"Two weeks, be sure!" is originally a saying of O.Maddox, creator of il2 Sturmovik. It's from the times people were more interested in arrival of a new patch than their own paycheck The patch mania on ubi never stopped, one more, last update in about 2 weeks be sure
  2. Well when I'm in trouble in close up dogfight against a better turning plane I can not excape I usually go scissors on them, AI in WOE/WOV is pretty good at it which is great
  3. Yup that's it
  4. Well my primary all time favourite is the F-15A/C Eagle, it's just....perfect. As for others: Ta152H F-86 F-104 Mirage F1 And as for the latest stuff it's probably Jas39 Gripen
  5. You call this a patch thread???? Anyway, Mirage rox, bring it on
  6. Ground radar modes do not work with Avionics70.dll :(
  7. I personally downloaded files from CA with IE6, IE7 and Opera v9,02(which I use 99,99% of time) and had no problems so I doubt it's the browser
  8. Well it was about 2:00am here when I responded , but I'm pretty sure somebody moved it to this forum
  9. This is CS , and yes those guys always had a habbit of changing menus from version to version lol
  10. Put the sound you got with the add-on skyraider in "Sounds" folder. BTW: Wrong subforum
  11. Well I decided not to be lazy and share the way I do it First of all I work in Photoshop, don't know how to do it in other apps, as I never tried it... So let's say you made a nice shoreline tile for your new terrain/repaint, but now you have to make alpha channel for it... So once you opened your image in photoshop... ...on your "Layers" toolbar go to channels and duplicate one of them, I usually choose "the tail end Charlie" as a true virtual fighter pilot and that is Blue channel After that, selecting only the channel you just created go(on your main toolbar) to Image -> Adjustments -> Threshold... A window will pop out, so adjust the image with the slider shown on the picture until you get something similar to the one you can see on the screenshot. It will rarely if ever turn out perfectly so clean it up as needed with the brush... Now make other RGB channels visible and clean up the image with fine brush tip just to smooth it out and clearly define the shoreline so you don't get bad effects in game: End result looks something like this: Now that's a nice alpha channel with just a few minutes of work  In the end just don't forget to save the *.TGA with alpha channels: This is how I do it, I hope it can help somebody
  12. Well that is the right answer
  13. You also have to watch for target path, modern missiles in-game(don't know for RL) are great but are not wonders. AIM120 or R-77 will have no problems missing the target if you try to fire at unrealistic angles at targets travelling at high speed especially if they are popping decoys. I noticed though that AiM-9X and R-73M2 are mad and can hit virtually anything, scary stuff... BTW: Is there any way to make AI engage in BVR combat and even more importantly can one prevent them from sustaining extreme G manouvering(mostly turning). They often evade me making ridiculous shallow dive spiral but at extreme G. No problems for me to counter it(after years of fighting Spitfires in il2 lol) but it does not look too realistic...
  14. Well in short, everything works and is compatible.
  15. hi NikRus, the pics look great very smooth lines you got there If you need some drawings, I have insane resolution drawings of MiG-15/MiG-15UTI they are 2262x2998 each.
  16. Hehe, thx Marc
  17. Yes it would, we could make wonders with it  However official one is not likely to happen, this is what TK replied to me when I asked about it: Unfortunetly I have no programming skillz
  18. Hope you guys can have a lot of fun with mods, atleast 1/100th of what I and many others had before we got f***ed by QTim Il2 Sturmovik 2001-2007 R.I.P.
  19. Yeah those damn satellites just make up photos anyway
  20. Yes that would be great :)
  21. You have my permission to use my stuff
  22. Yes for online play you use HyperLobby, you can download the latest version here: http://hyperfighter.sk/ Hurry up, I'm not sure multiplayer, real, old school multiplayer will last long anymore
  23. Ouch look at that nasty seam in the city, I'll have to fix that :moil:
  24. Well yeah but theese planes are often more manouverable than their counterparts, get in close and blast them, they also have big cannons (37mm) so you don't need to "hose" them, forget about "spray and pray" though. After flying some F-4B, I'm happy to have a gun at all
  25. This is awsome, even I managed to land it and not just land it but land it in the city, the whole operation went amazingly smooth
