Was watching "Great Planes" (F-84) on Military channel. Decided to fly that AC since I really enjoy it. Guess it had been a while since I took that sucker around the block. I felt it needed a face lift...So,

Update on Black Sea campaign.

 

Terrain 95% complete. All targetization of cities finished. Choosing new SAM sites for the Caucasus mountain ranges.

 

Plane list is complete and final campaign compilation (unit assignment, etc.) to begin this weekend.

 

Target date for release: 16 Mar 2009

 

Update on Med Sea campaign.

 

Planelist complete. Terrain is 60% finished. Targetization of cities remains. Going to try something different this time for industrial sites.

 

Target date for release: 1st week of June 2009

Black Sea v2.0 has been placed on indefinite hold.

 

It has simply become a nightmare of editing and none of it is doing what I want it to. I am starting over from scratch and even using a modifed WOI tileset. Sick of trying to fix something that refuses to be repaired.

 

Black Sea v2.0 has been pushed back to Summer 09. Med Sea has been moved up in the rotation.

Home of Eskadrille 730 FSN.Skrydstrup First screenie from the Europa terrain I'm working on. It's going to be 30 % larger than a orginalt thought wasnt quite satisfied with the scale. Had to fool TE by creating a new map 3900x3900 km and blow the BMP DEM up in photoshop 30% Working like a charm.

I'm calling it the F-112 for now, that could change of course.

 

Its supposed to be an early 60's cheap export multirole fighter. Think of it as an American version of the Mirage F-1. Goal was to make a quick and easy model that I could drop a prebuilt cockpit into. Haven't decided which cockpit yet, was thinking F-104 or F-8, but those are both rather fighter centric and don't lend much to the bombing role. As for the quick, well I modelled this much in a single night so not bad I think.

I'm doing a 20 year sentance for this crime, no parole.

 

 

CAstary....CELEBES is the coolest island in the world. Very nice steep terrain...Fantastic for a fictional S. Pacific campaign WW2 or maybe late 1950s.....quick strike into the area, China provide the manpower and USSR the air force and ships.

 

 

Kamtchatka also has nice exotic steep terrain. I hope the DBS folks include Kamchatka in their terrain (or is it out yet?).
