It all rather poignant when you think how many real WW1 pilots would be ticking the first box, and how many fewer would make it to the 20-30 box.

Such a waste of living years.

Waste of years - yes. But from what I read from Cecil Lewis, they seem to have lived each and every day with full awareness.

When they couldn't know how long their life might last, they made the best of it.

Something we often do not - as if the time we are wasting wouldn't have meant so much for them.

DonL - nice try! Mmuahahahahaaa!!!!

So you must be getting over the shock slowly now, of getting 50?

At least for me, that was quite a hard thought. Now I'm 58 and feeling younger than ever.

You see, there's hope!

(although people are often rather telling me the opposite - Mmuahahahahahahaaa!!!!)

Shucks, Jim, I wish I had known you were having a visit! What did you think of our regional accents? North of the Ohio river, we mostly talk a fairly bland midwestern with some exceptions (occasionally you will hear someone say, "Give me those dirty clothes and I'll warsh them for you"), but just south of the river you start to really hear that southern twang! The twang tends to get stronger the farther south you go. In the upper midwest, you start to hear a fair bit of Canadian mixed in, eh!

I had to LOL at this, here in SW Indiana we warsh the deeshes and say coats instead of Colts  One of our local commercials has a woman that says furture instead of furnature.

Started flying OFF Phase 1 when it was first out and am now 75 years old. Looking forward to WOFF. I now fly my favorite sims on a 3 Dell monitor setup using a triplehead2go adapter and a self built computer.

Member of the 38% seems us late middle agers make up a fair amount of combat sim users. Compared to the really young crowd that flys online in FG I feel ancient sometimes. Happy mostly though. Cheers

Slightly older than my teeth.

Of course, the injections help and

so long as the transfusions are of

your actual blood of a virgin, then

all should be well. Apart from the

shaving, obviously.

Pass the port.

I should have known I was hanging out with a bunch of old farts with your references to hernia belts, PSA levels, and quality of your (sometimes daily) bowel movements. Not to mention your...oh hell...where was I? Oh yeah, I'll be 60 this summer. I'll be celebrating it on my new bike.
