Erik was supposed to take off to go fishing (really!!), so I don't think he's going to be around for a few days. And I don't have the admin rights to fiddle with such things. 2 completely different birds -- the 3rd Wire one is from SFP1, way back from the beginning! The YAP one has totally different mapping and the LOD itself has very different; has all the little "do-dads" TK's doesn't.

Isn't that part of YAP??? I seem to remember Diego using it in there. With YAP being free now, it's readily available. IIRC, they call it an "O-1E", but it should be the one

Originally, the plan was (in 2019!!!) to try and salvage RussoUK's Lightning Fmk6. However, it turns out it NOT a mk 6, and has too many issues (HUGE shadow ropes) to continue (Yes, another found in the archives) So -- use the stock RAFGray skin with what decals I could salvage, plus new code letters, LV fin flash, etc. BUT --- the images I'm using show the birds in overall Barley Grey (which TK's ain't). So, 2 things -- I don't suppose anyone has the template for the stock 3W Lightning? and Does anyone know of a site with 'by squadron assigned' for RAF serial numbers?? I been looking, but can find anything. At worst, as seen below, just use 26 of the stock 3W serials, and this skin

Ok then ... after downloading and inspecting it ...that's a unauthorized copy of The Mirage Factory's Mig-29C. To prove that, all one of experience has to do is look at the LOD names, and the texture mapping. I'm no going to screw around with it -- just leave where it sits. It will most certaintly need MAJOR reworking to get the up to speed of SF2. So, enjoy!!

I'd heard a rumor that the export versions weren't as capable as those kept at home. We know some aircraft were downgraded for export (Mig-23s come to mind)

That's been a a problem with the series since it was first released. It's EXCEPTIONALLY biased to The West. OTH, Eastern forces SAMs and AAA seem a LOT better than their Western counterparts, especially when the ability to network them to search/track/fire control radars appeared. One of the major points is that we were NEVER supposed to be able to play Eastern/WarPac aircraft. That's why have inferior charastaristics (sp?) There's been many an attempt over the last 20 years to fix this, with varying results.
