MiG-21 Fishbed Skin Set for F-13/FL/PF/PFM versions used in Middle East by Egypt,Syria,Iraq.
Ive made several camo skin sets because i was bored of stock ones in Wings Over Israel. So this will bring some more colors to game. I think its around 17-18 skins. With some diferences so its not boring anymore..at least for me.
Paints are mostly based on photos (usually poor quality).
All skins are new made by me based on comrad's great template http://combatace.com...-21-mfsm-temps/
I repainted few things and added few new (like on F skin).
Pack includes only skins. There is no ini files, for decals etc. So it can be easly configured for your use. Just replace old ones or just create new folder fornew paint.

Czech MiG-21MF "Grey 7701" Splinter Camo

Hi all,
This is my first Strike Fighters 2 skin. This aircraft is a MiG-21MF wearing an experimental "Splinter Camo" paint job with low visibility roundels. I. History
In the east german airforce LSK (Luftstreitkräfte) each single plane had a unique paint scheme. There was no standard for the form of staines, dots or stripes. So the technicians of the squadrons and repair facilities had free hand for the paintshop.
Originally it was intended to have a two tone camo. The colors had to be brown and green. But the tone of the paint was not specified, so that lighter and darker greens and browns were possible. It depended a lot on the availability of the paint. On the other hand the brown paint was very fast weathering, so that it appeared soon as a green tone. Nobody knows why the paint changed from brown to green. It simply happend. Perhaps it had something to do with the sun?
So a very wide range of colors was to find on the planes. In the late 80th a 3 tone camo was used.
This package contains 40 different camos, connected with the tactical numbers, so that you will find 40 planes each with an other unique camo. The camos are LSK style. They are not historical correct. The reason for this is, that there is no reliable source for the east german MiG-21 camo. All paintschemes, even that in the museums, are LSK style (freestyle)
. So i decided to make this set as freestyle. A NVA MiG-21 could have looks like that, what you find in this package.

= For SF2, Any/All (albeit Designed with SF2:I in Mind) =
A simple repaint for the stock MiG-21MF Fishbed-J in Egyptian Air Force service. This skin repsents 'late model' versions with the Hi-Visibiliby Orange Triangles.
Based off the stock skin, and run though my Home-Grown Template Set ; all markings use stock in-game items.
This skin makes use of the 'start default year' statment in it's textureset.ini, and is set for 1983. My "best guess" as based on photos and other researched kinda stuff.
This skin is in jpg format for post-Nov 2011 patch level. If you are not at that level (for whatever insane reason), you'll have to convert them back to bmp. Also included are slightly modified Data and Loadout inis, making some small, but needed, adjustments. The canopy is activated via the Standard Manual Animation Keystroke -shift/0. The engine sound has been changed to the TMF "MiGEngine.wav", also included.
It is also quite possible this skin can be adapted for use on other Fishbed variants, as used by the EAF.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!
Obviously, this mod makes the assumption (Oh! That Word!!) you've made this aircraft flyable.

As stated above, you MUST have an install that has the MiG-21F in it. As this is pretty much ALL installs, it should work in all types, merged or not. It also assumes you've made the aircraft flyable. If not, consult the CombatAce Knowledge Base for instructions.
The skin is a base natural metal with a partly repainted (from a partial template) tail bmp to add the FAR rudder flash. The stock in-game Bort number decals are used, as all the photographic evidence seems to point that way. (in fact, other than the repainted tail bmp, everything is stock!)
The latest (as of 1/11 patch) _data ini is included, as I've activated the canopy, and included a modified Loadout ini, that adds the centerline drop tank to the base Air-to-Air loadout, and reset the RECON loadout. The engine sound has been set to the old TMF "MiGEngine.wav" (not supplied), but there are several good/better ones out there for you to find.
A replacement main ini (MiG-21F.ini), and a NEW avionics ini that activates the gun-ranging radar are included. When installing allow for the overwrite. Any other skins will be automatically added (so, not to worry!)
The canopy is activated via a manual animation key (use shift/0 to open and close it). As all the decals used are stock, there are no additional decals to be added.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highyl detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

Texture for Strike Fighters 2 Israel
IrAF No.9 Squadron was the first unit to be deployed in Syria at the October 1973 War(Ramadan War).
On Oct 6, 1973 at 16.00 the Squadron was put in alert and ordered to transfer from H-3/al-Wallid to Syria.
The transfer was complete on Oct 7, 1973 by 16.40 hours with 10 MiG-21PFMs, pilots and ground personnel at
Dmeyr and Tsaykal ABs. CO was Maj Namik Saadallah.
The MiG-21PFMs arrived in Syria uncamouflaged and were painted with standard SyAAF colours during the night from 7 to 8 October 1973.
IrAF MiG-21PFMs(serie numbers 702 to 705, 710 to 737)were from 1968 wired to use GP-9 gunpod. By the October 1973 War the missiles remained the standard R-3S.
The first batch of the much improved R-13M1(Atoll AA-2D)arrived in Iraq in 1974.

I think it could add variety to SF2I and maybe our friend RAN could use in his
historic, outstanding missions.

I always liked very much this EAF skin (original picture included), so I’m very proud to share with you.
I know that it’ld be a post Kippur war, but if someone knows something more about this, please post it.
The included new white four digit arab numbers complete set is a rework of stock ones.
This skin is made for SF-2 but works in Woi, too.
To install only put Objects folder in your WoI / SF2 mods main folder, that,s all.
This is the first Mig in this new section ... many will follow.

A new skin/decal pak for the stock 3rd Wire MiG-2MF "Fishbed-J", representing EtAF MiGs from the late 1970s to the present.
This is a complete package, containing Paladrain's cockpit (just in case you haven't made it flyable yet). Modified data and loadout inis, and so forth. The canopy has been activated via animation key, the Usual Suspect , Shift/0.
An extra main ini, called "xMiG-21MF.ini" is supplied so after patching, or DLC installation, a simple 'One click Operation' will return this aircraft to Player-Usable status. Instruction on how-to are in the "To Install" section below.
The skin is based of the stock 3W one for the SyAF, as it has the closest colors and camo pattern, with all new decals and serials. (note: some as originally delivered were in Natural Metal. Camo looks better to me!) Insignia decals are stock in-game items. Serials for 25 aircraft are supplied. Decal randomization is set to TRUE, and this skin has a default start date of 1977 (when Ethiopia recieved their first ones). The number sequencing (10**) is correct for these aircraft as there were at least 2 full squadrons of Fishbeds of varying marks in the EtAF, including some 21bis. Many of which were captured or defected to Eritrea during the civil war.
A new, 'generic Fishbed' SF2 style hanger screen is also included.
All weapons called for are stock, in-game items from/for a Full-4 Merged install. A new 'year specific' loadout for all users has been added to the loadout ini, based on several profiles and pictures I came across doing research. (adds more missles, similar to 21bis - apparently, =MANY= MFs were modified this way)
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

Croatian Air Force MiG-21SM/MF

A skin set for Russouk2004's Croatian MiG-21SM/MF òr 5tipe's MiG-21bisD.
Two silver/grey skins for the early starting days of the Croatian Air Force (1991-ish),
and two camo skins for the 1993+ period. Serials are used from Russouk2004's
MiG-21SM/MF, so keep that in mind.
If you want to use it for 5tipe's BisD, rename all skin files from "MF" to "BIS".

LSK Mig-21bis

Sometimes ago I made LSK/NVA historical serials using Soulfreak’s temps, including “Q” badges on known planes.
I wanted to use them on a silver and maybe a camo skin.
But TK made the Camo for SF2EU and Gepard the bluesilver one for SF1.
So I used my decals with those existing skins to add a bit of authenticy to the game.
I hope You like it.
