Operation Desert Storm effects pack beta
 
This is a quick compilation of my current "realistic effects pack" WIP to give you some fresh, balanced effects for excellent ODS mod

This is probably just one way to do it. The one problem with it is that since B is a toggle I need to manually disengage the brakes when taking off from a runway. After that, press down on the toe will engage the brake, release the toe will disengage.
 
Unzip both files and load the map into CH Control Manager and download. Intended to be a sample.

Is based on the last campaing of the Strike Fighter.
 
New airplanes: F-14A and F-4S (late), and for single mission also A-4E se, IAI F-21 Lion, Mig-28 (F-5E), F-16 Viper.
New enemy: more trainig and more moral to make them more agressive.
Various skin for the Tomcat.
New pilots: Maverick, Iceman, Goose and others.
More add-ons: IR growler louder, widesky, tracers.
New music, and main menu imagine.

Nuevos enemigos: mas entrenados y motivados para que sean ams agresivos.

Germany terrain for SFP1 by S.Ansons
v1.0 January 30th, 2009
 
Having only SFP1 and FE, and with all the tremendous work made by CA community on the WOE GermanyCE Map, I have decided to create my own Germany Map. That' s the result !
 
Credits: TK, CA_STARY, Brain32, The Wrench, Polaks, Jan Tuma, Pasko, Hinchibrooke and likely many other people from the CA community.
 
What's new in this Map:
-2 new tiles have been added to the base WOE tileset :
GERMANYSJ.TGA small lake in a field tile.
GERMANYSA.TGA small lake in a mountain tile
- More forest areas with small roads and small towns
- New tods for having snow trees in the mountain areas
 
Lots of targets including :
Bridges at Arnhem, Nijmegen, the Rhine towns and München
A cargo convoy with destroyers, cruiser, Uboats to simulate a naval battle, German warships in the Hamburg harbor.
Tank and truck convoys thru the ardennes and towards Arnhem to help simulating both 1940 WestFeldZug, the battle of the Bulge and
Operation Market Garden.
Water color has been changed to give it a more greenish look.
Many towns in Holland, Denmark and Germany

Hot Fix for Southern California map:
This little pack contains new TFD and HFD files for my recenlty re-released SoCal Ver 2
 
There have been reported issues with some tiles disappearing, or odd things bleeding in the southern central coastal mountain range. These new files contain the data for region, that I've retiled to change the tile types and try to cut down on the oddity.
 
While this will not totally fix it (2 days of experimentating, retiling, flying it again and again and again) still show it occuring, this will reduce it's chances. Not totally fixed, but this will ameloriate it's instances. I have absolutely NO idea as to why it's doing it at all.
 
Simply, easy to follow instructions in the enclosed readme.

Updated USAF 370 gal wing tanks for the WOV F-4
 
This is an update for the 370 gallon wing drop tanks I made for the Wings over Vietnam F-4C/D/E. The tanks are higher polygon versions a bit more accurate in shape and with a few added details. Five versions are supplied - the first three are minor variations of the standard SEA tanks, the other is all olive drab version and the last all white. (Both the latter two were seen on F-4Cs in 1965-1966).
 
You must be able to use the Weaponeditor to install these tanks. These entries do not overwrite your old tanks, but will overwrite my first version tanks files. I have enclosed an F-4D data.ini as an example if you are still uncertain how to install these - both pre and post-October patch versions are given. The first three tanks are given as selections in the files.

The basic of my MiG-19PF is the J-6A of Fallout3, which you can find in the Combatace.com downloadsection Modern Era Aircraft/Aircraft of the PLAAF. Fallout3 made a new LOD file, so that an additionally nose section (as in the other MiG-19PF mods) is not longer neccessary. I renamed Fallout3s J-6A.lod file into MiG-19PF.lod and hexedited a little bit.
 
The cockpit is the great MiG-21PFM cockpit made by MAGO & BADGER the BAD.
 
My share of this new bird are modified ini files and a new skin.
I made new data.ini on the basic of TK's stock MiG-19S, so the handling of the PF is similar to the S. I also made a new radar by using the datas i have found in the book "Flugzeuge und Hubschrauber der NVA von 1956 bis 1970".
 
Thanks to all whos files i have used to make this MiG-19PF.

II. MiG-19 genesis
***************************************************
MiG-19 and MiG-19S had no radar. It were pure day fighters.
The first MiG-19 with radar was the MiG-19P. It had the same radar (Isumrud1) like the MiG-17PF. In my books i found different descriptions of the armament of this bird. Some sources said it had 3 NR-30 guns, others told me it were only 2 NR-30 and finally i found one source who said it were 3 NR-23. What was correct? I dont know. Because the J-6A-lod file had 3 guns, so i decided to choose 3 NR-30. Maybe it is right, maybe it it wrong. You may change it at free will.
My books told me, that the first PF had the same armament like the P, plus 4 rails for AA-1 Alkali (RS-2US) missiles. Later PFs had no guns. Then the PM came with better radar Isumrud 2 and was built in bigger numbers. The last version PN came only in few numbers to the squadrons, because the first MiG-21 entered the service.
Widely exported were the MiG-19S and MiG-19PM. As far as i know all other MiG-19 versions were only in soviet service.
 
This plane is a early MiG-19PF with Isumrud1 radar, 3 NR-30 guns and 4 rails for missiles.
