30 Dec 1983:

 The last flight of the F-104H "Zipper" in Active USAF service takes place as the F-15A replaces it in service with the 318th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. The Zipper would continue on in service with several Air National Guard squadrons until near the end of the 1980s.
