      MV-22B Osprey

      Release v2.2

“The V-22 Osprey is a joint service, multi-mission, military tilt rotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. It is designed to perform missions like a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. The V-22 was developed by Bell Helicopter Textron, which manufactures it in partnership with Boeing Helicopters. The initial operators are the U.S. Marine Corps and United States Air Force. The FAA classifies the Osprey as a model of powered lift aircraft.”… Wikipedia.

      Installation

      1.) Unzip the archive.

2.) Cut/Paste the MV-22 folder within the aircraft directory of your Strike Fighters, Wings over Vietnam or Wings over Europe, Wings over Israel Installation.

3.) Cut/Paste the sound file within the sound folder into the Sounds directory your Strike Fighters, Wings over Vietnam, Wings over Israel or Wings over Europe Installation.

      4.) Fly and have fun!

      Flight Instructions

STOL – (Short Take Off and Landing) - Rotate the outboard engine nacelles (done by activating the keys you have mapped to controls thrust vectoring) above 45-degrees (I find around 60 works best). Release brakes, slowly feed in throttle. As you exceed 80 knots, apply full up elevator and apply full throttle. As you climb, raise gear and slowly rotate the engine nacelles to zero to achieve horizontal flight configuration. Approach landing in this configuration as you would a conventional aircraft.

VTOL – (Vertical Take Off and Landing) - Rotate the outboard engine nacelles to their full 90-Degree position. Slowly apply throttle to exceed 75 percent (this will change with any cargo load or fuel use… adjust as necessary). While in hover mode, direction and attitude is controlled by pitch and roll. Rudder input controls rotation about the axis and throttle obviously effects climb or decent. Landing is a bit more difficult… You’ll need to rotate the engine nacelles to 90-degrees, reduce throttle and bank a bit to scrub off speed. Once below 240 knots, drop gear to increase drag, further reducing airspeed. As you slow to below 100 knots you will develop some buffeting… this is normal as the wings are obviously losing their lift. I find a good controlled decent can be achieved around 60 percent throttle. Goose the throttle a bit before touch-down to soften the landing.

      Operational Notes

1.) It is recommended to fly the Osprey in hard-mode only to experience the flight model in it’s highest fidelity. The Ospreys FM is a bit too complex in the vertical flight profile to fly properly in anything other than hard.

2.) Though the Osprey works in all iterations of Thirdwire flight-sims, it performed the best in Wings over Israel. Once the other iterations are patched to WoI standards, this will obviously change.

3.) The real-world Osprey is fly-by-wire… the onboard computer does a lot of the workload that you will need to do to fly the Osprey smoothly and efficiently. Rule of thumb: Use small control inputs while in hover and don’t over correct when it gets squirrelly. If you ham-fist the Osprey it will throw you all over the place.

4.) The cargo doors are opened by whatever key you have mapped to open bomb-bay

5.) The AR Probe (air-refueling) is extended with whatever key you have mapped to extend the arrestor hook.

6.) The engine nacelles are rotated with whatever key you have mapped to control thrust-vectoring.

That’s it… fly have fun and don’t be afraid to critique.

    4. F/A-18F

      F/A-18E/F Super Hornet from Wiki....

      ******************************************************************

      F/A-18E/F Super Hornet

The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a supersonic carrier-capable fighter/attack aircraft. The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a

larger and more advanced derivative of the F/A-18C/D Hornet. The Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in

1999, replacing the F-14 Tomcat since 2006 and will serve alongside the original Hornet. The Super Hornet was ordered in 2007

by the Royal Australian Air Force to replace its aging F-111 fleet.

Airframe changes. The forward fuselage is unchanged while the wing, center and aft fuselage, tail surfaces and power plants

are new. The wing area of the Super Hornet is 25% larger. The fuselage was stretched to carry more fuel and room for future

avionics upgrades. An engine with 35% more power, the General Electric F414, was developed from the Hornet's F404 to power

this larger, heavier aircraft. The Super Hornet can return to an aircraft carrier with a larger load of unspent fuel and

munitions than the original Hornet. The term for this ability is known as "bringback". Bringback for the Super Hornet is in

excess of 9,000 pounds (4,000 kg).

Other differences include rectangular intakes for the engines, a reduced radar cross section (RCS), two extra wing hard

points for payload, and other aerodynamic changes. One of the most significant of which is the inclusion of significantly

enlarged leading edge extensions (LEX) which provide improved vortex lifting characteristics in high angle of attack

maneuver, and reduce the static stability margin to enhance pitching characteristics. This results in pitch rates in excess

of 40 degrees per second.[ In the end, the Super Hornet shared little with earlier F/A-18s aft of the forward fuselage. The

Super Hornet has 42% fewer structural parts than the original Hornet design.Flight characteristics include being highly

departure resistant through its flight envelope, and having high angle-of-attack with care free flying qualities for combat

      and ease of training.

      Radar signature reduction measures

Survivability is an important feature of the Super Hornet design. The US Navy says that a "balanced approach" to

survivability was built in to the design. This means that it does not rely on low-observable technology such as stealth

systems-to the exclusion of other survivability factors. Instead, its design incorporates a combination of stealth, advanced

electronic-warfare capabilities, reduced ballistic vulnerability, the use of standoff weapons, and innovative tactics that

cumulatively and collectively enhance the safety of the fighter and crew.

The F/A-18E/F's radar cross section was reduced greatly from some aspects, mainly front and rear. The design of the engine

inlets reduce the aircraft's forward sector radar cross section. The alignment of the leading edges of the engine inlets is

designed to scatter radiation to the sides. Fixed fanlike reflecting structures in the inlet tunnel divert radar energy away

      from the rotating fan blades.

The Super Hornet also makes considerable use of panel join serration and edge alignment. Considerable attention has been paid

to the removal or filling of unnecessary surface join gaps and resonant cavities. Where the F/A-18A-D used grilles to cover

various accessory exhaust and inlet ducts, the F/A-18E/F uses perforated panels that appear opaque to radar waves at the

frequencies used. Careful attention has been paid to the alignment of many panel boundaries and edges, to scatter traveling

      waves away from the aircraft.

It is claimed that the Super Hornet employs the most extensive radar cross section reduction measures of any contemporary

fighter, other than the F-22 and planned F-35. While the F/A-18E/F is not a true stealth fighter like the F-22, it will have

a frontal RCS an order of magnitude smaller than prior generation fighters.

      Avionics

While there are some similar cockpit items of the original Hornet, the Super Hornet features a touch-sensitive, up-front

control display; a larger, liquid crystal multipurpose color display; and a new engine fuel display. The Super Hornet has a

quadruplex digital fly-by-wire system, as well as a digital flight-control system that detects and corrects for battle

damage.Super Hornet production started with the APG-73 radar. The APG-79 AESA radar was introduced later (see the upgrade

      section below).

The AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR (Advanced Targeting Forward Looking InfraRed), is the main electro-optical sensor and laser designator

pod for the Super Hornet. Defensive systems are coordinated through the Integrated Defensive Countermeasures system (IDECM).

The IDECM system includes the ALE-47 countermeasures dispenser, the ALE-50 towed decoy, the AN/ALR-67(V)3 radar warning

receiver, and the ALQ-165 Airborne Self-Protect Jammer (ASPJ). Aircrew have the ability to use night vision goggles (NVG) for

Super Hornet operations which means the aircraft interior and exterior lighting are NVG compatible.

    5. Armed UH-1H

ITS only a Beta vers. IT dont have a pit.

I have changed the ini's so all you need is to download the UH-34 Seabat and Copy/paste the Cockpit folder and the UH-34_COCKPIT.ini
from that chopper. REMEMBER both files and dont remame the ini.

Also install the weapons that came with UH-34 Seabat and you have a nice armed UH-1H.

Mig-25 package by wpnssgt, usafmtl, tomcat1974, sundowner, ghostrider, deuces and moonjumper.

Pit is one made by the MF. This pit is stand in until we get a good Foxbat pit. But with MJ's pit tweaks its works just well.

You must have the latest wep pack in order for it to work. Also on the 2 seat version make sure you have the latest vid drivers as there was an issue with it when you take a screen shot. Not sure what it is. But is all I could come up with as a solution.

      Package includes:

      Mig-25P - Interceptor
      Mig-25PU 2 Seater
      Mig-25R Indian AF Version
Mig-25BM Anti Radar Version ------A2G Radar only
      Mig-25RB Recon/Bomber ------A2G Radar only
      Mig-25PD - Interceptor

      F-105F and G Thunderchief introduction & History
      ***********************************

The F-105F was heavily committed to combat over Southeast Asia. Some were quickly adapted for the "Wild Weasel" air-defense suppression role, fitted with electronics to detect enemy radars and target air defense sites for destruction in advance of strike packages. The original Air Force "Wild Weasel I" was a modified two-seat North American F-100F Super Sabre, but the F-100 wasn't fast enough to keep up with F-105 strike packages, and so the F-105F was selected for the role.

The major elements of the modification were addition of the "APR-25 Radar Homing And Warning (RHAW)" system, which picked up and located radar sites; the "APR-26 Launch Warning Receiver (LWR)", which provided warning of a missile launch; and an "IR-133 Scan Receiver" to search for emitters. The back-seat "electronics warfare officer (EWO)" controlled these devices and had a cockpit CRT to help locate targets.

The first such F-105F "Wild Weasel II", sometimes informally known as an "EF-105F", performed its first flight on 15 January 1966, and the Wild Weasel Thuds were engaged in active combat by the spring of that year. A total of 86 Wild Weasel F-105F conversions were performed.

The Wild Weasel F-105F was armed with the new "AGM-45 Shrike Anti-Radar Missile (ARM)", a modified Sparrow AAM with a radar-homing head, to destroy radar transmitters, and attacked air-defense sites with CBU-24 cluster bombs and other munitions. Sometimes Wild Weasel F-105Fs worked with F-105Ds in "hunter-killer" teams, with the Wild Weasel Thud pinpointing the target and the F-105Ds destroying it.

While other aircraft could avoid air-defense sites when possible, Wild Weasels actually had to attract their attention and take them on. This led to the Wild Weasel motto, which was "YGBSM", standing for "You Gotta Be s**ttin' Me!" Apparently this was the reaction of the first Wild Weasel aircrews when they were told what they were getting themselves into.

Wild Weasel crews were generally gutsy sorts, and they evolved tactics for outflying SAMs launched at them. They would watch for a missile launch, and then fly straight at the SAM at high speed, turning at the last moment. The fast-moving SAM would not be able to turn quickly enough to bring the fighter into the blast radius of its warhead.

Two Wild Weasel F-105F pilots won the highest American military award, the Congressional Medal of Honor. On 10 March 1967, Captain Merlyn F. Dethlefsen was piloting one of four Wild Weasel Thuds paving the way for a strike package. The leader was shot down by anti-aircraft fire, and North Vietnamese MiG-21 fighter made repeated passes on the survivors, trying to force them to dump their ordnance. Dethlefsen pressed home the attack anyway and destroyed the site. All three surviving Wild Weasels returned home with severe damage. Dethlefsen was personally awarded the medal by President Johnson.

On 19 April 1967, Lieutenant Colonel Leo K. Thorsness had completed a Wild Weasel strike when his wingmates were shot down. He was low on fuel but stayed around to cover the air rescue operation, driving of a flight of MiG-17s that tried to interfere. Thorsness shot down one MiG and damaged another. He passed up an opportunity to refuel from a tanker when another aircraft breathing fumes showed up, and landed safely at Ubon, a forward base in Thailand.

On 30 April, Thorsness' F-105 was hit and badly damaged. He and his EWO ejected, Thorsness being badly injured in the process, and were captured by the North Vietnamese. They spent over six years in a North Vietnamese POW camp.

      * 56 Wild Weasel F-105Fs were later updated to an improved "Wild Weasel III" configuration with the designation "F-105G", featuring improved avionics, as well as jammer pods that were faired into the forward fuselage, freeing up the underwing pylons for other stores. 14 of the F-105Gs were further modified to carry the big AGM-78 "Standard Anti-Radar Missile (STARM)", an air-launched variant of the US Navy's "Standard" SAM.

    15. F-14A+

      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
      | |
      | GRUMMAN F-14A+ TOMCAT |
      |
The F-14A+ Tomcat the best fleet defender. |
      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

      With the gracious permission of;

      The Mirage Factory and Olivier ANGUILLE (BPAo);

This update includes the avionics upgrade by Sandmartin and Batman1978 which uses the avionics70 file to provide improved HUD and air to air radar and tracking capabilities and the TCS mod. This TCS mod provides a boresighted view only and does not (yet) track selected targets. The Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) has been updated and includes the implementation originally developed by wpnssgt.

This variation of the original F-14A in one of the later operational configurations
to guard the fleet; the F-14A+. This is a minor tweak of the ini files to update the engines and radar. The F-14A+ included the same engines for the F-14D but this version did not include the air to ground capability of the F-14D. This is not the pre-production development mod but the fleet operational version which was also later referred to as the F-14B. Both the F-14A+ and the F-14B were employed in the fleet at the same time, with the F-14A+ generally deployed to the Pacific and the F-14B deployed to the Atlantic (the principle difference between the two aircraft being whether the squadron was in the Pacific or the Atlantic Fleet). This aircraft was withdrawn from fleet service in 2006 and replaced by the F-18F in the air to air role. All F-14's received air to ground capabilities in 1995 which are included in this model with the addition of conventional air to ground bombing capabilities.

The squadrons which deployed with the F-14A+ were VF-11, VF-24, VF-32, VF-74, VF-102, VF-103, VF-142 and VF-143. Those skins are not included in this file and must be downloaded and installed separately. The squadron skins included in this model are the original ones in the Mirage Factory F-14A. I recommend deleting the squadron skins in this model and loading the others. Since permission to include those skins was not given, those skins are not included here.

      export : None

Just unzip this entire folder into your WOE/Ojects/Aircraft folder.

Note -1. The avionics upgrade by Sandmartin and Batman1978 uses the avionics70 file to provide improved HUD and air to air radar and tracking capabilities. This avionics70 mod does NOT work in a Wings Over Vietnam (and possibly not in Strike Fighter) only install. So if you are using a WoV install you will need to use the alternate cockpit using the avionics60 version. The TCS mod works in both versions.

Note; the missile stations are designed to pick up Active Radar Homing missiles and will employ the AIM-7 and AIM-54 series air to
air missiles. The model here will also pick up the AIM-120 series in the sim, but the aircraft was never wired or certified to
carry that missile. So if you want the realism, don't load that one.

      Good hunting!

About the cockpit: A great work was made by Moonjumper to model russian avionics. It's the
best that could be done at the moment.
Concerning the radar, The SU-27 has a radar display which projects onto the HUD. It is not
possible to model this for now due to the game engine limitation ;).

    18. Mirage IIIO

      Mirage IIIO for Strike Fighters

This is a mod of the Mirage Factory's Mirage IIIE, to create the RAAF Mirage IIIO. The Mirage IIIO was a license-built IIIE, configured for Australian conditions. It was the RAAF's first-line fighter from the 1960's until the 1980's (it was sometimes informally rendered as the "III-Oz").

The Mirage was the RAAF's first supersonic aircraft, being selected in November 1960 over the F-104 Starfighter, F-5 Freedom Fighter, the Phantom II and the English Electric Lightning. The Mirage won out on its superior ability to operate from austere airfields, and its multirole capabilities.

The Mirage IIIO FM and screens are by Charles, and it comes with two skins by Gramps, a 75 Sqn 1960's camo scheme and a 3 Sqn 1980's low-vis grey.

Many thanks to the Mirage Factory for creating the Mirage IIIE,on which this mod is based. Please read the ReadMe for full instructions and credits.

    19. Soko G-4 Super Galeb v1.1

Soko G-4 Super Galeb by ID(io)Ts TEAM

Soko G-4 Super Galeb is single-engined basic/advanced flying and armament trainer with light attack capability, powered by one DMB (Rolls-Royce/Bristol Siddeley) Viper Mk 632-46 turbojet .
The aircraft was meant to be the advanced trainer for the former Yugoslav Air Force , substituing the elder Soko G2 "Galeb"in early 80's.The aircraft is usually compared with other planes of the
same type like Bae Hawk,Alpha Jet , although it is smaller and lighter .
It has never exceed the speed of 921 km/h at 11,000 m and maximum level speed "clean" 920 km/h at 6,000 m .Despites the nickname"Super Galeb", the aircraft is completely different from the elder Soko G2.
The good aerodynamic qualities are obvious in many airshows proving a very friendly and easy control of the airframe, between -4.00 and +8.00 G ,besides the semplicity and the durability.
The main armament of the aircraft is composed by rockets, bombs, cluster bombs, droptanks and the specific gun pod using Gsh-23 cannon. Some references talk about a special recon pod mounted, which permits at
the aircraft to be used in recon missions.
The G-4 saw many combat missions at the beginning of the Yugoslav wars, used like light-attacker. In total there were three Super Galebs shot down with pilots safely ejected.
During the Kosovo War the G-4 was used in few combat missions attacking the KLA positions in Kosovo at treetop level without loss, proving the high qualities of resistance to light SAMs and ground fire.
However, seven G-4 aircraft from the Lete?e Zvezde display team were destroyed in an underground tunnel at Golubovci Airbase, afer lasr guided bombing.

In the early 1990s the G-4 was a contender in the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System program in the U.S and was highly praised by American test pilots who flew it.
It lost the bid to the Raytheon/Pilatus entry, which became the T-6 Texan II.the only export order made for the aircraft was for six planes by Myanmar
      VERSION 1.1
due to inconvenient issues about shadows, we revised the max source file and deleted the .shd file from the game.

    23. SAIA90 Mirlo (Public Preview)

      Well people, here it is...

Cockpit is not included, so you'll have to borrow F-18A's one, since that is the one that best fit it, and then applying littlesmoke's repainting.
But I do include some weapons: MAAM90 in its three versions + tank + Spice1000 (Aliko's Public Preview).

As for the pilot, I recommend you PilotGear4 from AmokFlo pilot's pack, and Mk.10-2 from seat's pack I've published some time ago.

      Best regards... and enjoy it!

    25. PZL 230-F Skorpion

      --------------------------------------------------
      PZL 230-F Skorpion Ver 1.0
      --------------------------------------------------

      By Leopardo

      Dated 20th April 2009

Thanks to Bongodriver and AleDucat for their models that I used to learn. Thanks to everybody who post their addons that I used to learn and create this aircraft.

The PZL 230-F Skorpion was a polish design, at the 90's, of a multifunction aircraft, specially ground attack. It was cancelled, but not before it was request co-operation to EADS-CASA in Spain to help in the design.

I have carried out the aircraft as it was produced and it was used at Poland, Spain and Germany inside de NATO.

For the time being it uses the cockpit fron the Eurofighter of Bongodriver until I create a cockpit. The FM only work in normal mode, the hard mode is at "TO DO" stage.

      -Installation instructions:

Just install the aircraft into your objects/aircraft folder.

Put the weapons folder in objects folder. If you have a weapons pack installed then that folder will already be there. In that case take the contents and put them in the weapons folder. The data you need to add is at the end of this file.

To use the squadrons fron Ejercito del Aire, you have to add the data at the end of this file.

You must have ACESSII seat from AleDucat y pilot from Eurofighter from Bongodriver.

      It should work in SF/WOE/WOV/WOI.

(Sorry for my english, I am not fluent in it)

      ---------------
