Nesher Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 it doesn't seem that the pilot was going to eject... wonder what happened next Quote
+russouk2004 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Looks like hes steering it away from area to safely eject? and not kill anyone on ground Quote
macelena Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I wouldn´t want to be a guest of the rebels, to be honest Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Steer and fly back toward base as far as possible away from rebel position before ejection I suppose. Fuel loss looks large, but don't know what it should look like. Flame near the end might require ejection over rebels. If this is today or recent, we'll have to look for news of this huh? Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Well, I never thought I would be sad to see a Syrian plane down. Hope he got some bastards before bitting the dust. Quote
+Gepard Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 It seems to be a hit in the right wing tank. The MiG-21 has only 150 liters there, if i remember correctly. If the fuel is vapored the fire will be out and the plane will have a fair chance to come home. During the India vs Pakistan war of 1973 an indian MiG-21 got a similar hit and came home with a hole in size of a football in the wing. Quote
+ghostrider883 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 During the India vs Pakistan war of 1973 an indian MiG-21 got a similar hit and came home with a hole in size of a football in the wing. MiG-21FL C1103 flown by Flt Lt A J Singh of No.45 Sqdn had its port leading edge completely torn open by the AA fire. The aircraft C1103 was so badly damaged that it never flew again for the rest of the war. Quote
+Stratos Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I still think the damage model in SF2 really sucks, once hit you're done no matter what. Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I still think the damage model in SF2 really sucks, once hit you're done no matter what. No, you are not. It was the case back in SF1. In latter SF2, the damage model is better. Far from perfect or good, but better. You can have engine fire, be hit or things like that and go home. It's still sucks to be downed by a single 14mm in a A-10, though. 1 Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Update. Nice video here. This is dated 6 Sept 2014, Syrian 21 dive bombing, inverted then rolling up and dropping bomb, somebody shoots a tracer round past it. I noticed it for the illumination of the low sun on the skin, just like over The StrikeFighters. ~> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KgymToHlvk Worth viewing in full screen. 1 Quote
