QTO for post sept 08 patch WOE
By mikeymead
QTO for WOE post Sept 08 patch
Once installed this mod should reduce the take off times for whole flights by approx 50%.
It is set up to replace the stock airbases for both the German and Soviet bases and has no light modifications as I don't yet know how to change these.
Both German and Soviet airbase 3 are set up for bombers so the spacing is bigger.
This mod should not upset the randomly parked aircraft.
Installation:-
Back up or rename the 8 German and Soviet airbases.(just in case!)
Then copy and past the files in this mod to the GermanyCE terrain folder and thats it!
CREDITS: baffmeister and csb for their eariler similar mods as it was only by lookin at these that I could figure this out.
WAIVERS: I don't mind if anyone wants to use these files for freeware projects. I would prefer this file not be uploaded to any other sites as it may be subject to updates.
This is the the first file I've uploaded so be gentle with me!

More than just an open canopy mod....
By WombRaider
This is just yet another open canopy mod, but I went a bit further... For one, mine covers about every TK sim there is. Under the new code, every plane does something(except A-10,A-7s, and Harriers) The A-6, and the F-8E both have folding wings, and will be in that stance when you see them parked on the taxiways. The A-4 DATA inis include the non floppy deck crash into the carrier deck anomoly already installed! I also included all of the available Mig, and Su aircraft in on this mod too!
To install....
1. You need the latest patch (except for SFG)
2. If you have a mutant ninja install, this is set up for you! Just unzip to your sim's folder
3. If you do not have a merged install, you need to extract to a temporary folder, then place the plane folders individually.
4.To use the canopy, or wingfold
5.There are several cockpits available for the Mig-21s, and the Mig-17s, and Mig-19s. To make use of this mod fully, you might want to get some flyable red stuff going!
I hope you can make use of these files, they definitely added some immersion to my experience to the sim.
Good Hunting

F-102A Fast Bleed flight model V.3
By ordway
This is an alternate flight model I developed about a year before the F-102A Delta Dagger was released by Veltro2K. It is based on Pasko's F-106 flight model, but modified in deliberate ways. I used Mirage 3 flight models as a guide as well as it is underpowered and has that huge hanging delta.
After I finished, I stop watch timed its climb compared to the F-106, and it matched the specs very closely if I remember right.
I added more drag as well because of the more forward air inlets and other drag producing features. I played with the engine thrust until the climbing numbers worked out.
Although a beautiful flying airplane, it bleeds off speed much faster than the F-106 (and the standard released F-102A) in high G situations due to less engine power and more drag. It also climbs much slower, but still not bad compared to contemporaires.
However, It really is not a dogfighter as some would claim the later more powerful and more refined F-106 was. I have dogfighted this flight model against all types of early Migs to the Mig-21. If you keep fast and boom and zoom with its incredible radar system, you can equal the Mig-21 and sometimes kill one.
Thanks to Pasko for his incredible F-106 flight model.
V.3 changes.
The drop tanks are now droppable. Thanks Lexx_Luthor.
It was Pasko's F-106 flight model not Dave's that I based the F-102 on. Thanks Dave.
The pilot in the extenal view in now in the cockpit which some people had problems with depending on how much had been added.
Instructions:
1-Backup your files! (This time I really mean it...you may not like the flight model!)
2- Unzip the contents of the F-102 flight model folder to ...\SFP1\Objects\Aircraft\F-102A\.
3-When prompted, overwrite the files.
Enjoy!

countermeasures and debris edits
By tomcat21
REMINDER
Be sure to back up your excisting aircraftobject.ini, countermeasureobject.ini, debrisobject.ini, and shellobject.ini files in case there is a problem with these files and or you dont like them, so you can
revert back to the originals.
I did this after I noticed that after 3 seconds or so, everything in the game *drop tanks, pieces of planes, flares and whatnot* disappears. So I edited the files listed above to try to make everything
that falls from the plane, or anything type of countermeasure fall til it hits the ground. So now when you shoot down a plane, or use flares and chaff, it should all fall to the ground before disappear. Now you can watch as every piece of your enemy falls back to the earth. I tried to make it so that more pieces came off, or add more debris from lanes or ground targets. I'll try to work on it and get it tuned up a bit more so that you get mor parts raining down to the ground. and also try to make the flares rate of decent alot less than it is now so it acts more like the real thing. eitherway, have fun.
Installation
Just copy these files and paste them in your objects folder. Make sure you back up you original files these replace incase you dont like these, or if you want to reuse the originals.
Once added, test them out and see if the parts from the planes you shoot down, or the drop tanks or counter measures fall all the way to the ground. Im gonna try to work on this a bit more and try to add even more debris the next time. Anywho, have fun

WOI cockpit for MF F-16A with corrected avionics V1.1
I did this work hoping to motivate people to present a re-worked F-16C cockpit.
This mod enables WOI users to enjoy their MF F-16As with the stock hi-rez TW cockpit.
The stock TW F-16A in WOI unfortunately lacks TWS capability (Note: Apparently I was wrong, it was indeed without TWS in the very first batches), while MF F-16As lacked ground map capability due to a mixture of avionics60 lines in an avionics70dll file (Note: As I was informed, it was later corrected).
Furthermore, TMF avionics are more representative of Blk1/5/10s, instead TW are a bit stronger, more representative of Blk 15 avionics.
I re-worked the avionics.ini to present something as close to reality as I could, based on the stock WOI cockpit.
V1.1 Changes:
TWS Capability deleted from Blk 10 Avionics
TV Capability restored in Blk 15 Avionics
If you want to use MF TV filter instead of the TW, change this line from
TextureStage[01].TextureName=GreenTVFilter.bmp
;TextureStage[01].TextureName=cockpit\GreenTVFilter.bmp
TextureStage[01].MipMap=FALSE
to
;TextureStage[01].TextureName=GreenTVFilter.bmp
TextureStage[01].TextureName=cockpit\GreenTVFilter.bmp
TextureStage[01].MipMap=TRUE
NOTE: Not 100% sure when Maverick capability was certified for F-16s. It seems to me that it was a retrofit in a later date for Blk1/5/10 aircraft.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Download, extract and place into respective folders. They will overwrite the previous ones. Remember to keep back ups just in case...
2) Change this line
CockpitDataFile=
from
CockpitDataFile=F-16A_cockpit.ini
to
CockpitDataFile=F-16A_NETZ_COCKPIT.ini
NOTE: Do not, I repeat DO NOT delete the already installed cockpit, since I use many TGAs from the MF cockpit. It won't work properly without it.
ADDED BONUS: Modified MF F-16A OCU DATA file with F100-220E engine.
I want to thank TW & MF and every person that contributed to the community.
If an individual deserves credit, please notify me.
REMEMBER THIS IS A FREEWARE!

More zoom in cameras and fly-by camera zoomable
By pay2021
This is simple edit for VIEWLIST.INI thats allow to more zoom and make the fly-by camera zoomable.
Put in your "Flight" folder, backup first!!
Tested in WOE.
*Optional: i recommend to eliminate the color cones because when the zoom is too big the cones also makes bigger and at the max zoom him blocks the visual, you can make this editing some lines in HUDData.ini in same folder.
Find the line
ConeModelName=xxxxxxxxx
and erase the value to look like this
ConeModelName=
Thats all.
Sorry for my english.

Mi-24P data ini
By Stick
This is yet another iteration of the Mi-24P data.ini Hind-F uploaded by Orsin.
It is based almost exclusively on Gepard's Mi-24D Dora data.ini work. So all credit accrues to him.
On HARD settings the gunship has a tendency to porpoise at speeds in excess of 140Kts.
Simply copy-paste into your Mi-24P folder.

Airfield Approach Ligths
By Marat
This is my version of airfield approach lights for SF1 series. I gathered already existing airfield approach lights from http://combatace.com/files/file/1866-runway-approach-lights/ uploaded by HrntFixr and from http://combatace.com/files/file/1866-false/uploaded by the same Submitter (no modifications were made with his work, just changing the time of lights on and off), and mixed them with German airbases, Soviet airbases, Desert airfields and VietnamSEA airfields. I made small edits with time the lights are on and off and now a compromise was found between the time the lights are switched on and off: now the lights are switched on after 4.00 PM and off after 8.00 AM, that was done for having the lights always on in the inclement weather, the lights are on 24 hours in the inclement weather so now it is not difficult to find the airfield and land in the inclement weather. The images show the airfield approach lights at their finest! I specially uploaded many screenshots with various aircrafts to show how these lights transform and make more realistic the overall picture of this fantastic game!
These are complete airfields inis - no need to change anything inside the same, just copy and paste into your terrains. Backup your airfield inis before you drop these ones if you do not like them and do not want to use anymore. Hope you will like it!
This is my first work I share with gamers of this fantastic game! J
Backup your airfield inis in your terrains before installation. Just drop these inis into your terrains. Be careful that each terrain has own specific airfield inis: German and Soviet airbases for GermanCE, Black Sea, Kamchatka terrains etc., Desert airfields for IsraelME, Libya terrains etc., VietnamSEA airfield for DRV. Probably it will be compatible with SF2 series terrains as well.
Please try yourselves.

Weapons LOD and Flyby View Mod
By Guest
This is a new mod that will change the zoom levels for chase view as well as allow zooming in the flyby view. The distance before camera switching has also been extened to 4500 feet so that you can fly circles and loops without the camera switching every few seconds. It also includes ini files for each weapon in the game that allows the LOD to remain constant thus eliminating the appearance and disappearance of your underwing weapons. Very cool stuff and simple to install.

Quicker Take Offs for Strike Fighters/WOV
By baffmeister
THIS FILE IS OBSOLETE. NEWER VERSIONS THAT WORK WITH LATEST THIRDWIRE UPDATES ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS SITE.
[includes fixes to airfield lighting. Fixes done by "Piett", "Sidewinder86", "Eightlein", "Comrpnt", and a few by myself.]
This mod should decrease the time required to get aircraft airborne by at least 50%. The mod involves putting 2 aircraft on the runway at the same time as well as tightening the spaceing on the next few aircraft on the taxiway. Third Wires aircraft are quite well behaved when taxiing under AI but some add on aircraft tend to bounce a lot and others don't like to turn. I used 2 "bouncers" in the test program and it took lots of adjustments on the taxi waypoints to get them to work. I think this mod should work OK with most aircraft but can't guarantee it. If you have large bombers installed in your game there is an optional file available for the large airport. It has increased spaceing for the taxi waypoints but is still quicker than the stock version. It was tested with the TU-16 Badger and the B-47. This mod works OK with the DRV terrain and probably many others. To use this mod in WOV just change the file names from DESERT_AIRFIELD"X" to VIETNAMSEA_AIRFIELD"X" and copy them into the WOV terrain folder. Regards.
CHANGES FOR VER 2.1 : Now includes "Comprnt's" fixes for the missing taxiway lighting on the big airport.

MiG-17 & MiG-19 Family Variants Data Ini Upgrades
By Wrench
Data Ini Fixes for Various Frescos & Farmers - WoV/WoE/WoI
This package of data inis is designed to bring various sub-variants of the MiG-17 and MiG-19 family up to the latest, post 9/08 patch standard.
They are designed for use on mods from Madcaddie & howling1s "MigPak", "More Migs Pak" and "Still More Migs Pak", which are available at AvSim. Also included is a data ini for the Cuban MiG-17AS by Starfighter, Pasko's 17PFU, and a couple of mods by me, and some other people I can't remember....
The data inis contained herein are modification, per nations and loads, with all the FM updates, taken right from a freshly extracted stock MiG-17F Fresco-C and MiG-19S Farmer-C data inis. This brings in the newly added AI sections, and improved FM to these very old mods...
The aircraft 'repaired' by the enclosed data inis are:
J-4(IRM)
J-4
J-5A (PLAAF mod of Pasko's 17PFU)
MiG-17AS (by starfighter)
MiG-17F(SF-E)
MiG-17PF (SP-16)
MiG-17PF
MiG-17PFU (Pasko)
MiG-19 (IRM mod)
MiG-19F
MiG-19P
MiG-19PM (these 2 by me, The Wrench)
MiG-19SF
F-6 (Shenyang Farmer, Pakistani AF)
I've tried to keep the weapons "NationName" and "AttachmentType" as close to stock whenever and wherever possible. I've tried to design this fix for use with any weapons pak ...remember all these aircraft WERE designed with the Bunyap Pak of 6/06 in mind. If you plan to use these with a 'stock' install, you WILL need to add the various weapons called out in their loadout inis. MOST IMPORTANTLY, if you plan on using these with the Mirage Factory Weapons Pak; either the WoI (-which you shouldn't, really-) or the soon-to-be-released WoE version, you WILL have to import various and sundry bits. In particular, the Izumrd radar nose for the 17P/PF/PFU/J-5A, 19P/PM and the nationalized weapons for the Paki F-6 (as their Sidewinder is a mod of the US version, plus their nationalized bombs and rocket pods and suchlike...), plus the 'pylons' necessary for their attachment.
Highly detailed information on the various loadouts, and eariler data ini fixes can be found in the CombatAce Knowledge Base, in the "Bunyap Wepons and Loadouts Fixes Thread"
http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=18346
It is highly suggested that you spend some time in there..otherwise, you may have some "issues".
Happy Landings

WOV Da Nang (Airfield_1) extra lights for buildings & structures
By comrpnt
This is an update to the original posting.
Inspiration for this work came mostly from extending the excellent approach
lights mod from Sidewinder86 (See here) and also reading up on Eightlein's details on lighting various airfield structures (here). I've extended that work and applied it only to Da Nang.
Also see here for details on static/parked aircraft for Da Nang and installing the QRA sheds at the North end of the airfield.
[update Info]
I noticed that this mod makes heavy use of the ground object modifications I had included in my earlier 'statics' postings. For Da Nang that's fine, but, for all other fields in WOV that use Airfield_1 the lights would still appear, and that looked just plain weird. I've corrected this dependence with this update so you can have the lights only apply to one field.
The extra lights entries detailed in this mod all live in a new file called VietnamSEA_Airfield1_DaNang.ini. This file is referenced from the existing "Da Nang Air Base" entry in the VIETNAMSEA_TARGETS.INI file. Simply change this entry to read the following:
[TargetArea091]
Name=Da Nang Air Base
...
AirfieldDataFile=VietnamSEA_Airfield1_DaNang.ini
...
The new extra lights in this mod illuminate all of the tall buildings and structures in the airfield vicinity:
- ASR Radar dish
- QRA Sheds (internal flood lights and external anti-collision lights)
- Fuel tanks
- Ramp fuel store
- Ramp Hangars (external flood lights and anti-collision lights)
- Heli-pad for RAF Rescue SH-3
- Water tower
- Bomb dumps
- Control Tower
This mod has only been tested with WOV but with some modifications this mod can be applied to SFP1. If the layout of Airfield_1 is the same then simply changing the names accordingly will enable SFP1 to pick up the changes.
See the following forum entry for screenshots of the changes defined below: (http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2798)
I hope you like them.
Regards, P.T. :-)

A310 MRTT Refuelling Drogue Lights
By comrpnt
Hi folks, I've had a go at adding some drogue lights to the A310 MRTT refuelling tanker, to make it more fun to line up during a night tanking exercise.
This lights mod is a bit of a hack as when the A310 comes in to land the lights remain visible, but for practice they work pretty well and seem real enough when the A310 is in flight.
[Aside]
I've still to sort out the best way to get an AI aircraft to turn their lights on or off on-demand via some Lights setting the _data.ini file. If someone comes across the setting or parameter value that enables this in an .ini file then please pass me the details it would be a real bonus for this and my other static aircraft mods.
[Mk2 Comments]
I updated the original post as I noticed a slight misalignment with the right-side drogue. I've moved the right-side lights across (+X coords) to fix this.
Cheers, kind regards, P.T. :-)
