SF2 F-102A (v2k) Skin & Decal Remod Pack 6/19/2021 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) This package contains all new, corrected decals for Veltro2k's F-102A Delta Dagger. This mod package is designed to be applied to MigBuster's Upgraded Version available at the following URL: https://combatace.com/files/file/9446-f-102a-delta-dagger-veltro2k/ Several of the skins have also recieved replacement skin maps, and the changes are documented in the "Notes" below. These adjusted skins remain in bmp format. Repeat: this is upgrading =ONLY= the skins & replacing decals that came in that package. The units are: 57th FIS (62-73) 317th FIS, AkAC (56-69) 176th FIS WI ANG (66-74) 196th FIS CA ANG (65-74) 431st FIS USAFE (58-64) 460th FIS ADC (58-66) 509th FIS SEA Camo (68<) and a NEW skin 509th FIS (>1968) in ADC grey, as used in PACAF & SEA before the application of the 3 tone camo. The years presented in the above, will also be seen in the game's Loading Screen, on the Skin Selection Drop-Down Menu. Most national insignia are still painted on. All serials & buzz numbers are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Each skin has 26 serial numbers. With few exceptions, =ALL= serials are historically correct for EACH squadron. If all could not be found, 'generic' serials and buzz numbers are used. These are identified by the star (*) symbol. If it does NOT have star, it is 100% correct. Any squadrons that are listed in the game's SquadronList.ini have had their displayed name activated via my (patent pending) fake "SqTail.tga", and will be visible on the Loadout Screen. Also, due to many having painted on insignia, a hidden "Insignia" decal is used to activate the displayed Nation Name. The SF2 "date switch" is only used on 2 skins; the oldest (317th) with a '1' start date, and the later (509th camo) with a 1968 start date. Any others, which most of them DO fall in-between these two, End Users (tm) will have to select for themselves. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Happy Landings! TU_160 Blackjack for SF2 series project by UllyB The Tupolev Tu-160, NATO reporting name: Blackjack) is a supersonic, variable-sweep wing heavy strategic bomber designed by the Tupolev Design Bureau in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. It is the largest and heaviest Mach 2+ supersonic military aircraft ever built and second only to the XB-70 Valkyrie in overall length. It is the largest and heaviest combat aircraft, the fastest bomber now in use and the largest and heaviest variable-sweep wing airplane ever flown. Entering service in 1987, the Tu-160 was the last strategic bomber designed for the Soviet Union. As of 2016, the Russian Air Force's Long Range Aviation branch has at least 16 aircraft in service. The Tu-160 active fleet has been undergoing upgrades to electronics systems since the early 2000s. The Tu-160M modernization programme has begun with the first updated aircraft delivered in December 2014. *************************************************************************** *The model has Triple dragchute as in the real aircraft and has one historical skin made . The original flight model was made by Fubar512 but modified by me. It is designed for and works in the SF2 series of games. VERSION NOTES ------------- This package is as close as I could get to representing the F-117A in service with the USAF at the time of Operation Desert Storm. There are some parts which I have compromised the detail on or removed all together in order to achieve an acceptable level of detail without reducing game performance or increasing development time. An example of this is the arrestor hook. The real F-117A has a door that jettisons when the hook is deployed. I have modelled the door to open and close so consequently, the hook is retractable. Animation Key #1 to open/close the refuel door. Animation Key #2 to extend/retract the COMM and NAV antennas. Animation Key #10 to open/close the canopy. Weapon bay doors are automatic on weapon release. Brake chute will only deploy while on the ground, below 100kts and with the airbrake extended. The ejection seat included in this package comes from ravenclaw's ACES II Ejection Seat for A-10 vers. 1.0 so all the credit goes to him. The original package is available for download from: http://combatace.com/files/file/12472-aces-ii-ejection-seat-for-a-10/ INSTALLATION ------------ Very simple, extract the files from the archive to your C:\Users\*NAME*\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 folder. Next, You will need to add the following to your Squadronlist.ini file which should be in your Flight AND Pilot Data folders. This is so the Unit Names show up. (*NOTE* This is not essential). Make sure the XXX is replaced with the next number in sequence in your file: [SquadronXXX] Name=415TFS DisplayName=415th TFS Nightstalkers Nation=USAF The 416th TFS should already be in your Squadronlist.ini, but if not, add the following: [SquadronXXX] Name=416TFS DisplayName=416th TFS Silver Knights Nation=USAF *NOTE* If you do not have a Squadronlist.ini file in your Flight folder you will need to extract it from the MissionData001.CAT file in your Flight folder using the CatPack utility. That's it. You will need Diego's MODUSAF pilot skin for the pilot, or you can use whatever skin you like by editing the F-117A_Data.ini file. REMOVAL ------- Reverse the above steps. CREDITS ------- Aircraft, Cockpit, Skins, Decals and .ini work - Me FM - Fubar512 (with some modifications by me) ACESII Ejection seat - ravenclaw Pilot skin - Old Diego Testing - The ODS team THANKS ------ A MASSIVE thanks to Crusader for all his very useful reference material and support without which this package could not exist! Thanks to all on the forum for their continuing and always useful support. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have had making it. Dels -------------------------------------------------------------

The Mystère IV was an evolutionary development of the Mystère II aircraft. Although bearing an external resemblance to the earlier aircraft, the Mystère IV was in fact a new design with aerodynamic improvements for supersonic flight. The prototype first flew on 28 September 1952, and the aircraft entered service in April 1953. The first 50 Mystere IVA production aircraft were powered by British Rolls-Royce Tay turbojets, while the remainder had the French-built Hispano-Suiza Verdon 350 version of that engine. This plane was "the star" of War of the Stripes over Suez in 1956 France was the main operator of the Mystère IV and at the peak usage operated 6 squadrons. Most of the aircraft were purchased under a United States Offshore Procurement contract and many were returned to US custody after they were retired. In April 1953 the United States government and the United States Air Force placed an order for 223 aircraft to be operated by the French. The new Mystère IVs were used in the 1956 Suez Crisis and continued in use into the 1980s The Mystère IV became Israel's first swept-wing fighter when an order for Mystère IIs was changed to 24 Mystère IVs in 1955, which were delivered from April to June 1956, equipping 101 Squadron. A further 36 were delivered in August 1956, with a final aircraft, equipped for reconnaissance duties, delivered in September 1956. On 29 October 1956, when Israel attacked Egypt in the opening move of what became known as the Suez Crisis, invading the Sinai Peninsula, the Mystères of 101 Squadron were deployed on both air-to-air and ground attack mission. A second squadron, 109 Squadron was equipped with the Mystère IV in December 1956, while 101 Squadron passed its Mystères to 116 Squadron in November 1961. Israel planned to replace the Mystère IV with the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, but 109 and 116 Squadron still operated the French fighter on the outbreak of the Six-Day War. The Mystère was finally retired from Israeli service on 18 March 1971. India procured 104 of aircraft in 1957 and used them extensively in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. The phasing out of the aircraft started soon after the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, though it saw further action in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, it was completely phased out of the Indian Air Force by 1973. This is a big High Res update of my previous and other modders skins and new ones. Plane tweaking. WHAT'S IN: - 43 new skins (IDF 12; 5 IAF; 16 AdA) - historical decalsets - missing antenna added - taxing dance solved - openable autoclosing canopy - pilot CREDITS: - Tk plane - Geary High Rez temps - Ghostrider883 IAF previous skins - Wilco IDF decals - Coupi new antenna TO INSTALL: - all in main mod folder and overwrite OPERATIONS: - key 10 = Canopy open NOTE: I looked for the Hispano Suiza Verdon sound, but no luck.
