The Cat looks good but I think the metal parts like the nozzles and leading edges should have more specular and reflection on them. It's easy to do in max by assigning a new material to those parts.

Agreed. Unfortunately, we are limited to the LODs that were completed before Oli passed.

Oh, it's BPAO's model? I thought it was Flying Toasters.

FT built the main model and then handed it off to Oli for the detail work necessary to get it into Strike Fighters. Including model-specific detail meshes, all of the animations, etc.

I think the F-4 owns the Black Bunny, but nothing can touch the Tomcat in Jolly Rogers colors. It looked so good that way that the Macross/Robotech VF-1 was made to resemble the F-14 and wore those same colors. The F-4 and F/A-18 just don't look right compared to the Tomcat. Anyone who voted to take the F-14D out of service obviously had not seen photos of the F-14 in Jolly Rogers' colors.

The last sentence cracks me up. Too bad the Navy doesn't care about tail art or squadron histories when making decisions about keeping aircraft or units....

I got to admit also that I don't care much about about the skull & crossbones thing anyway, it gets hyped too much for my taste.

Hey Dave, try lowering the gloss value and ramping up reflection a bit on that cat and see how it looks.
