Murphy's law in action.

Our flight of F-8C escorting some Skyraiders got jumped by a flock of Frescos. Wingmen and I line up for a 'winder shot at those who are engaging the bombers. Loud growl - launch. The Fresco of my choice breaks right sharp, AIM-9B decides that A-1's exhaust is hotter and easier to hit. Wingie's Sidewinder finds the Fresco of the top right corner of the picture no fun and goes for A-1 too. Luckily, no one got hurt at that moment.

How hot were those ehxausts from A-1 engines in RL?

Sams are such a PITA..........Especially when they wait until you commit...and then fire.

Makes it that much sweeter when you beat one........Or they lock on someone else

I got a new joystick today, tried out the A-10 and got shot down. Tried out the F-4C and got shot down. Tried out the A-4, missed my target and then augered in on pass 2. Decided to try the hun in that sexy SEA camo.

(sexy SEA Camo)

What can I say? It was love at first bomb pass. CBU on tanks, took out half of them first try. Rolled in for rockets, and things just kept getting better. I know what my first SF2:V campaign is gonna be in...

After seeing screenshots using SF2. I'm embarrassed to continue using the SF-1.

Ah, young grasshopper has much to learn... One must occasionally sacrifice kill footage for a better picture. I decided to get the T-55 that was still operational in the pic, rather then the one I had hit, which is slightly off-screen left... ok.gif

... jus' sayin'...

Swooping Sukhoi

After a one-week family holiday in South-East Ireland (recommended) there's been plenty to come back to but my first flight was in guyran's Su-7BMK 'flyable' mod.

You can't tell your wingman to attack a black bandit (a low on fuel or landing bandit). He always ends with overshooting, without firing a single round...

Taking out tanks... one by one. Still in love.

I also got a MiG-17 this mission, I'll bet he was overcome with grief at being downed by a CBU and fuel-tank laden Hun!

Another CAS with the Hun...

My second CAS victory, but the story doesn't end there...

post-28461-12571243284305.jpg

His wingman hit me a couple times head-on after that first kill, then came back to finish the job. I told my wingie to go home, I had a fuel leak and definetly coudn't make it. To cover his retreat, I took on the second MiG. After an epic dogfight, we ended up in a head-to-head joust....

post-28461-12571247732635.jpg

With my one remaining operational gun, I managed to down him, and he only paralyzed my plane. I got out to sea before I had to eject., but he ended up as a smoking crater.

Love it. Eric, I fly the Ultra all the time, have you ever tried a Euro 1 camo for it? As if it was still operational with guard units circa 1985. :good:
