These are the Mitsubishi F-6 ZERO II Fighters. The upper one is the F-6M: Interceptor and Air Superiority-Version and the lower one is the F-6B: Multirole and Bomber-Version.

I have been flying in the thirdwire world for around 5 years or so now, and i just witnessed something I hav'nt seen before. After returning home from a succesful mission in my CF-18 I noticed a KC-135 on finals to my airfield. I taxied off the runway and watched as it came in, only to execute a perfect missed approach and go around for another go. Little things like this is what brings me back to these great games. Only managed to catch one pic.

Could've been a flight tasked w/ TRANSPORT. Not sure about Single Missions, but Campaign missions regularly contain these..

Or if you're running the latest May11 patch, it might be something new from TK.

Yep, still a long way to go...

Two version planned so far. In Soulfreaks Screenshot is the early version. This is the today´s Mk 41 with KWS "Kampfwertsteigerung" (combat efficiency upgrade) including SeaSpray Mk3 Radar, SeaSkua missiles, FLIR, AN/ALR 68 and M-130 decoy dispensers.
