  1. Hell, Dave, you probably have an entre install for just the FemBots!!! Wrench kevin stein
  2. A little experimenting with Russo' Emil gives us this... A little work with the clone stamp to remove the JG53 tag, which I covered up any imperfections with a new "Graf Zeppelin" badge. A lot closer to the real T1 or T2. Albeit with the standard, shorter wings and no spoiler thingy's on them...but damn close for a What If bird! Wrench Kevin STein
  3. Very soon...less than "2 weeks" Just need to write the readmes for: KM Graf Zeppelin Bf19T10 (ok, so it's a later model... I don't have Russo's templates for his Emil....maybe later on) this is actually done. Might be uploaded tonight? Ju-87T (will NOT be the full aircraft -- you'll have to transfer files from the stock 87B. Since this is Pasko, and I dont' have permission to relaease the full aircraft. It'll be handled similiar to the ETO/PTO P-80 mod I've done And of course, the Arado above. Just need permissions for the Dev A-Team. Wrench kevin stein
  4. What I forgot to menting in the article, is the "SINGLEMISSION.INI" edits as well..... Modded SMI: If you want more targets (albeit of low value -- tents, bombcarts, goats, chickens, mooses) you can change the MinStrikeTargetsValue= to MinStrikeTargetsValue=05 Now, mind you, the low value units are usually based on target values set in the terrain's types ini, but these are easily adjusted. Wrench kevin stein
  5. Also have a replacement for the Ju-87T...as it would be pretty obsolete by 1942.... I call it the Arado-296; sort of an Axis style reverse Lend-Lease; German-built B6N, with several modifications, of course. As you can tell, it's not quite ready yet....still trying to figure out how to STOP the ventral gun from deploying...commented out all the call-outs for it...but it keeps dropping down. I know it's linked to the gear retraction somehow, but just can't figure it out. looks like an email to Capun is in order Wrench kevin stein
  6. Oh, man that is SO righteously funny!!!! You're one mean dude!!! "The new missiles for the F-22 will be ready in.... wait for it..... 2 weeks Wrench kevin stein
  7. The drop tanks are sitting here on my HD; I've got the edit them to create new tank/skin combos. Something I've forgotten to do for the last several weeks (ok, couple of months...sorry Carlo!!! I"m getting started on them today!!) Wrench kevin stein
  8. Ok, so with nearly 100 hits on the thread, I can assume ths missile 'works' as advertised???? Kinda sorta??? Wrench kevin stein
  9. No, no no...use the parts that came with the aircraft ONLY...it's designed to work a specific way, and if you mess around with things, you'll screw it up beyond recovery. Leave things as they are...read the readme, it explains all. Wrench kevin stein
  10. The Do-17 would do that to, if like me, you forgot to install the WW2 german bomber crew.... Wrench kevin stein
  11. I have a 109T mod for the 'Graf Zepplin'....and Stuka to go with it. note to self: PM or email Hinch to get permissions to release the carrier.... EDIT: I know I'd posted some pics of it here... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...hl=graf+zepplin Wrench kevin stein
  12. So, basically, my problem is "another fine Micro$oft product"???? figures.... Wrench kevin stein
  13. The 'black anti-glare' panel on the renamed 17PFU nose (now 19PPM - that's the nose and pylon set, 'hidden' inside the body) is to cover up the part that shows inside the cockpit...otherwise the pilot looks like he's sitting a hot tub of liquid metal!!! After all, this IS only a kind of stand-in until hopefully someone actually builds us a complete new aircraft. Which I doubt will ever happen.... Wrench kevin stein
  14. The only ones I'm working on are the aforementioned Iraq/Iran, and Desert Strom. DBS and OTC have been rebuilt and reissued...I think they look much better now. Although I DO have a rebuild of just the Darwin/Timor map in the works; updated to "modern times". Still need to have Edward contact me about permisisons for release, but it needs MAJOR flattening as I updated and/or moved or created new target areas and added something like 5 airfields (mostly in Oz). Once I have an OK from Edward, I can get someone to flatten the new or modified airfields. I'm pretty sure anything pre-patch 4 needs a rebuild. (or the use of a non-patch4 install) Wrench kevin stein ps: Edward, if you're reading this, PlEASE contact me ... I'd email you, but can't find your addy!!!
  15. Fix for stock WoE Hunter FGA.9 Drop Tanks (by Wrench and PhantomIIF4) Whilst creating the "What If..." IDF Hunter, I discovered a few anomolies with the stock WoE Hunter FGA.9. It should be noted at this time, that there are 2 full sets of drop tanks for the Hunter; one for AD's F.6 and the other for the WoE FGA.9. AD's tanks need no fixing...they're fine as they are. We're only concerned with the stock units. Some of you may have noted they don't 'sit right' on the pylons, this is because the 100 and 230 gallon tanks are 'switched'. The lod names are correct, they're just in the wrong places! Below is the listing for the stock WoE Hunter tanks: (*** used for some reason I can't think of right now) These are the items we're concerned with; if you look via the weapons editor, you'll see the AD tanks are named differently -- we leave them alone; they're just fine, thank you. As to the stock ones, the lods are switched... the 230 should use "Hunter_Tank_1" the 100 should use "Hunter_Tank_2" We're going to use the weapons editor to fix this. You don't even need to open the weaponsdata.ini in your text editor...we can do it all from the editing window in the Wepons Editor. It's quite easy, and should only take a few minutes So, open the editor, and then open the weaponsdata.ini you're going to change. Scroll down until you find the Tank100_Hunter Tank230_Hunter entries (they should be righ together) Open the Tank100_Hunter, and look at the editing windows. We're looking at the section called "3D Model Name". Change it to read: (note: I'm using bold text to highlight the change only) Hunter_Tank_2 While you're in there, you should also change the "Diameter" measurment. Change it to 0.48 (this is PhantomIIF4's fix) This will move the tank 'upwards', closer to the pylon. Click "OK" to return to the weapons list screen. Select the "Tank230_Hunter", and open it. We're going to do the same thing... Replace the "3D Model Name" with: Hunter_Tank_1 and, also change the diamter to the above spec: 0.48 On these inboard tanks, this is the major flaw...they sit too far down. This will fix that. Hit "SAVE" to updatd the weaponsdata.dat file and then close. You're done! The FGA.9 Hunter tanks will not look a LOT better, and sit pretty much where they're supposed to. The best thing about this fix is, it changes nothing in the attachmentposition of any other weapons that might use those staions BTW, this fix can be applied to the stock, non-weapons pak weaponsdata.ini as well. You'll just have to extract it from the WoE objects.cat first, then leave in the /objects folder. Happy Hunter-ing! Wrench Kevin Stein
  16. I think I'll do a Minmei nose art for mine... ducks and runs..... Although, I always had a thing for Miria.... Wonder how the SDF-1 could be used as a carrier...after all the 'arms' were. Internal landing bays, ala Galactica? Wrench kevin stein
  17. Sgt: one of 2 all weather interceptors I released a few week back, MiG-19P Farmer D and MiG-19PM Farmer E So, X,you still didn't answer the question: how'd you get the numbers to work? Move the 19P nose (the one without the pylons, and NOT buried in the cockpit) forward slightly?? Wrench kevin stein
  18. Can't get there either....this is what I get: Been that way, for me at any rate, for lots of weeks now Wrench kevin stein
  19. Sooo....what you're saying is you're still NOT getting humped?? Sorry, I had to do that!!! I take it it's still not working???? Everything you've shown is identical to what I have; and mine works. I don't know what to tell you...maybe try the A-4L hump and see what happens?? Wrench kevin stein
  20. Whilst I've been fiddling with the Indian MiGs, some cockpit and weapons mods, I remembered we were missing the R-98M SAHM for the Fishpot/Flagons. I need an 'expert' to take a look at the data below, to see if I've gotten it fairlly close: If this works right, we'll now have an empty space filled; as it stands the Flagon carries 2 IRs as opposed to what it should be: 1 IRM (R-98MT) and 1 SAHM (R-98M) TIA! Wrench kevin stein
  21. Does the hardpoint for the hump on your A-4E(L) look like the and of course, the previoulsy listed fixes for the avionics humps MUST be made! Wrench kevin stein
  22. I'm liking it!!! Good job! Wrench kevin stein ps: I have the K-14 sights for that too
  23. Ok folks, all the IAF Fishbeds are up in the downloads section: Type 74 Type 76 Type 77 Type 95 Type 96 Type 96B The only one still 'in the hangar' is the Bison...still having some issues with the cockpit. I do know for a fact there is a 21-93 in the works by gerald14 (as I'm kinda helping him out with it); but I'm trying to make some edits on the cockpit he's using, with not a lot of luck. So, I may release mine as a 'whathehellisthis' mod, until something can be figured out with the nice pit he wants to use. (just can't get rid of the needles for the 2nd engine without losing the main panel for some reason...very strange...) Wrench Kevin Stein
  24. View File Indian Air Force Type 96B Update Pak IAF Type 96B Fishbed C Update ver 2.0 Based on the original mod by Bob 'howling1' Hauser. Skins by Ghostrider883 What I've basically done, is 'rearrange' things to use the latest, Patch 4 versions of the 21MF lod, and 21MF data ini. == This package is designed to be used ONLY with the latest weapons pak!!! == == This package is also set to use the Magoo/Badger Mig-21MF cockpit - make sure you have it installed. == The loadouts have been set for Indian weapons; several of which might be new. Please check the 'Loadout Fixes' Thread at the CombatAce Knowledge Base for any further details. (and I've listed them in the enclosed 'readme' as well, plus a new one) Weapons carraige has been updated to reflect the use of some 'stand-off' style A-G missiles. I've NOT included any of the skins, as these were done by ghostrider883, but I've updated the decal ini for the "7Sq" skin. The skin bmps themselves fit fine, and need no updating (which is good, as I didn't really want to get into that!). PLEASE!!! (must I beg?) read the enclosed readme for detailed install instructions -- ya'll sensing a pattern here??? With thanks to the original modders/skinners that brought the Sub-Continet to our gaming world!! Good Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein ps: just in case anyone is interested, I've updated all the Pakistani MiG-21/J/F-7s as well, but they need to use pre-patch lods, which at the moment cannot be uploaded. I'm trying to figure out a work around... W Submitter Wrench Submitted 08/22/2007 Category Mig-21 Fishbed
