Yes, Indeed! This is why we have the Screenshots Forum nice pics though!

I believe Gepard may be right; you STILL need the WeaponsData.ini and WeaponsData.dat files WITHIN the /Weapons folder, AND you'll still need to use the 3W Weapons Editor to add the new weapons, even though you can just toss the folders in the main /Weapons folder. There IS a tutorial on how to do this in Knowledge Base. Here's a link to the whole sub-Forum https://combatace.com/forums/forum/366-adding-weapons/

Interesting ... be good to find out which!! That skin looks REALLY good!!
-
IIRC, 1stGens (SFP1, WoE, WoI, WoV) didn't use the 'plug and play' dropping in of folders. Originally. I haven't played them on forever, BUT I do have a WoE on this machine (but it don't like running in Win 11) I !!THINK!!! that with the 08 patch you CAN, so my reccomendation is to either create a /Weapons folder within the Object folder --- see image below -- and see if it works. If it don't, time to evolve to SF2

IF an SF3 were to magically appear, and it was locked for mods; he'd just be cutting his own throat. Like Flanker, the survival is it's openness to modding What is happening, as posted above, is just some kind of technical glitch (at least the hatch didn't blow). In other thoughts, seeing those screenies from the mobile game, if that Entendard ever got release as an SF DLC, I wonder how it would be?
-
the only reason WoE on the stream is that it's not published by TK, but from the original distrubution company. Odd that SF1 isn't there either

How to stop aircraft from "migrating" between games
Wrench replied to cperleberg's topic in General Discussion
It's how the games are built since Day 1 -- you'll ALWAYS have access to ALL aircraft from ALL the SF2 exes. Hence, the term "merged installs" (this IS covered in the Knowledge Base, by the way). you can easily delete the offending aircraft folders from the /Objects/Aircraft from the SF2:Europe mod folder. With a little bit of luck, they won't repopulate. Also, making sure whichever map you're flying on has a "Limited Nations = TRUE" and a list of said nations. GermanyCE already has that, as does VietnamSEA. Or you can do what most people do, just ignore them -
doppy me .. forgot the coordinates .. (you might need to change the path when you've got all the other decals done) [Decal009] MeshName=fuselage_front DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=F-100C/KsANG Position=4.50,-0.45 Rotation=0.0 Scale=3.75 DecalMaxLOD=3 same for the left side. good thing about this is, it's a One Piece decal, and open one more that can be added to Fuselage_front if you need to put the squadron patch on.

whoops -- forget to add the tga. If you can use it, cool. If not, it's cool too! Painted in the correct Insignia Blue. The opacity is 90% to test it, I just used the stock skin and decals. KsANG.7z

What you need to find is a good, fairly large side view of the swoosh. From that , it's pretty easy to make a decal from it the nose decal is easy -- knocked that in 2 minutes!

thought I'd seen a listing for the Kansas ANG Huns... the 127th IS listed in the squadron list ini. Those are stock decals, it's just missing the nose markings and the fuselage swoosh. This should save you some decal making time The same decals are used on the F-100C (no suffix) and the F-100C_65

Have you check at "Forgotten Jets"? https://forgottenjets.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/index.html or Joe Baugher's Page (he passed a few years ago, but Thank the Maker the pages are still there). You'll have to go with approx years the birds were made... https://www.aircraftinformation.info/JB_AIF/index.htm

The rest of us make mods.

It's actually pretty easy ... in the textureset ini, you add this line as below --> (f-104c used as example) So, for the first NMF ANG skin would read StartDefaultDate=1961 For the 2nd skin, StartDefaultDate=1966 (I gave it a little extra, you can still put 1965 there if you want) and so on for the others. Try to avoid overlaps, if possible (ie: whole years as I've never tested calling a specific date) Mind you, the only major drawback is, those skins with official dates WILL take precedent over any stock ones without. So, they automatically are the 1st available on the drop-down list.

Looking good! Have (and had) a lot of relatives in Kansas, mostly Topeka. I assume you'll be using the 'sf2 date switch' for the year changes? I'm sure I've seen a Hun skin with the wrap-around nose colors ... just can't remember where.

yes, it was in the General Discussion, iirc. The thing being, discussions should happen only in the main forums. The KB is, and always was, a repository of Answers (tm) So, yes, removing the ability of non Staff to post in KB is a good idea. That way, we have better control of what important information gets locked in place. Real Answers, for mainstream users etc.
