+Menrva Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Probably most of you already know of this, but I just discovered this story thanks to a newspaper article. Thought about sharing it with any few other youngsters like me: Pardo's Push: An Incredible Feat of Airmanship (historynet.com) 2
+streakeagle Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 The key is that it happened first in Korea, then got repeated in Vietnam. Both stories are amazing.
RustyKurnass Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 When someone stated that in Vietnam covered any role is true...
bazillius Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Sounds like fantastic. thanks for story. interesting. Hard to believe

Don't forget the absent minded guy who tried to do the same in WW2 with a Corsair to help a Zero, but ended up cutting its tail with the prop. Oopsie. 1
+streakeagle Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Prop aircraft would have to use a different approach. A pair could try to push with wingtips. Or you could come up and try to use the vertical stabilizer to push on the wing... that would probably be the safest possibility.
+GKABS Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Thank you for sharing the story. I enjoyed reading it.
KJakker Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 (edited) Thought I would add this to the thread. Robbie Risner's push. Edited February 4, 2022 by KJakker
