from.
-All new jungle graphics
-Cities, the way they should be. More or less :-)
-Objects numbers per tile vary from x2 up to x4 more than in GH.
-All foliage graphics replaced by new, better blending with the terrain textures, and in higher resolution.
-More detail added to the villages, as an attempt to create better looking settlements, but still limited to what Terrain Editor can offer.
-Generally nicer views, lower framerates ;-)
Widesky: all new environment for WOI/WOE/WOV (not FE!!!)
WHAT IT IS:
- all new 3D-clouds
- custom colors for sky, haze, fog
- custom colors for noon, sunset, dawn, night and everthing between

KNOWN ISSUES:

Strike Fighters Briefing Pack Readme
For some reason the creators of many of the third party terrains that have been released have omitted to include a briefing.ini file with the terrain or have included a blank document. What this means is that when you click on the briefing tab in the mission setup area you will get a black screen and a CTD, which kind of ruins the atmosphere when you're getting pumped up to go out there to defend the free world against the rampaging communist/Nazi etc hordes.
Here is a collection of briefing.ini files for most of the terrains out there that have this problem with what I hope is some appropriate text to get you in the mood for your mission. Feel free to edit them to suit your needs.
I've also included English briefing.ini files for Gepard's Israel and Suez terrains as the originals are in German.

Ibstallation is simple - just extract the briefing you want to the appropriate terrain's folder, which you will already have installed within your Strike Fighters, WOV or WOE Terrain folder. The only other thing you may need to do is to check inside the individual terrain's folder in the .ini file to make sure that the line
BriefingText=
includes the name of the briefing.ini file. For example, in my Kosovo terrain folder the kosovo.ini file contains the line
BriefingText=Kosovo_briefing.INI
The only terrains that I know you will have to edit are USAFMTL's mideast terrain (which points to the original desert_briefing.ini) and Wrench's WW2Libya (which points to the libya_briefing.ini). All of the rest should work just fine.
Thanks to TK for SF, WOV, WOE, FE and who knows what else, and of course to the creators of all of these fine terrains for enhancing this great game of ours.

My mod used a total of 5 types of clouds. These cloudsare different in colour, texture and shapes. I have included a cloudguide.jpg with screenshots, labeledto match the folders, so you can get an idea of what each cloud looks like.

Just copy a cloud1.tga from any one of the six foldersincluded in the mod and paste it (just the file, not the folder) into your Flight folder. Always back up youroriginals!

It is good to have backup files!!!

Here is another set of CloudSkins for your amusement. In this set, I used a different technique to create the clouds. This method gives me far more control over their look, because it allows me to actually "paint" in the details. Thus the "Painted" subtitle for this set. Additionally, I've played with larger images (768x768 instead of the usual 512x512). There is a slight framerate hit (2-8FPS) in using these clouds, but if your system can handle it, they're worth it. I have included three 512x512 images if you prefer the standard size.
BONUS FILE
The idea of CloudSkins has been to only supply the images and let the users supply their own sky settings. In this set you can still do that. But this time I am supplying an environmentsystem.ini file that I use in all my installs.
This was primarily created by ASRAAM. He combined the features of Widesky, CloudScape, and the sky settings of NF4+. So I believe, but have not confirmed, this file will work in SF2 as well as SF1. Most of the work is ASRAAM's and he deserves a lot of credit for it. In turn, I have changed some of the cloud settings to suit my tastes. I have tested this out in WoV,WoE, and WoI. To use it, simply copy the environmentsystem.ini file into your Flight folder.
SPECIAL BONUS FILE
I have added a folder named "CloudBurst." This contains a different environmentsystem.ini file with a trick I learned from Stick. It overloads the cloud counts and produces a striking cloudscape full of many cloud layers. I used this file to create the screenshot for CloudSkins Too. It uses a lot of framerates so it's preferred for more powerful systems. To use it, just copy the environmentsystem.ini file only (NOT the whole CloudBurst folder) and place it into your Flight folder.

DESERT / ISRAEL 2 ground environment update ("tree mod")
Should work with any maps using default SFP1/SFG desert tileset in jet titles from the series. In all cases you'll have to use the desert.cat or manually extract and move the tiles from desert.cat to your terrain folder.
Not tested with the "desert replacement tileset"! Should work, but objects placement will be slightly incorrect.
This is a Green Hell 2 quick fix that eliminates the bug with shimmering rooftops on some city tiles caused by two buildings placed one ontop of another.
Extract to your VietnamSEA folder, overwrite. Works with any "level of detail" .tod version

This is my second attempt in giving default map a better, rich-environment look.
This mod adds thousands of trees and bushes in the open farmlands, new, dense jungle in the mountains, little vietnamese huts (ok, not really), paddy-fields, ruins, temples, buffalos and so on.
I focused my work on variety of trees and bushes, not the buildings. City set WILL be released later.

This is tree mod and tiles update for OTC 2 Cuba terrain.
Apart from adding varying coverage of trees, I've also did some retiling, to introduce new tiles for visuals improvement, and to avoid spawning of trees in the wrong place, eg. on runways, also not to have some targets in dense jungle, rather on less covered grounds.

Graphical enhancement mod for TW games
Wanna use today graphic features in the old fashion Wings of engine?
This mod when activated enables the Bloom feature ingame, a color correction
and an antialias filter, so you can enjoy the sunshine.
Those settings are configurable through ini file.
YOU MUST HAVE A RECENT GRAPHIC CARD THAT INCORPORATES PIXEL SHADING FEATURE TO USE THIS MOD!

*Installation:
-Drop D3D9.dll file directly into you TW game folder
-Drop the enbseries.ini file into the flight folder

Shift-F12 to activate/desactivate it ingame. You can tweak the ini file to configure settings as you wish.
Caution!!:This mod eats graphic card for breakfust and CPU for lunch, i would advise you not to use it if
you are under 50FPS during general playing without it. It would make 50frames to drop to 30 frames approximatively,
If you are at 30 frames you would drop to 20 frames, so don't be surprised.

All four seasons higher resolution textures, all the ground objects, trees, cities and farms are included. No need to d/l anything other, should work out-of-the-zip. Includes the more realistic scaled trees and revised Forests and farms v 2.0 mod. 3 levels of detail to choose from.

This package includes all the files necessary to transforn default summer GermanyCE terrain into fall one.
Incuded are all tiles repainted, new tod files and objects graphics.
Part of this package is brand new version 2.0 of "Forests and Farms" mod, with added cities and scaled down trees. Also new variables reduce the pop-ups of trees.
It's part of a bigger project called "Seasoned WOE", after finishing all four seasons I'll release data files and instructions needed to create true four-seasons Germany terrain.
This is a railway station for DRVv1.4.

CloudScape Mod for Strike Fighters Gold, Wings over Europe, and Wings over Israel
This mod has been tested in all the above listed sims. I have every reason to believe it will work in Wings over Vietnam and Strike Fighters Project 1 as well.
For me, an essential part of the immersion in a flight sim is just watching the clouds go by. In real life, I watch clouds often and commonly photograph them. I like clouds that form into interesting and complex shapes.
My intent here was to create cloudscapes that are appealing to the eye and thus increase the immersion into the game.
In 2007, I created a cloud mod for First Eagles with the same idea in mind. When I placed the same mod into WoI and SFG, I felt the image didn't fit with the bluer skies of the modern era sims.
Tweaking the colors didn't work well enough. So I kept the same alpha channel (mask), modded it a lot, and created a completely new image with it. I think this one works better. This new image, on first glance, doesn't look nearly as nice as the default. Don't be put off. Most of the cloud's appearance is managed by the alpha channel embedded into the image.
NOTES
Of the over 60 different clouds I tried, I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I am including just two and letting you decide which you like best.
If you already have an edited environmentsystem.ini file or a cloud1.tga file you can opt to use just the cloud1.tga file. Always be sure to BACK UP YOUR ORIGINALS! I have tested the image alone with the Widesky mod and it works just fine.

Map ini Tweaks for SF1 series
This is an extraction from a super vannila pack of WOX that we share in the small circle of Insky team.
It includes ini tweaks for Israel, Germany (4season mod), Vietnam (Greenhell2), AE(with Tree mod) and
Libya(3.0 Ultimate final) maps.
What the tweak does:
1. fixing water shimmering problem
2. bringing latest shader effect
3. Introducing tree blending effect for a smoothier terrain look
4. bringing sun shadows for hills on terrain. as the sun moves the hills cast shadows of different angle.
