    1. VF-85 F4U-1c Decal Fix

      VF-85 F4U-1c Decal Fix

      For SF1/WOV/WOE PTO/CBI installs

      This fixes the blank decal's that show up and stops the decal no show (hopefully). I have included a filler decal so when the game engine cycle’s the numbers there is a decal that will show. Just the VF-85 lightning bolt with no number.

      To install: Unzip and just drop the VF-85 folder in to your F4U-1c folder, over right? Say Yes.
      I have also updated the numbers.lst

      Tested with WOE Patched 06

      Original readme included.

    6. Falklands Frigates (Working) v.1.1

      ---------------------------------------------
      Falklands Frigates - Working v. 1.1
      ---------------------------------------------

      This package contains re-worked verions of five British frigates that saw action in the Falklands/Malvinas Conflict of 1982. All five models were released previously at CombatAce, but they suffered from non-functioning guns and/or surface-to-air missiles. All versions included in this release include working guns and missiles.

      Included are:

      - HMS Brilliant (Type 22 Class Frigate)
      - HMS Antelope (Type 21 Class Frigate)
      - HMS Argonaut (Type 12L/Leander Class Frigate)
      - HMS Plymouth (Type 12M/Rothesay Class Frigate)
      - HMS Yarmouth (Type 12M/Rothesay Class Frigate)

      The Brilliant is equipped with Sea Wolf SAMs. The Antelope, Argonaut, Plymouth, and Yarmouth are equipped with Sea Cat SAMs. Note that the Sea Cat SAM version included here for the Type 12M frigates uses tweaked data and is designed to be installed side-by-side with other Sea Cat versions you might already have installed for other ships.

      * Updated (11/19/2010): verion 1.1 of this package adds the Antelope and Argonaut.

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Installation
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~

      The following installation process is designed for Strike Fighters 1 ("Gen 1") installs, but it can be easily adapted to Strike Fighters 2 ("Gen 2") installs.

      Step 1: Drop the \Objects folder included here in the installation
      folder for your SFP1 install (whether it be SF Gold, WOE,
      WOV, or WOI).

      Step 2: Add the data from ForWeaponData.txt to your WeaponData.INI
      file and save the changes using the Weapons Editor for SFP1.

      Step 3: Add the data from ForGunData.txt to your GunData.INI file and
      save the changes using the Guns Editor for SFP1.

      That's it.

      ~~~~~~~
      Credits
      ~~~~~~~

      I did not create these models. All I did was hack the DATA.INIs to get the weapons working properly. The original authors of these ships are as follows:

      HMS Brilliant ...... Banidos Team
      HMS Antelope ....... Banidos Team
      HMS Argonaut ....... Banidos Team
      HMS Plymouth ....... Hinchinbrooke
      HMS Yarmouth ....... Hinchinbrooke

      The destroyed model for the Brilliant is from the Banidos Team's Type 21 frigate. See the \_Docs folder for the original readme texts for all five ships.

    7. Medals Pack, Israeli-Arab Wars - February 2015 update

      The State of Israel provides very few medals even to his bravest soldiers. Three in all are actually attributed, which are all included as stock in SF1:Wings over Israel or SF2:Israel. Additionally, they are scarcely awarded, and almost never seen on the chests even of the best aces of the Israeli Air Force. The few ribbons that could be seen there were mostly awarded for participation in a given campaign, not for exceptional feats, honorable wounds, or exemplary long service.

      This mod makes these campaign ribbons available; they will allow you to keep a track of the campaigns during which your pilot has flown even just a handful of missions. Moreover, I have included as well the badges for command citations that could be granted for special feats. A devoted panel of decorations has been created for each of the following selected periods when Israel was fighting an open war or undeclared hostilities. You shall just have to upload the correct panel before beginning a campaign. Citations have been arranged to restitute the fact that no medals actually existed before 1973.

      Eight periods covered:
      War of Independence 1948-49
      Sinai Campaign 1956
      Interwar 1956-67
      Six-Day War 1967
      Interwar 1967-73
      Yom Kippur War 1973
      Interwar 1973-82 (also works for 21st Century what-if campaigns)
      Operation Peace for Galilee 1982

      Changes in the June 2012 update:
      New panel added for the War of Independence (campaign existing for SF2:Israel)
      New lowest level of citation added in all panels (brigade commander citation), inducing some changes in the awards' criteria and precedence; citations rewritten accordingly
      Modified AwardScreen for SF2:Israel

      Changes in the February 2015 update:
      French translation now included for all of the awards' names and citations. If you chose an installation of the game in French, just overwrite the relevant folders with those enclosed in the "French" folder.

      I. HISTORY

      In mid 70th the egyptian technicians replaced the R-11 engine of the MiG-21F13 by the R-13 which came with the MiG-21MF. When it became obviesly that it was a successfull project the same upgrade program was started with the MiG-21PF. The R-11 was replaced by the R-13 engine and in the most cases the holding bolt for the GP-9 gunpod was included. In some few cases the brakechute container was placed above the engine pipe as it is known from the later MiG-21 seria.
      With this upgrade program the MiG-21PF became faster and more agile. With the gunpod the MiG-21PF pilot had a substancial increased dogfight capability.

    17. Sambad & IAI Sa'ar pack (1958-1975) - WOI

      Dassault Sambad & IAI Sa'ar (1958-1975) for WOI

      This skin pack for Thirdwire's stock Super Mystère B2 (Sambad, from the acronym SMBD) and Sa'ar (Tempest) covers every Sambad and Sa'ar in Israeli service from 1958 to 1975. It includes several skins for each type that reflect changed paint schemes, attrition, losses, replenishments and upgrades. The serial numbers itself are as real as it gets, but due to lack of reliable and/or complete information, some service dates might be wrong.

      The Sambad was the IAF's first supersonic fighter and also its first aircraft with an afterburning engine. On December 4th 1958, the first Israeli Super Mystères arrived at Hatzor's No. 105 Scorpion Squadron. When the J52-P-8A engine became available with the introduction of the A-4 Ayit in late 1967, IAF engineers suggested it replacing the Sambad's unreliable Atar 101G-3 engine. While not afterburning, the J52 was lighter and more powerful than the original engine, allowing for more ordnance and an extended range. Other modifications to the original airframe included an extended rear fuselage to accommodate the new engine (also anticipating and inspiring the 'barrel mod' on the Ayits) and two new hardpoints for the Shafrir 2 air-to-air missile.
      The first upgraded Sambad - now called IAI Sa'ar - entered service in 1969 and conversion was complete in early 1973. Only two years later, in March 1975, the Sa'ars of No. 105 Squadron were replaced with the F-4E Kurnass. The remaining Sa'ars were sold to Honduras in 1976.

      INSTALLATION:

    18. Lockheed NF-104A for SFP1

      Lockheed NF-104A for SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI Oct.08 standard

      In 1963, three ex-USAF F-104As (56-756, -760, and -762) were taken out of storage at Davis Monthan AFB and modified as NF-104A aerospace training aircraft. All of the military equipment was removed and the original F-104A vertical fin was replaced by the larger fin that was used on the F-104G. The wingspan was increased by four feet (to 25.94 feet) and a set of hydrogen peroxide control thrusters were mounted at the nose, tail, and wingtips. A 6000 pound thrust Rocketdyne LR121/AR-2-NA-1 auxiliary rocket engine was mounted on the tail above the jet exhaust pipe. This rocket engine could be throttled from 3000 to 6000 pounds of thrust, and the burn time was about 105 seconds.

      The first NF-104A was delivered on October 1, 1963, with the other two following a month later. They were operated by the Aerospace Research Pilot School at Edwards AFB, which was commanded at that time by Colonel Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager.

      On December 6, 1963, the first NF-104A set an unofficial world altitude record of 118,860 feet for aircraft taking off under their own power. The official record at that time was 113,829 feet, set by the Mikoyan/Gurevich Ye-66A, an experimental version of the MiG-21 Fishbed. Later, the same NF-104A flown by Major R. W. Smith reached an altitude of 120,800 feet.

      On December 10, 1963, the second NF-104A (56-762), with Chuck Yeager at the controls, went out of control at an altitude of 104,000 feet and fell in a flat spin to 11,000 feet. Yeager managed to eject successfully at that altitude, although he was badly burned on his face by the rocket motor of his ejector seat. The aircraft was destroyed in the ensuing crash. An investigation later showed that the cause of the crash was a spin that resulted from excessive angle of attack and lack of aircraft response. The excessive angle of attack was not caused by pilot input but by a gyroscopic condition set up by the J79 engine spooling after shut down for the rocket-powered zoom climb phase. So it wasn't Chuck's fault.

      In June of 1971, the third NF-104A, with Capt. Howard C. Thompson at the controls, suffered an inflight explosion of its rocket motor. Although Thompson was able to land safely, the aircraft's rocket motor and half its rudder were blown away. Since the program was about to end in any case, this aircraft was retired.

      The number one NF-104A is currently on display on top of a pylon in front of the USAF Test Pilot School.

      IMPORTANT!!!
      You need SFP1 to have the stock F-104G and cockpit files.
      or follow these precious instructions: http://combatace.com/topic/57393-flyable-f-104s-for-sf2
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Pilot Notes:

      -The rocket engine is set to use "Thrust vectoring" as a throttle control to permit separate control from the jet engine. The rocket will operate only with afterburning regime and with only 2 stages, half and full power. From idle to military it will not generate thrust and so will not affect fuel consumption.

      -This plane is equipped with hydrogen peroxide Reaction Control System like the real plane. To engage the system simply throttle the rocket a bit over idle.
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Installation:

      Simply copy all the files in the respective directory of your game folder.

    20. Tiran Pack(israeli T-54, T-55, T-62)

      Tiran Panzers
      *****************

      ----------------------------------------------------------
      I. HISTORY

      In the 6 days war Israel captured hundrets of egyptian and syrian T-54 and T-55. In opposite to the common trevia the Israelis accepted this panzers as good, reliable and powerfull vehicles and used them under the designation Tiran in the IDF. Tiran1 were the T-54 and Tiran2 the T-55.
      Tiran panzers proofed very successfull in Yom Kippur war. For instance: the war deciding israeli panzer attack at Sinai was launched by Tiran vehicles. The major plus point of the israeli Tiran over their arab counterparts was the superior crew training. While arab crews were only able to fire from stand the israeli Tiran crews were able to fire while moving. Arab crews needed 20 -30 second for a aimed shot. Iraeli crews needed 15 seconds. The difference seems to be not much on the first view, but it is deciding.( Mind experiment: 10 egyptian T-55 and 10 israeli Tiran2 detect each other at the same time at a range of 1.800 meters, the israelis will fire after 15 seconds. At this range the hit chance of the vehicles gun (D-10TS) is 2/3 = 66,666% What means, that after the first israeli salvo only 3 to 4 egyptian tanks survive. If the egyptians fire 5 - 10 seconds later they will hit 2 - 3 Tiran. 7 - 8 surviving israeli tanks will shoot back and will kill the rest of egyptian tanks with the next salvo)
      During Yom Kippur war israeli forces captured further T-54, T-55 and T-62. The later ones were pressed in service under designation Tiran3. Modernised T-62 with 105mm gun L-7 got the designation Tiran 6.

    22. Israeli 105th squadron Kurnass skins

      Here are two skins for TMF's late Kurnass (with the re-fueling probe).
      They represent the planes of the Israeli Air Force 105th squadron, displaying red and red/white arrows along the fuselage. Accurate serials are also included.
      I used the TMF Kurnass skin, and combined it with sundowner's skins from his Kurnass pack. There are also alternative fuselage and tail sections included.

      Drop the skins in the folder and have fun.

      Remember, to be used correctly you should add them as static objects in a terrain.

      The idea is to be used to repopulate air bases and give them life
      I remind you that each scene contains around 6.500 polys.
      If you put several scenes together and your machine is not very modern, Perhaps the development of the game becomes slow

    25. PLAAF pilot pictures

      Hi, everyone, here's something to share with. It's not huge, but just something for pilot records.
      This is my very personal collection of PLAAF pilot pictures, use them in any way you like.
      They might not be in same size, but I think they fit well in the game.
      Just drop all pics on the PilotData folder in your SF1/2 folders.
      There are both modern pilots include 6 Chinese astronauts and 9 more pilots from Korean war to 2011.
      The detailed information can be found in Read me.
      Enjoy!
