Here are the enhancements I've made to the beta in 3ds Max: - New ejection seat. - New pilot model. - New refueling probe. - New towed decoy. - New AoA added to the front landing gear, corresponding with the cockpit AoA. - Included pilot ladder and engine cover, and removed 'remove before flight' tags. - Implemented 2 LODs: 001, 002, 003, and 004. - New BRU-55 dual bomb rack. - New LAU-127 Rail, LAU-115C Rail, LAU-115C+2 Rail, LAU-117 Rail, and LAU-118A Rail. - New fuel tank. - 5 skins for the Super Hornet. - Canopy can be opened with: Shift+9. - Wingfold function: Shift+7. - For air refueling, use: Shift+6. - To deploy the towed decoy: Shift+5.     ---------------- T28 FENNEC ------------------ This is my interpretation of a classic French plane by using YAP's T-28D, which is a courtesy of Andrea "Ralph" Richini, who gently authorized the use by Wrench's request. Let me explain why "T28" and not "T-28." Well, this is the original French designation, without a hyphen. Fennec came after a lovely desert fox. I tried to make it closest to the real thing, but the model does not reflect the real T28, as it has six pylons instead of four. I can live with that. I made "new" weaponry by changing and repainting old items as close as possible to the real ones. The squadrons were the most active ones in the Algerian conflict. The cockpit is new, made by "Oso" Juancho, and polished into a T-28 pit by removing some parts and making some external parts visible. It's not 100% real, but I did my best. Hope you like it! All necessary files are included. Just drop the content of each archive inside their respective ones in your game install. You can freely use it BUT remember to mention the YAP Team, the owner of the whole thing. Thanks to Ralph and Wrench to make it possible! Hats off!!

    SF2 A-1E Skyraider Upgrade Pack for YAP-RW 1/9/2026 What we have here is an upgrade pack for the YAP-RW A-1E "Skyraider" attack aircraft. This full aircraft mod is being released with kind permission from the YAP-RW Team, and I extend special thanks to Andrea "Ralph" Richini for his help, support and approval. This package includes the original 3 skins, with new decals for the 22nd & 602nd skin, some data ini modifications (mostly adding armor), a new engine sound is also included. Be forewarned! You will be adding the new sound to your game/mod folder's Soundlist.ini. Full instructions are in the "To Install" below. All weapons are stock, in-game items. All manual animations (canopies) remain in their stock YAP keystrokes. The 3 skins are: 1st ACS (no changes made to this skin, as it needed AS IS for the Bernie Fisher missions.) 22nd SOS (TS tail code) 602 ACS (TT tail code) All markings are decals, with the 22nd having 20 and 602nd having 24 100% historically accurate serial numbers. As stated above, the 1st ACS has no changes to it's decals. Randomization is TRUE for all, and I hope it won't mess up the Fisher missions. Those of the squadrons used here, and listed in the game's stock Squadron List ini, use my Patent Pending "Fake SqTail" decal to activate their displayed name on the Loadout Screen (ie: all 3 units) If installing this to well, any mod folder including YAP-RW, you'll see on the aircraft selection drop-down menu: A-1E Skyraider (Y) "Y", of course is for YAP, differentiating it from any others (?). Be advised, I did change the folder name and this displayed name. So, it MAY effect things if used in a YAP-RW mods folder. But that's not guaranteed! In a normal SF2:V mods folder, will have no effect . If you HAVE YAP, maybe want to backup your original for Safety's Sake (tm). Or not, if not wanting to edit any msn files that need an existing name; your call!! As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Please read the Notes section for other useless information, and (hopefully) full credits. Please also take note of changes in the Standard Disclaimer in the "Legal BS" section at the bottom.     SF2 A-26B Invader USAF & "Farm Gate" VNAF 12/27/2025 = For SF2, Any and All, But Designed for SF2:V = Modifications to Bobrock's A/B-26B "Invader" (solid gun nose) reproduce those as used by the USAF in post-WW2 (excepting Korea), and into the Farm Gate program in Southeast Asia. This is a stand-alone aircraft mod, with just about everything you'll need. You'll have 2 new skins: USAF = post 1947, NMF "VNAF" = 4400 CCTS "Jungle Jims", NMF <1961 All markings are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE for all. The 'Farm Gate' Invader has the 26 100% historically accurate serial numbers for aircraft used in that Program.. The USAF skin's serials ARE accurate for A-26Bs, but should be considered 'generic' as they represent no specific unit. The "VNAF" skin uses the SF2 date switch, and will be available for use after 1961. The canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0 (zero). Pilot figures, WW2 period bombs are included. If you have the Full 7 Merged (with both Expansion Packs), you can change to the AN-M64 500 pounders for the stock 3W versions. You'll also be adding a new engine sound, and this will need to be added to the Sound list ini, so have that extracted (if you haven't already), and in the /Flight folder in you SF2:V Mods Folder of choice (ie: SF2:V). As seen in the accompanying screen shots, the upper and lower turrets have been removed along with the wing guns, as is historically accurate. Because there are several Invader variants wandering around, I've used unique folders & displayed name to differentiate it from them others. On the Aircraft Selection Drop Down menu, you'll see A-26B Invader (A/B-26B) As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Please read the Notes section for other possibly useless information, and (hopefully) full credits.     This is a 2 part pack, you WILL need both parts for it to work correctly. This is my version of a South East Asia terrain, it has been many years in the making but is still not complete or finished. But considering that my modding years are coming to an end I thought I'd release it anyway. The area north of the DMZ is a real mess target wise as it's an area I've never been interested in, I personally fly CAS/Armed-Recon in the Central Highlands area. This is a 250 meter map with 600+ tiles and TOD's so you need a fairly powerful machine to run it. There's over 450 new ground objects never been released before, all made by myself so any errors there are entirely down to me. Over the years I've got help and advice off dozens of different modders. They have been the inspiration for me to continue this far, so while they are too many to mention we should a remember that without the modding community this sim/game would of died many years ago. This package contains work and ideas from many of the great terrain experts. A great big THANK YOU to everyone I've worked with in the past. If you are new to the SF simming world, please don't bother whining and screaming about all the little oddities you may find that you don't like, just download the tools needed from here at CombatAce and fix them.     Royal Netherlands Air Force Starfighters. This mod offers my personal approach to the KLu (Koninklijke Luchtmacht) F-104 series. It is not intended to replace or compete with previous packs. I recommend testing it before removing any older mods, as you may prefer one over the other. Installation & Requirements: Skill Level: Basic modding skills are required (copy/pasting and managing mod folder structures). Process: Copy and paste the specific folders into your game's directory. Required Files: You must have a "fake pilot" installed and the original Thirdwire F-104 cockpit from the base game. Game Menu: In-game, aircraft are listed with the .KLu. prefix - Koninklijke Luchtmacht Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod. Now mod uses an additional no-fuel tanks loadout. Simply, If you want ot fly with a clean wing, choose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder. I have added some new pilot models; you can switch them easily in data.ini file, if you have such a desire. Although iyt is important to remember that those pilots work well with the provided Lockheed C-2 seat. It was never tested in another configuration. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Paint schemes and decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Netherlands Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc. Historically, the first Dutch starfighters were F-104G AWX versions operated by the 306th squadron, then passed to the 322nd and 323rd squadrons. In 1964, the first fighter-bomber variant was delivered to 311st squadron and a year later to the 312th squadron. In 1963, after transferring the AWX variant into the defence squadrons 306th squadron received its first RF-104G. Those airframes were used until 1974, when all remaining RF-104G were upgraded by removing the internal camera bay and equipping it with a new Orpheus recon pod. In-game you will have: F-104G '64 early fighter bomber variant. F-104G '77 late fighter-bomber variant with ALQ-126 ecm. F-104G AWX air defence fighter variant. RF-104G reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay. RF-104G(O) '74 Orpheus recon variant. RF-104G(O) '77 Orpheus recon variant with ALQ-126 ecm. The fighter-bomber variant is capable of delivering a special weapon. Known as nukes. Even if goverment will deny, they were training with imitation rounds. Anyway, after loading nuke, the M61 gun will be unloaded automatically. The plan was to use extra fuel loaded in gun/ammo bay but KLu did not practice that. But there is extra fuel cell in RF variant. RF-104(G) - were built on old RF airframes, and some were withdrawn from the air defence role F-04G. Over the time IRST window were closed up with a metal sheet. But not on all airframes. But here in-game, all RF-104G have the IRST window closed. I disabled radar in RF variants. It does not look good, I do not like it. But at least there is no radar. In fact, this is just a temporary solution. Cockpit in general is a temporary solution, along with cockpit and avionics files. But for the new cockpit, you will have to wait a little longer. Credits. 3d modeling, mambo jumbo like skins, decals, some effects, ini work, pilots and seats model - yours truly .JH.     SF2 Realistic SA-6 Gainful / 2K12 Kub SAM Pack 1.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This pack features the SA-6 SAM system. It is a mobile low to medium-level air defense system, designed to protect ground forces from air attacks. Following variants are included: 2K12 Kub (SA-6, 1967) - The first Kub version exported to Middle East and other Third World countries. 2K12M1 Kub-M1 (SA-6, 1973) - Upgraded version exported to Warsaw Pact countries. 2K12M3 Kub-M3 (SA-6, 1976) - Final modification exported to Warsaw Pact and some other countries. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New features: - More realistic search/track ranges along with search/track times for StraightFlush radar - Launchers can perform 360 degree rotation and now all battery launchers can point at the target - Corrected missile parameters - Fuze distances were increased and thus a hit is not a guaranteed kill. Also it has impact on the near pass with no detonation situation. With longer fuze distances, missiles will detonate sooner and there will be at least some damage if not a kill - Repainted missile skins - New launch effect and sound - Dramatically improved performance ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Known issues: - Due to game engine limitations mobile SAM batteries can not move with other ground units and thus offensive ground forces will be exposed to enemy air attacks. - Fire control radar can guide only one missile against a single target. Real SA-6 system could guide two missiles against a single target. - Missiles can fly longer at low altitudes as they tend to reach the Missile Duration time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REQUIREMENTS: You must have installed any SF2 title which will feature the stock SA-6 system. I think that SF2, SF2E and SF2I have it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As always open readme.txt first to see installation instructions and credits. It includes the coastal region of the Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and the coastal region of Saudi Arabia. Kuwait and Iraq are NOT included in this terrain, because an other terrain (Desert Storm) is already covering this area. At the moment Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the western part of Iran are ready for action in this terrain. Ground combat you will see on iranian soil, mostly in the Busher area. At the UAE and the eastern part of Iran only airfields are operational, no other targets. This will come with the next update. The tiles of the street network are only placeholders. I'm not satisfied with them. They will also replaced. There are some other issues which still have to be done. Dont forget. Its a beta release at the moment.     Ethiopia, African Horn (1993-2028) Terrain December 13th, 2021 (1st Release) by Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2, Recommended Full-5 Merged I am proud to present a brand new terrain made from scratch! Initially proposed in private by tiopilotos, I later decided to create it in order to offer an accurate playground for different conflicts never recreated in Strike Fighters. The terrain completely covers Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti, and a great portion of Somalia and Yemen. The tileset, based on JSF_Aggie's Desert repaint and Centurion-1's Desert 4 add-on, has been greatly expanded with necessary transition tiles. Expect long and very accurate river courses and all major lakes, the reddish deserts of the Horn of Africa and the green highlands of Ethiopia. Numerous target areas, such as civilian airports and airstrips, have been added in order to expand playability, targets of opportunity and year range. This terrain features a fresh new 250m resolution heightmap (instead of the stock 500m resolution), allowing for greater details and precision in elevation changes; overall it provides the whole terrain with a better look. The terrain spans from April 27, 1993 (the day Eritrea declared independence from Ethiopia) to December 31, 2028. This terrain is adapt for historical scenarios such as the Eritrean–Ethiopian War and for territorial disputes between Eritrea, Yemen and Djibouti. Somaliland is still considered as Somalia since Somaliland is not officially recognized, though you can spot the Somaliland flag over some of its cities. Targets reflect Real World events as accurately as possible; for instance, some airfields will appear at a given date, cities change their name at a specific year and so on, all according to Real World changes. Off Map Airbases have been added and long range AI flights can be generated from them. Having SF2NA is a must, as I have enabled naval ops; if your mod folder contains American, British and French aircraft carriers, sometimes you'll see fleets being generated in single missions. Ground Objects are not included. You can obtain the most needed ones from Wrench's old Eritrea/Ethiopia terrain release. >Credits (in no particular order): -Wrench, for working on Wingwiner's original Eritrea terrain, producing new target area layouts. -swambast, who provided me with invaluable help in tracking and fixing common and uncommon bugs. -gerwin, whose TFDtool has proved to be essential in today's terrain making.     Afghanistan Terrain version 1.0 ======================== I. The word before: AFGHANISTAN Terrain IS MADE FOR WINGS OVER ISRAEL (WOI) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it runs with SFP1,WOV and WOE too, but then it does not include all features! *************************************** II. History: From December 1979 till now Afghanistan is a land in war. Soviets, Dushmans, Mudjahedin, Warlords, Taliban and Americans (OEF) destroyed the once florish land nearly completly. This terrain is dedicated to all man who fought in this country and to all who lost their lives in a senseless war. ***************************************** III. The terrain: Afghanistan terrain is now complete. It covers the areas around Kabul, Bagram, Jalalabad, Kunduz, Mazar i Sharif, Kandahar, Herat and Shindand. In comparision with Beta 0.75 i have again retiled some areas to include rivers and to make corrections. New target areas are set, especially around Herat and Shindand. I also included the airbase Shindand. It was the fisrt operational Su-25 base during soviet Afganistan war You can fly and fight along the Jala Road and surrounding mountains, the Kandahar region and in the north eastern part of Afghanistan where today the German ISAF sector is situated. You will find enemy positions in the hills and valleys north of Bagram, but also single bandit troops on the soviet/allied hold lowlands. You will find friendly and enemy fortified hill positions - number of set target areas: -215 - Missions which can be flown are CAS, Armed Recon, Recon, Strike,SEAD -Air to air missions are impossible, because no taliban airfield is set (as historical correct) -I recommend a seperate installation of WOI for Afghanistan terrain. The new nations.ini would otherwise make trouble with other terrains. (I set all nations = friendly, only Afghanistan= Enemy So you can fly for the Soviets and the OEF troops( USA,UK,NL etc) against the same Enemy) You can delete not needed planes (for instance Mirages) and groundobjects (SAM, Radar,most tanks etc) and you can include needed planes, like the Mi-24 or the A-10 more easily. -Panzers, like T-54,55,62 etc should be redesignated from TANK to ARTILLERY in their groundobjects data.ini. The reason is, that Panzers are widely useless in such a mountainous land. With the groundobjects i have included in this package you will have infantry engagements which are more Afghan style - Capun withdraw his permission to use his Mi-24D.lod and Mi-8T-Dest.lod file which were included in the Beta 0.6. Thatswhy you must download this files from Capuns site http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ -IF you NOT HAVE WOI, you can use this terrain with SFP1,WOV or WOE too, but you must download the Afghanistan tileset from CombatAce download section. Some groundobjects, related with WOI will with other games not appear. ******************************************* IV. INSTALLATION: -Unzip the file into your Wings over Israel Thats it!     This is a modification (that was okay'd by Gepard) that adds more targets to his version 1.0 of the Afghanistan map. Right now it is technically a "beta" but it adds a few more targets, CAS areas to the map. Along the days I'll add more here and there, but is considered to be a seperate mod to his terrain. README: Simply extract and put it in the Afghanistan terrain folder, and allow overwrite. Original work done by Gepard. If you have suggestions or locations you may have added, please don't hesitate in contacting me. 1.5 Notes: - With thanks to Gepard, Bagram has been upgraded to a LARGE airbase, allowing B-1s, B-52s or other bombers to take off. Remember that to takeoff without crashing, take off from the eastern side of the runway. - Modern CAS designations. If you want to use more historic designations, scroll to the bottom of the _targets file and name away. - More targets in more places, be prepared to fly to the interior.     McDonnell F-101B Voodoo v1.1 McDonnell had built 480 F-101Bs, the two-seat, all-weather interceptor used by the Air Defense Command from 1969 to 1972. Surviving USAF aircraft were transferred to the ANG where they served until 1982. The J 35As were delivered between 1959-1961. The tail section was lengthened after the 66th aircraft to house a new afterburner for additional thrust. This forced the installation of a retractable tail-wheel. The two versions were nicknamed Adam kort (Adam short) and Adam lang (Adam long). J 35B Fighter version, built and delivered between 1962–1963, total production: 73. This variant had improved radar and gun sights, and was also fully integrated into the Swedish STRIL 60 system; a combat guidance and air surveillance system. J 35D Fighter version, delivered between 1963-1964, total production: 120. The aircraft had a new and more powerful Rolls-Royce Avon 300 (RM 6C), which could deliver 77.3 kN thrust when using its afterburner. This was also the fastest Draken version, and capable of accelerating until out of fuel. It was also the last Draken to carry two cannon. J 35F Fighter version, delivered between 1965 and 1972, total production: 230. This variant had improved electronics and avionics, e.g. integrated radar, aim and missile systems. The aircraft's main armament where IR and SARH versions of the Hughes Falcon missile originally intended for the J 35D , but one of the cannon was removed to give space for more avionics. The J 35F2 was a J 35F, produced with a Hughes Aircraft Company N71 infra red sensor, a so-called IR seeker. This was a change in the production line from the no 35501 airframe. J 35J In 1985 the Swedish government decided to modify 54 J 35F2's to J 35J standard. In 1987 12 more modifications where ordered. Between 1987 and 1991, the aircraft were given a longer lifespan, more modern electronics, a modernized cannon, an additional 2 sidewinder pylons under the air intakes and increased fuel capacity. The final operative J 35J flew for the last time in 1999. Saab 35BS Used J 35Bs sold to Finland. Saab 35FS Used J 35Fs sold to Finland. Saab 35OE In the mid 1980s, Saab purchased back 24 J 35D aircraft from the Swedish Air Force and converted them into the J 35O version (also called J 35OE in English literature). These were later exported to Austria.

    Upgrade for America NorthWest Terrains: 4 Seasons Inclusive Build -for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI and maybe FE? The original America Northwest Terrains; AmerianNW, AmericanNWinter and AmericaNWSpring, were released sometime back in 2003. They are exceedling FUN maps to fly on, as they are full of deep canyons and high mountain ranges. But...with the advent of the 9/08 patch for the entire 3rd Wire series, they can now be combined into ONE terrain, and with a few ini edits, allow for =ALL= 4 season to be present in ONE terrain folder. Seasonal changes are based upon the date a mission is flown, in single mission (month/day - year makes no difference), and probably in campaigns as well This package includes ALL 4 seasons for Major Lee's "America NorthWest" series, combined.This package is designed to TOTALLY REPLACE =ALL= the original terrains, with one single install. Editing has been done to the all the inis, as per the latest patch standards. Included are also my targets and movements enhancements, as seen in a 8/07 upgrade, with some additions. Included are the "Spring", "Summer" (by CA_Stary), "Thaw" (by Doghouse & Deuces), and "Winter" seasons as new subfolders of this rebuilt terrain. A new 'EnvrionmentalSystem.ini', that is terrain specific, was created that raises the cloud deck OFF the mountains. It's also super easy to edit, to allow for lower clouds, if that is your wish. You'll also find regional specific trees (pine) scattered across the landscape. It looks sooo much better with trees!!! :) For those looking for it, YES, there are more than a couple of Easter Eggs, as you've all come to expect. While set in the "What If.." world of the Global Sedition vs the North American Alliance, it's quite usable for just about anything. =EXCEPTING= no anti-ship missions, as there's no large bodies of water for shipping routes. (see my pleas for retiling in the "General Notes and Other Nonsense" section below) The movements ini has been expanded for more Armed Recon missions, with additional truck routes for both sides. Additonal targets have been added (one new city, airport and train stations for each side), and new Ground Attack routes for CAS missions. I added an oil field to the Alliance side, to give the Sedition forces something extra to bomb, and Alliance forces something to protect. I figure the story line would be "short on resources, the Global Sedititon is trying to capture the Salmon River Oil Fields and Elk Mountains Uranium Mines for their own". New country flags have been added (the 2 GS and Alliance flags are still here!) for NAA alllies - USA and Canada. This has been tested in WoE (my main Laboratory of choice..) As it was originally built for SF, no worries there. WoV should also be no problem. It -should- work in WoI and First Eagles, but you'll still need one of the Original 3 Terrains ™ for the terrain cat reacharound. This, however, has =NOT= been tested. You use it in these games at your own risk. Vista users should also have no problem with terrain effects, as the latest round of patching has apparently cleared up that problem. And the fact that there's no water on this map..... Included as well is FastCargo's SON-9A "FireCan" AA control radar, and some ini updates for a few of the stock "Red" AAA units, networking them to the FireCan. PLEASE read this entire ReadMe all the way through before installing; there are some issues I've encountered that need some explaining, and this will give you a better understanding of what I've tried to accomplish.
