Perdón mi Inglés es malo Edited November 1, 2020 by torno 17

Sokol 444 Posted November 1, 2020 wow that makes a fine interceptor (although a very thirsty one). the Ye-152M never got a NATO-designation since it was never thought to be in service. "Flipper" was the name given to the "MiG-23" which was a member of the Ye-150-family, but with 2 jet-engines and without canards. the only prototype was shown in a flypast in Tushino 1961, and so NATO accorded the wrong service name "MiG-23". the true MiG-23 was of course the swing wing fighter of the late 1960ies. cheers Sokol

+Gepard 11,323 Posted November 1, 2020 Ye-152 had different designations from western intel. It was called Su-17, MiG-23, Ye-166 and Ye-266. It got the NATO code "Flipper". There were 3 differnt versions of this plane. Ye-152A as basic design, Ye-152M with improved radar equipment and Ye-152P with canards. The plane we see in the screenshots are Ye-152P. Sokol 444 Posted November 2, 2020 hi, these aircraft used brute force (and advanced materials and techniques). the only one of the series was the Ye-152A, shown in the first picture by Russouk. it seems to have been the only one to come somewhat - if marginally - closer to a series production, hence the NATO-designation "Flipper" for this variant. it would be very very nice to get the Ye-152A too, since imho it looks more elegant with it's twin engines (some people never get enough ;-( cheers sokol 1
+torno 6,139 Posted September 19, 2022 I am fine-tuning this beast, but there is always some data to adjust, I never got a photo of its cockpit, they will have to settle for the mig 21 PF with some panels deleted from the data, here is a new skin and I can not invest anymore time on this project. 12
