Was egressing back to Da Nang and some solitary MiG-21 driver thought he was slicky boy by coming up from behind me. WSO said I had a bogey on my six, so I turn around and loose off one 9X. It misses but I saw it was going for him so I turned back and continued to egress. I got a better visual after my WSO's second call, so I padlocked him and popped him with my remaining 9X. Times like this make you enjoy a beautiful snapshot and makes you want to say "Frakkin MiGs!"

Well it seems the UK government made a U-turn and reactivated the TSR2 project

VF-302 was a Naval Reserve squadron , converted to Tomcats in 1985, first embarked January 1986, and when the war broke out in Europe in November, the "Stallions" were detached to Germany to counter the then uncontested flights of MiG-25RB.

using every drop of fuel really makes the mission worthwhile. A little nerve-wracking on final, though...

 

@FTA, is that photoshopped, or do you have some phycadelic shaders there?

hehe yeah the mission sure was nerv-wracking. For a while i thought i wouldnt make it back. When i was starting to get down on the 100.s i started panicing =P haha

 

only sharpened in photoshop. i use the hdr mod =)

To answer you question...definitely photoshopped. Unfortunately my CPU & graphics card isn't capable of running any high shaders :(

So I do the best with what I got.
