Hey guys,

I not often post something regarding my military past, but I can't help it now.
The past 20 years, most Dutch people have looked at Bosnia veterans with disgust and

with the attitude of "I would have done better". An attitude without any knowledge of

missions and mandates we were forced to work with.

Last Saturday was Veterans Day in The Hague in The Netherlands, and for the

first time in ages I felt more proud than ever. Proud to be one of a select few, proud to

be someone who tried to do something good. Proud that my experiences and following

problems made me the person I am now.

Although I still see myself as a discarded tool of a "political correct" spineless government,
I am proud to have worked with all these other people who are veterans too. I am not the type

to join clubs but this is one I am a proud member of. A "veteran's club" with members worldwide.

So, I just liked to share this with you.

Cheers!!!

I just wiped away a tear my friend. You deserve to be treated with respect and I am proud of what you did. I know it was rough and complicated and nobody understands because I was there to. SALUTE! to you and your brothers and sisters who did that job.

I was 10 when all stared, but now after reading a lot about that I'm also proud of what you guys did there, no matter the nationality.

Considering the complete fail of the politics that sent you there and limited and directioned your actions, you did an epic job,

You should be always proud, with all vets. YOU made things when it mattered, regardless how much your hands were held back by others.

:salute:
