I want to eventually fly missions but I am too distracted flying over the beautiful new Sweden terrain!
  1. general question here, Is there a way to convert SFNA ships to work (show up) in non-NA installs ... say by tweaking the data.ini for example? Love everything about NA but the strike missions and how the sim prioritizes battle groups, and I'm trying to mold a sim to my liking... bubu
  2. I used to walk over to this museum from the classroom building during my bomber CCTS in the late 1980's (was it really that long ago?), the museum store was a great place to have a quick lunch 2 aircraft in the museum are on my SF2 wish list, the Avro "Canuck" and the WB-50 wx recon acft.
  3. NICE!!! nothing like a busy battlefield!
  4. Is there a way to build a campaign with a moving Forward Line of Troops that advances day by day or week by week, as in the regime change operation in Iraq (2003). The battle lines denoting red and blue forces would shift depending on the date...?
  5. Excellent terrain! May I suggest that you also now have a base to recreate the March 2003 invasion of Iraq (simply changing Iraq to the enemy and creating some of Saddam's Imperial palaces we can bomb)
  6. just a suggestion - for us non-terrain modders it may be helpful to make a version of this where the object names are the same as stock object names, so that they will replace the stock objects without changing the overall layout... who knows it may solve my mysterious flashing roof problem on the buildings..
  7. ahh that's it! thank you...
  8. confused by the text above, is that replacement text for the data.ini, or something more encompassing like the flightcontrol.ini in the flight folder?
  9. the "three fingers of death" (as Israeli pilots referred to them in the 1970's wars) have never been done so well!
  10. excellent add! searching for indian-accented english, both the speech clips and background "wav" files if anyone has them as well...
  11. has anyone else run into "glimmering buildings" - only seems to happen on this terrain
  12. Live on the edge... I can't resist. classifying as mobile AAA. Live hard or don't live at all...LOL
  13. beautiful pit! I have stick time in the real one (T-37). I changed the jet sound to what was in the P-80/T-33 as that is much closer to the actual sound (hence the name "tweet"...)
  14. oh wow... view is so pretty out the window I keep getting distracted...
  15. Great download! I used Part A&B to selectively fill some holes from DAT's install (missing acft, sounds, etc.) and now the blended product kicks butt!
  16. Instrument needles/movement of needles not showing up. just images of the back dials. not sure what is going on...
  17. I used this but aliased the TW cockpit from the expansion pack - just about perfect! Those new Nape rockets are cool for CAS - just don't be too close when you cook them off or they'll cook you too (LOL)!!
  18. he's right- if you download the acft it's contains R1b lod files...
  19. love the Israeli Hebrew speed-taped over the French labels. Nice touch...
  20. This site from the USAF museum is outstanding for these panoramic cockpit views... thought it may help. Would love a realistic B-29 pit! http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/VirtualTour/Cockpit360.aspx
  21. the TSF packs are my favorite - request you upload Swedish-language speech pack and list (LST) files denoting typical callsigns and military ranks to make this seem even more authentic
  22. "Select All" loose files and copy into each terrrain to be modified, allowing overwrite...

    SF2_Russian_Su-34_Grey

one of the great CA mysteries... where the heck is the SU-34 aircraft?
  24. requesting a B-50/RB-50 package when you can get to it. Essentially a B-29 fuselage with KC-97 engines and a taller tail. They served about the same time as the KC-97.
