SF2 Grumman C-2A(R) Greyhound Pack by Coyote Aerospace 4/19/2023 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 5 Merged Required*) This pack is the release of the C-2A Greyhound cargo/carrier-on-board delivery (COD) aircraft used by the US Navy. This mod represent the "C-2A(R) or "Reprocured" airframes as used from 1984 onwards. These are the 8-bladed prop versions. *This mod makes use of the stock 3W E-2C Hawkeye's destroyed model. SF2:NA is required to gain access to that lod. If you don't have NA, you may have to edit the data ini to use another destroyed model.* The aircraft is finished in standard USN Gull Grey/White. Serial number (BuNums) are 100% historly correct for this model, but should be considered generic in nature. 16 BuNums are provided, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. The templates for the skin are also supplied for other texture artists to use, and improve upon. Skins supplied in this package are: VRC-30 - original - 2009 scheme - 2015 scheme (various Dets) VRC-40 - 1999 scheme - 2015 scheme - 2018 scheme There are also some 'cargo pallets' as weapons, for loading in the cargo bay. (thanks to Cliff7600) As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! I'd also like to take this time to thank Cliff7600 for volunteering to fix some (most) of the issues I couldn't. He also supplies some very nice new skins!! *** Be advised, this model is being released in "As-Is" condition. As the model builder has retired, any issues not fixable via ini edits will remain as we have no access to the 3d MAX files *** Wrench Kevin Stein =edited for release 3/20/2023==
  2. GREAT site!!! Been using them for YEARS!!! One of the best to run down individual serials for aircraft, and to which squadron it served in
  3. while looking for some other pictures on the HD, I came across this. Don't know if you can use, but, here it is! model kit decals for some P-51D/K ANG unit or something
  4. unfortunately, each 3-plane flight in the squadron has it's own color band, so must be Level-2 decals. Not biggie; Wildcats only wore the full color markings for about 6 months, before going to all-over NS gray in early 1941. That one we already got! but thanks!
  5. Eric: have you checked ADFserials.com ??? they've got all the Aussie, NZ stuff
  6. hhmmm???? what about the lettering? I'm almost at the decals-per-mesh limit (there's only engine cowling & fuselage, no tail excepting the vert fin) I assume I;ll have to make another set for the right side only?? EDIT: nope, that didn't work. oh well, we tried!!!
  7. taking a closer look at the (flying) photo DA posted, we have ... wing commander - three stripes squadron commander - 2 stripes flight leader - 1 stripe stripes would be in squadron colors (whatever the hell THOSE are!!! ) all typical 1950s (ish) marking, not only for ANG and Reserves, but active units as well
  8. since the pre-war Vindicators are starting to look pretty good, I thought I have a go at one of their hangar-mates Should have known better -- the exception to the rule is "everyone once and a while, you'll find a pasko model that DOESN'T have a decal bleed" This one IS the rule -- most do. Well, there's 3 days work down the singularity ... kcuf note to self --- talk a 3d modeler willing to build new Wildcats .....
  9. one wonders if they fixed the fuel leakage problem with the integral 'wet wing' tanks
  10. also note the tailwheel doors are missing -- quite common in post-war mustangs
  11. indeed, their world center is base off the existence of their landing gear. specificly created static lods are needed for that
  12. yeah, I was gonna say the tail serial number presentation is wrong. It should look like mine. All post-war ANG units, even into the jet age (see my ANG Sabres and T-Jets) carried teh "ANG" notation. makes me wonder about the authenticity of the checks ... what needed are actual period photos
  13. now, all we need are general aviaton (light civilian) planes to park around (ie: statics)
  14. Yes, please. TELL us which F-5 it is, so maybe someone will come along and edit the announcement thread, and let other future downloaders KNOW exactly which one it's for. Just because it's fixed for you, dosen't mean it's fixed for everyone.
  15. never released this one, as is basicly a overhaul of a pre-existing one. Made all new decals with the correct font and color. But the marking ARE 100% accurate (excepting serials - they're generic)
  16. Probably better than the French-built 190As!!!
  17. Off the US eastern seaboard ... Neutrality Patrol from USS Ranger, circa March 1940 (Nazi subs BEWARE!!!)
  18. While the ship is carrying Spitires to Malta....VS-72 is helping out. Departing Scapa Flow for an anti-sub patrol (still very much a WIP)
  19. We do already have bunch of them in the d/l sections (along with ANG Jugs) by me. I can't remember where I got a lot of my info -- just had to try and run down the individual units.
  20. I would most def nominate Mue as Modder of the Decade. (you forgot to list "old age brain farts" as a risk to modding, too!)
  21. ok, yet another sign of old age ... just been informed the original upload DID NOT contain the actual aircraft! That has now been fixed. Sorry for the inconvience! Just re-download!
  22. yeah, git it working by simply changing compatibility to Winge7. What I get for whining, instead of looking for the obvious answers!

You must ALSO have access to the A-7D_75 as this mod makes use of that cockpit. Hence, the "FUll 5 Merged requirement. *** This is a modification of the stock CF-104_76 into a "What If..." CF-104S Super Starfighter of the Canadian Forces, Royal Norwegian Air Force, and Royal Danish Air Force. The mod is supplied with 5 skins, 2 of which are "generic" for Any Other Users You Can Think Of (tm). CAFCamo - a 2-tone dark Euro style (no squadron affiliation) RDAF - Dark Green Overall (Esk 726) RNoAF - Light, "Air Superority Grey" Overall (Skv 331) For Other Users: Standard European 2-tone camo Standard "SEA" type 3-tone camo All markings are decals, and the serial numbers are based off the CAF style post 1980s. 24 serials are supplied for each skin, excepting the Euro & SEA which share the same pool of 24 serials (which just happens to be historically correct CF-104 serials). Decal Randomization is TRUE. With the use of 'all decals' for markings, the 2 generic skins are easily re-badged for any other Friendly Nation (tm) that might have recieved these Super Zippers (see notes for more backstory). All skins have individual Hangar Screens. All are in jpg format. This is a "full use" aircraft; it is speced for medium range missiles (Sparrow, Aspide, Skyflash), Sidewinders, and all manner of air-to-ground weapons. THis is a full strike fighter, minus the RCAF/CAF's nuclear mission for NATO. It's cleared for use with all NATO, UK and USAF weapons. Be advised, the DRAF/CF use the same anti-ship missile, while the RNoAF uses it's own Penguin. Most weapons used are stock in-game items, excepting the "F104S pylon set". This has been edited to not conflict with the AMI or Turkish F-104S series. Other weapons are included; of these, all have had the 'end of service/export years' extended to at least 2045. All items have been included for ease of installation. Excepting those items who's LODs we can't access (cockpit!). Ini's do the trick. The canopy is also activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero). As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. PLEASE read it!!! Happy Landings!
