Slartibartfast 153 Posted September 7, 2010 This is the same guy that wants people to stand on his planes and pay to use the bathroom...
+Old Diego 66 Posted September 7, 2010 I will agree to this if he agrees to allowing a computer to become the CEO of Ryanair.
MigBuster 2,884 Posted September 7, 2010 Wow - has he ever been in an Aircraft - or seen one in real life even - I'm guessing he's flying alright and he doesn't need a jet to get that high.

+Erik 1,812 Posted September 8, 2010 Publicity stunt. Next he'll eliminate all non-essential hardware aka the plane. Tickets will now include a one way sling-shot ride to your destination. The upsides include: No worry, no hassle, anytime use bathrooms. ZIP UR-IN. Guaranteed no extra baggage fees. If the ride doesn't kill you that 200 pound suitcase you are carrying will. No long waits at security check points and scanning. Go ahead bring some C4. Got matches? Oh look fireworks! No charge aerobic workout program included. Want more hang-time, flap harder. RyanAir we spare no expense at finding expenses to spare.
serverandenforcer 33 Posted September 8, 2010 Forget the pilots all together... just let the passengers take turns flying the plane.
Gr.Viper 131 Posted September 8, 2010 Why don't they just charter a shepherd and walk people to other airports?
Derk 265 Posted September 8, 2010 Why don't they just charter a shepherd and walk people to other airports? Eliminate the shepherds dogs first, otherwise too expensive. Why not make the stewardesses and stewards part time pilots for the same pay, or let the pilots serve coffee (ersatzcoffee, otherwise too expensive) for the pay od a flight attendant ....... Hou doe, Derk
Gr.Viper 131 Posted September 8, 2010 Derk, you assume they leave a crew. They could eliminate stewards since they deliver stuff during level flight when the plane can fly on autopilot. So the pilots could fetch people coffee right after takeoff. Of course, that would mean that there won't be anyone to read safety instructions but a set of Bible, Koran and a 1000 rpm prayer wheel in the pocket of the seat in front would be the only help for those who dare to fly Ryanair anyway. +Jimbib 747 Posted September 8, 2010 This is simply more hot air wafting from O'Leary. He's done it dozens of times before, and he won't stop doing it. Why you say? Everytime he says something that is deemed unorthodox or tabboo in the world of airline travel, the media screams their heads off until their blue in the face about it.This translates into completely free advertising him. He knows exactly what he's doing, and to be fair, it's working quite well for him so far seeing as Ryanair is the largest low cost airline in Europe, (even beating Queesyjet) and the third largest airline in Europe based on pax numbers alone. The thing to remember with Ryanair is if you can get away with using them as ruthlessly as they operate, i.e. short hop flights, no baggage; quick on and off, then they're great because they're dirt cheap. However this is not the airline you book with if you want a nice, relaxing, trouble free start to a family holiday.
Derk 265 Posted September 8, 2010 For free publicity maybe he can say he's going to get an A380 and operate it as a huge flying adult club...... Hou doe, Derk
+hgbn 91 Posted September 8, 2010 Are you crazy Derk Imagine an A380 for trans Atlantic flights with standing seats only instead... Then even Scrooge McDuck would be green of envy
JediMaster 451 Posted September 8, 2010 Frankly I don't think it will be too long until airlines are run the way railroads are. Then they can all ask for gov't subsidies, too.

Derk 265 Posted September 8, 2010 Are you crazy Derk Not completely Henrik.... Years ago a very big hotel in Chinese style at the A2 motorway went broke. The whole country knew the place. The owner of a very well known plush club in Amsterdam just dropped the suggestion somewhere that he would buy it.. The press got wind of it and there was a MIGHTY uproar - for free - in the papers and on televsion..... The guy never intended to buy the place......... Hou doe, Derk
