One of the greatest sci-fi strategy games of all time returns Spring 2016 with remastered visuals, online multiplayer, and near unlimited mod content from Steam Workshop. Enter an alternate vision of the 1960s where the “space race” is nothing more than a cover for an interplanetary war between the US and Soviet Russia over mysterious alien bio-metal. Take command of an army of sleek heavy assault tanks, strike cruisers, APCs and more, and wreak havoc with super-heated projectiles in your mission to blast your enemy. Scavenge the battlefields for crucial bio-metal, deploy powerful defenses, construct advanced facilities and escalate each battle to an epic confrontation. Revolutionary, revitalised and remastered, Battlezone 98 Redux’s blend of thrilling first person action and tense RTS gameplay is as essential now as it ever was. FEATURESCritically Acclaimed RTS: Command the battlefield and fight vehicle-to-vehicle from the immersive first person cockpit view. Unleash mechanized devastation with a huge tactical arsenal including Howitzers, MAG Cannons, Cold Fusion Lasers, Day Wrecker Artillery, and more. Customise and fortify your bases from the ground-up with production factories, power plants, barracks, armouries, command towers and deadly defensive turrets. Two Explosive Campaigns: Play as American or Soviet forces in two separate singleplayer campaigns, with 29 missions across 7 different planetary environments. Sleek Remastered Visuals: Play Battlezone 98 as it should have been, in HD with completely remodelled vehicles and buildings, enhanced lighting and shadows, improved particle effects, upgraded animations, upscaled terrain, and more. Online Multiplayer for 2-8 players: Experience the classic rush of "Deathmatch", or test your skills in a pulse-pounding battle of wits in "Strategy" mode. Steam Workshop Mods: Tap into a community nearly two decades in the making, and enjoy near limitless new content with support for mods, such as new singleplayer and multiplayer maps, new vehicles, new HUDs, custom scripts and much more. Map Editor: Not a modder yet? Create your own custom multiplayer arenas with the in-built map editing tool. Buy it here http://store.steampowered.com/app/301650/

In short: The reason why SF2 lacks multiplayer is because the Microsoft Service TK used for the Multiplayer (cheapskate...) was removed from later versions of Windows due to the evolution of broadband and non-dialup solutions. Remember, SF2 MP was pretty much 1990s stuff with no lobbies and only LAN working reasonably well. Most of the stuff that make it work is in there but the entire connection service is gone because it was never part of the game to begin with.

RulesOfEngagement=TRUE is present in SF2 Vietnam for US. I am going to activate it a TSF Campaign and we shall see if it does what we think it does. Update: After a short testing in a TSF Campaign, I can confirm that it seems like they close to visual range BEFORE they engage. The MiGs was pretty much on top of our Gripens before they even activated their Radars and they did not shoot us from afar. It needs a bit more testing but I can with confidence say that the command most likely force a close to visual range.

How can i unlock certain achievement for pissing off certain guy?
JonathanRL replied to FLOGGER23's topic in The Pub
We are soon going to need a new one for "Got falsely accused by Capun" when TSF 2 hits the web ;-) If I do not get a mail from him trying to claim the Viggen as his despite it all being Ravenclaws & Angels work, I would be very suprised indeed. -

Angel has done some terrific work with the SK 60, Swedish Light Attack Aircraft. Here is the latest progress. -
I can sure has hell complain about it if he at first UNLOCKS it. It is not like its vital stuff like LODs or Airplanes. It was mission types and the ability to have naval task forces. Its not a big deal for him - but for us modders it is. Since you DO mention TSF - Anybody who does not have SF2: NA is because of this going to have a subpar experience since the unique and interesting Swedish ASMs cannot be used as they are supposed to.

Campaign Scripts like Crusie Missile attacks and ship task forces was in a patch unlocked for all players of SF2 regardless if they owned NA or not. Another patch locked this so it required NA. I need to do a recent test of this of course but last time I checked, you needed SF2: NA to have naval task forces and missions supporting them in the game and this was not the case right after SF2: NA released its first patch.

Expansion Pack 2 will be the definitive version of TSF 2 and replace all other versions in a single download. Please note that the trailer in some cases show works in progress that may not be representative of the final version. FEATURES: - Over 40 flyable aircraft from the World War Workhorses to the top modern Gripen and Hornet Fighters - all with their real world loadout options. - 10 Campaigns - Fly the Nordic Aircraft from 1950 to 2014 in battle against the Soviet Union and their allies. - Updated Terrain Tiles, Weapons and Menu Screens. - Optimized code; unused and outdated assets removed. Thanks to Angelp, Ravenclaw, Stary, Veltro2k and Paulopanz who have all contributed immensely to this project and without whom this would never be as good as it is today.

I have also thought about this idea, mainly because TSF have a fanbase outside the forums who I feel bad have to pay 25$ for a clearly outdated game If I was TK, i would have put the games up on Steam long time ago with a price of 10 or 15$ with links to the best mods at CA. I think that would make it compete better. Right now, its either SF2 or a DCS Module and many will choose a DCS module if that is the choice.

I would love to buy it, paint it in Swedish Air Force F 8 Colours and put it up as a Gate Guard near the old F 8 Barkarby as a protest action for the removal of the hobby airfield at the old area. Sadly, I do not have the infinite funds to do so.

Considering one of my side hobbies made me a Ubisoft Fan Rep, I get it for free. I was somewhat into the Beta but not the MP Portion of it. Hope the Single Player parts pays off...
