Benson-Livermore Classes MDAP Destroyers (*)

fantastic models! If I may request, would like rising sun carriers converted to SF2NA. Since RS is payware, just don't include the relevant LOD's...- 1 reply

another terrain ini question: experiencing some frustration as the only way the sun shines in my sim is if I select "night". does anyone know what controls these settings?
-
As Homer would say "D'oh!!" looked in the main ini and there the offending line of code was - thanks guys!

I have an issue with using certain SF1 terrains in SF2 that everything works perfectly except for the sky... for some reason I have this crazy issue where the sky alternates between solid gray and solid bright blue (depending on whether I am looking above or below the horizon).. with no sun, cloud textures, or anything else. Is there some sort of data ini issue I need to adjust in the terrain?

just curious, how do I switch on the radar? toggle does nothing now...

FSX screenshot: Here is the F-102 arnament panel configuration "fangs out", with launcher extended light lit , with trapeze extended. Note: round selector switch is not enabled in FSX.
-
SupGen the weapons panel actually works in the FSX version of the product but is not nearly as animated here... also opening the bottom doors toggles the sight, which didn't happen in FSX. It seems far more effort was put into the FSX version..

the "pit" is a work of art! definitely nothing "beta" about that! :clapping:

five stars! really adds to the sim, esp. Nato Fighters add-on. Hindi-English, as spoken in India, would also be most welcome!
-
I don't know about anyone else, but if you put all this PTO stuff together, then set both the aircraft and air defense to heavy, the air battles are a freakin' blast! Never had so much fun playing SF2... something about the slower speed of the prop planes makes it far more interesting than normal...

Something is MIGHTY FAMILIAR at the National Air & Space Musuem

well trust me Eric with the full motion it seemed like a whole new game. If I combined this with Track IR it would border on spectacular - especially using all the eye candy in the modded installs. -
If you've been to WASH DC and seen the Smithsonian's A&S recently, you may know they have a pay full-motion simulator arcade on the first floor. Those little machines were fun as they did barrel rolls as well as pitch and roll, you can imagine my surprise when I strapped in, grabbed the stick, and waited for the screen to appear... Well Hello TK!!! the Screen for SF2V in the base configuration appeared with the familiar F-4 cockpit... When the game had finished, I had defeated most of the fighters but had a brand new sensation - motion sickness! It was incredibly cool though, wonder how much those machines cost?

good addition! I found the following on the Venticinco: After hostilities broke out on 1 May 1982, the Argentine carrier attempted to launch a wave of A-4Q Skyhawk jets against the Royal Navy Task Force after her S-2 Trackers detected the British fleet. However, what would have been the first battle between aircraft carriers since World War II did not take place, as poor winds prevented the heavily-loaded jets from being launched. After the British nuclear-powered submarine HMS Conqueror sank the General Belgrano, the Veinticinco de Mayo returned to port for safety. Spartan never tracked down the carrier This carrier was deployed north of the Falklands to Intercept the British Task force. Had it been a windy day history may have turned out much differently! Good "what if" scenario for Falklands/Malvinas mod.

Happens to me too! all these troubles after the April 12 patch was applied AND rumours are flying about TK dissing modding community...hmmmm...

actually the sounds are not that far off the mark - the system in the EF-111 generated those types of "synthetic" tones in the raven's ears, whereas the vietnam aircraft had the raw threat audio. Would be good for any sim representing early 1980's era onward. In case you're wondering I'm a former E.W.
