  1. Operation Isbjörn 1.1 Patch
You need Operation Isbjörn main package installed for this to work:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/12318-sf2e-the-scandinavian-front-operation-isbjorn/

Kindly note main package version number as it may have been upgraded to include patches.

    FEATURES:

    New Squadron: F 1 Hässlö
Operating J 33 Venoms, they are preforming Night Fighter duties for the Swedish Air Force. They will hunt Soviet Aircraft in all mission types
    under the cover of darkness.
    Minor Changes:
    - Minor Tweaks to Ground War. Helsinki should now not be the first city attacked.

    - Naming tweaks

    - A number of minor campaign changes.

    - paulopanz J 34 Hawker Hunter added for people w/o DLC 008.

    Note:
The Venom is not the NF version, hence it lacks Radar. This is not a big issue in SF2, as the MiGs you encounter glady
put on their afterburners in case you cannot see them properly.

    Credits:
Thanks to: Pasko, Column5, Gramps, Wrench and paulopanz for the Venom.
Thanks Knug for the J33 Skin.

  2. Operation Darius

Mods Folder Paks, In Various Parts

As the entire mods folder would have been FAR to huge to upload (855 megs zipped with 7z), the varous and sundry folders have been broken down into parts.

You'll need to d/l EACH and EVERY part, and then unzip them into a temp folder to reassemble the entire thing.

Once assembled, you'll need to create a stand-alone mods folder for the 'NATO Action Group' (aka NAG - or call it whatever you want).

You'll then delete ALL the folders from the NAG mods folder, and use ONLY those supplied. (With the exception of the main /Objects folder - you still need someplace to put the G0,Decals,Pilots, Weapons and aircaft. BTW, the aircraft d/l is divided into 3 parts)

You can, OTH, simply install the GroundObjects, Aircraft, Pilots, Weapons, Guns, and Decals to a regualar install, but you do so at your own risk. There is a distinct possiblity of severe damage to said install.

Howver, use of the varous GroundObjects would probably NOT cause any difficulties. Many of them you may already have; 99.9% of the original releases were WRONG in how they were handled either for incorrect Nations applied and/or the complete and utter lack of proper Userlist.inis. This has been corrected.

As yet, there is no 'Campaign' built for this .. it's designed for running single missions, as outlined in the various threads in the General Discussion Forum. You'd be adivsed to read through those, to get a feel for what's going on
    ===========

This is Part 2, which contains the following sub-folders for your Mods folder's main /Objects folder, as seen in the screenshot above:

    Decals

    Pilots
    Weapons

  6. Operation Great White North

On Sept 7 1995 the province of Quebec held a referendum to split away from the rest of Canada, in reality the final results were 50.5% to stay in Canada, and 49.5% to seperate....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quebec_referendum,_1995

In this "what-if" scenario the results are reversed and Quebec has decided to seperate, some of the western provinces start the process to follow Quebec’s lead to form a Western Alliance of their own and the Canadian government is brought to it's knees.....there is a complete failure of Parliament and Canada is crumbling.

Meanwhile the Global Sedition forces see the opportunity to grab a foothold in Northwestern region in hopes to claim dominance of the Arctic region cutting off Alaska and opening up many doors for an all out move into North America.....

In an effort to stop the invasion the Canadian forces have combined with American, and British forces to try and stop this evil crusade

  7. SF2E: The Scandinavian Front
    Operation Isbjörn 1.3 Stand Alone.
    By The Scandinavian Front Team.

Special thanks to gillg and Wrench.

In 1956, diplomatic talks about the Baltic Sea region between Finland, Sweden and the Soviet Union broke down. Angered and afraid of
NATOs influence in Scandinavia, The Soviet Union demands that Finland and Sweden joins the Warsaw pact to ensure the borders of the
Union. Both countries refuse. On October 1th, the Soviet Union deploys forces to force the countries into the pact.

Sweden, Finland and Norway set condition Isbjörn, activating an alliance against Soviet Agression and rallies to defend Scandinavia...

    Installation Instructions:
Simply unzip it all into your mod folder. I would advise you to use a clean installation so there is as little risk as possible
for errors. This mod does not overwrite any original data and can be used alongside any Central Europe themed mod Campaign - in theory.

If you own Strike Figthers 2 Israel, unzip the "Install_if_you_have_SFI_Exp1" file into the mod folder as well, and allow any overwrites.

This can be used as stand alone or to patch earlier versions of Operation Isbjörn.
    Important Notes:
SF2 Europe is a requirement. Preferably, use a fully merged installation.
The Terrain itself is not very combatible with the other games, hence the requirement.

While the DLC 008 Hawker Hunter is not required, its strongly recommended for this campaign.
If you have the A-21R from A-Team Site, This campaign has a squadron that flies it - if installed.

Kindly report any bugs or issues to me by PM or in proper thread.

    1.3 Additions:
    A 32A Lansen (Early)
The Lansen have been reskinned and revamped completly. Feels different, acts different, looks VERY Different ! A must try!

    The Vampire:
J-28B Vampire and the finnish "Vamppi" is now flyable for people without Expansion Pack One. They are not as good looking
as pauls versions, but they are a good substitute for the AI.

Also included are many fixes and twists as well as some bug fixes. Enjoy !

  8. Here's a summary of what this version of OpDarius is

    - two blue campaigns -- one w/ a ground war; one w/o a ground war
    - ground campaign is not a full fledged invasion of Iran, rather border skirmishes (still very fun, esp. in the A-10C)
    - one red campaign w/o a ground campaign
    - new Iranian weapons, incl. AAMs, SAMs and MRBMs
    - new Iranian ground objects, incl. mobile SAM launchers, static SAM launchers, AAA, tanks, APCs, and MRBM launchers
    - two different versions of the F-14 included, one equipped with the Sedjeel missile (based on the Hawk)
    - dozens of new target areas added, incl. SAM sites, MRBM sites, nuclear research sites, and uranium processing/enrichment sites
    - overhauled TYPES.INI to better prioritize targets in campaigns
    - a number of aircraft added incl.the Gripen, Turkish/Greek F-4s and F-16s, the Greek A-7E(H), the new J-7ME, A-10C (w/ the new cockpit), AV-8B Plus, F-35A, F-111C (Late), CF-18_07, & Su-30MKM, A310 MRTT
    - some aircraft removed (F-4E_86, AT-6B, the AlphaJets, excess C-130s & Mirage 2000s, and a few others)
-plenty of other unnecessary cruft removed, incl. gigabytes of unused aircraft skins
    - new menu screens (nothing radical)
    - plenty of fixes to just about every area of the mod to get things updated to SF2 standards and working correctly

The only remaining problem that I know of is the SA-10, which for the life of me I cannot get to launch no matter what I try or what version from whatever mod I use. I've got the damn thing working in WOE, but it doesn't work in SF2.

I did try to preserve as much as possible of the original Op Darius package (incl. basing arrangements for the participating units). So, if someone was really into the first version, they ought to like this version as well.

It's essentially Op Darius, cleaned up, updated, fixed, expanded, and now sporting spiffy new campaigns so that you can play it like a traditional Strike Fighters all-in-one mod.

Note that this version should NOT be installed over the previous version that Wrench released.

    Install in this order:

    OpDarius_Part1
    OpDarius_Part2
    OpDarius_Part3
    OpDarius_Part4

    1. OpDarius - a blue side campaign without a ground war. Primary focus for the campaign is bombing Iranian nuclear and military sites.

    2. OpMarathon - a blue side campaign with a ground war. The only units tasked with CAS missions, though, are the A-10, AH-64D, and AV-8 units, so if want CAS missions you need to select one of those units. The ground war consists of border skirmishes along the Iran/Iraq border, not a full-fledged invasion of Iran.

    3. OpShamshir - a red side campaign without a ground war.

  10. The Catalina Affair
    By The Scandinavian Front Team

"The Catalina affair was an incident on June 13, 1952, when a Swedish military Douglas DC-3A-360 Skytrain flying over the Baltic Sea carrying out signals intelligence gathering operations for the Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment (FRA), disappeared east of the isle of Gotska Sandön.

Three days later, two Swedish military Catalina flying boats searched for the DC-3 north of Estonia. One of the planes was shot down by Soviet warplanes but the crew ditched near the West German freighter Münsterland and were rescued."

As the survivors are flown from Finland with a military escort, the DC-3 wreckage is found by the Swedish Navy. Stalin at once declares the wreckage soviet property as "is filled to the brim with Soviet State Secrets" while Sweden declares their intention to combat any attempt to stop a salvage operation on international waters.

As the Swedish Navy rallies off Gotland to blockade the Baltic Navy ports from the point "Svensksund", the Soviets steam out to meet them....

This modification is based on the fictional event that the Catalina Affair resulted in an armed conflict. It is not a reproduction of actual events.

The TSF Team wish to dedicate this mod to the crew of the DC-3 and Anders Jallai, the man who found them.

    Installation:
If you are using a mod, or plan to use one, TSF will mess around with settings other mods may be using. As such, creating a seperate mod
folder for TSF is a good idea. If you only plan to use TSF, then this step can be bypassed.

Go to your installation folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2). Make a copy of Strike Fighters 2.exe / Strike Fighters 2 Europe.exe depending on what you prefer and got installed. Name the Copy Strike Fighters 2 TSF.exe . Start your new .exe once, then close the game.

Now go to your Mod Folders. For Windows XP/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. Unzip the contents of the 7zip file into the mod folder of your choice. Allow any overwrites.

    Done! Enjoy the game!

    NOTES:

    * The Swedish Navy is larger in the mod then it actually was in the 1950s. This is due to the pacing in the action required it.

    * The Swedish Air Force actually had only one P-51B. For novelty reasons and fun, you can choose what J 26 type to fly. If you choose another squadron, then all P-51s will be D versions.

  11. SF2E: TSF: The Suomenlahti Skirmishes
    By The Scandinavian Front Team

During the summer of 1964, the Finnish Air Force is in the middle of a large buildup. Having been granted possesion of guided missiles and a few Bombers for Maritime Recon duties, the Finnish Air Force is a competent and mobile addition to the Scandinavian Arsenal.

On the first of August, The Soviet Union declared the Finns in voilation of the Paris treaty, limiting the size of their Air Force and decides to patrol the Finnish Skies. The Finns retort that any unauthorized aircraft in Finnish Airspace will be shot down.

The Finns are about to show what they can do with their new MiGs, the loathed Gnat and the venerable Vamppi against five full squadrons of Soviet Aircraft...

    A/N:

The Mod is based around a limited air war between Finland and the Soviet Union. There is no ground conflict, and most of the missions will involve defensive measures taken to ensure Finnish Supremacy over their homeland. If you are a fan of Close Air Support or ground attack, this is probably not the mod for you.

    Installation:

  12. The Scandinavian Front: Operation Mannerheims Shield
    By The Scandinavian Front Team

UPDATE: After you installed this file; install this one:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/12893-sf2e-tsf-mannerheims-shield-viking-total-war-patch/
This makes for a far more enjoyable experience and is highly recommended!!!

    The year is 1966.

Ten years have passed since what is commonly called "The Soviet War" in Sweden and Finland. Many hoped that the end of the war would result in a lasting peace for
Scandinavia. Both Sweden and Finland openly applies for membership in NATO to protect themselves from the horrors of war and a nuclear bomb program is now a
joint-effort between both countries. Despite this, as a gesture of good faith, Soviet sells Finland a number of MiG-21 Figthers and MiG-15 UTI Training aircraft.

In 1965, a report is sent to Moscow by the extremist left of Sweden. It claims a nuclear bomb is less then a year away, a shock to the Union who expected such a
weapon to be at least five years away. During this time, demonstrations - part of the global peace movement - break out in Sweden and Finland. The leaders of both
countries suspect Soviet involvement, and raise funds to the military.

February 1966, a small force under Lauri Törni is arrested at a naval base in Murmansk. Suspected as sabotours and spies, they are tried and sent to prison, while Sweden and Finland denies involvement. A few days later, the prison convoy is ambushed with the guards either dead or suspected captured by the unknown attackers. Törnis team is also missing. Soviet angrily demands the surrender of Törni to their custody or war may be declared.

While Törni in a press conference from Washington DC agrees to surrender himself, it is clear that war cannot be averted. The report about the nuclear bomb is spooking the Soviets to such a degree that they have declared that they will attack. Knowing that the Swedish Air Force is the key to victory for Scandinavia, they make plans to almost entirely bypass Finland and attack Sweden directly by Sea.

NATO Agents, active within the Union catch wind of the plans and send them to Stockholm. They choose the plan Mannerheims Shield as their best hope for survival...

  13. This is based on the stock Northern Sabre campaign, but set in 1975. It stars 4 allied Carriers, The Ark Royal, The Clemenceau, The JFK, and The Forrestal. The campaign will be easier than '79 due to the extra help, but keeping your ships alive is still a challenge.

Plenty of Phantoms to fly including the F-4K, 2 squadrons of F-4J and the 57FIS F-4C (57FIS was actually using SEA camo on their planes).

    You will NEED SF2:V, SF2:NA and DLC F-4K + F-8E(FN)

    Back up your files first!
Merge the contents of into your modfolder.

Alternate loadout for Buccaneer S2D is optional, but will make Naval Stikes more effective.

I tried you use the appropriate planes/squadrons and ships/names/numbers

    Innacuracies include:

A-7E's on the Forrestal are not the correct ones because SF2 does not include decals for VA81 and VA83.

The Super Etendard was not in service in 1975, but I couldn't find a Etendar IV.

French fleet uses stand-ins including Essex Class carrier for the Clem.

Soviet ship names are not all accurate to 1975.

WWIII didn't actually happen in 1975 AFAIK, so just have fun with this!

    By Team TSF

THIS IS THE PATCH VERSION; NOT STAND-ALONE!!!!!!!!!

    Installation:
Unzip in TSF Folder; allow any overwrites.

A minor patch, adding SF2: NA features to The Catalina Affair including Task Forces, naval attacks and so on. Contains updates to existing units as well. Also makes it compatible with Midvintermörker

    Note:
Catalina / S 31 Squadrons is pretty much broken. You can fly Naval Search with it, but no briefing text.

  15. The Scandinavian Front: Operation Mannerheims Shield: Viking Total War
    By The Scandinavian Front Team

This is a rewrite of this campaign:

The project with renewing Mannerheims Shield has become slightly larger then I first anticipated; and I wanted to give you guys my reasons behind this. First of all, I worked for the original Mannerheims Campaign for several months, often awaiting skins or aircraft. At some points, I became stressed to release the campaign, when I was supposed to be thinking to make it good. I say with full honesty that I am ashamed about Campaign in Mannerheims Shield, and that I somewhat wasted the assets I was given.

I do not think it is bad, but a few missions naval battles that was not properly thought out; you guys deserved better; simply put. You deserved my original vision of a great, grand Viking Total War.

Then SF2: NA came out and we got all these new good toys, and I decided to learn how to use them; resulting in the above mentioned patches. So it is time to make the last vision come true. It will not be entirely the same of course, but it will be interesting still.

And here it is. In my full, honest opinion - This is a Viking Total War worthy of the Aircraft and skins my team provided.

  16. Overview:

The Scandinavian Front (TSF) is a expansion pack type mod for Strike Fighters 2: Europe. It focuses on the efforts of the Scandinavian Air Forces to repel Soviet aggression in the Baltic area. Each part of the mod is self-sustaining and covers a different era, but they can also be merged
    Packages released:

    The Catalina Affair (1952)
    Operation Isbjörn (1956)
The Gulf of Finland Skirmishes (1964)
    Operation Mannerheims Sköld (1966)
    Midvintermörker (2012)

This package contains all released packages updated and ready to play.
    You also need Part 1!
    http://combatace.com/files/file/12979-the-scandinavian-front-mega-package-part-1/

    Installation:

First of all, make sure you are using SF2: Europe and that it is patched to the latest version. This is _vital_. Check http://www.thirdwire.com if you are unsure what the latest patch is, but the game should notify you if there is new patches out.

If you are using a mod, or plan to use one, TSF will mess around with settings other mods may be using. As such, creating a seperate mod folder for TSF is a good idea.

For Windows 7/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. For Windows XP Users, it is usually in My Documents.
Unzip the contents of the 7zip files into the mod folder of your choice. Allow any overwrites.

  17. This mod provides you with a batch of colorful, reduced-size counters, devoted to each of the nationalities present during Operation Desert Storm, 1991. Besides having a more attractive map and less confused stacks, you can also find more easily the units you're after. As a rule, the counters with rectangular national flags and brigade/division/corps devices show the ground units, while the counters with roundels concern the air units.

Also, I propose here a improved order of battle concerning the ground units only, that I feel closer to the actual strengths and positions of both belligerents' units at the time of the launching of Operation Desert Sabre – even if still imperfect. Active nations of the Joint Muslim Forces, that were absent in the original version, can now take their part of the job on the Allied right wing.

The disposition of the strategic nodes has been revised as well to include the added positions of ground troops, and also to re-enact at best the actual swift “left-hook” Allied offensive. On first move, Allied mobile units have opportunities to bypass the Iraqi first lines, and stacked units have several possible axes of attack. Through testing, it seems to work quite efficiently, with a quick collapse of the Iraqi right wing during fixing battles against the tougher, denser and deeper left wing in Kuwait.
