I have an "older rig" and after installing, it loads to 80% and freezes. So unfortunately I can't enjoy it, but love seeing the screenies of other users who are. Looks ABSOLUTELY amazing!

Thanks for this info! I just recently got back into IL-2 1946 and flying missions with the Ki-43 and I couldn't see through the gunsight. Still shot down 1 Hurricane and 2 Blenheims. Not too bad for "pray and spray" tactics.

I remember watching Dogfights Season 1 or 2 and they had the 2 seat F-105F that had kills flown by Capt. Leo Thorsness who bagged a couple of MiG-17s in a Wagon Wheel (Medal of Honor Mission). I also remember reading in Osprey's F-105 Thunderchief Units of the Vietnam War about the exploits of the Thud pilots when going against the NVAF. They didn't talk too much about the tactics used. So I'm just surprised I pulled it off, and came out unscathed. I mean that MiG was just about to do the square turn that it is notorious for and that the game engine replicates so well! Great info! Thanks! I need to read up and study that!

No pictures but I surprised myself by splashing a MiG while flyng an F-105D, clean config after bombing mission. I had the height advantage, came down in a dive from about 10,000 feet at near 90 degrees and a left hand bank, speed between 600 and 580 knots. The MiG 17 was low and in a climb left hand climb trying to break into my flight path. I looked through the pipper and I know I lead him too much and I basically did a "pray and squeeze" putting in a 3 to 5 second burst of 20 mike mike which he miraculously flew right into. Tore his left wing off. I leveled out about 1,500 feet AGL and high tailed it out of there. Still surprised that I bagged a MiG-17 in a dive in a 105! Got me wondering in real life, would that even be possible?

I always wanted a 2-seat Hun...they are pretty awesome aircraft especially with the wild weasel role.

I've tried the same thing...but it didn't work. The last time I tried it, I just got the reticule gun-sight or pipper to show up in the cockpit view.
