No other versions of TE available. If the TE crashs to desktop CTD it can have different reasons. One is the wrong version (already said above). The second is in the texturetile.ini. Make sure that you have all tiles which are stated in the texturetile.ini in your terrain folder. Make sure, that all this tile files are in bmp format. It can happen that the miss of one tile can cause CTD. Trial and error.

Sure. No problem with it. But its still a Beta. In the next time i will set the targets at the iranian terrain east of Busher till to the Strait of Hormuz. Perhaps a conversation could wait till it is done, but if someone want to do a SF2 version as soon as possible so feel free to do it. -

Ehm, sorry. But the only know things are some pictures taken during ground tests. How can someone really know the weight of this bird? It has not flown yet. How can someone seriously say someting about speed, climbrate, range etc? This is hokus pokus. -

View File Persian Gulf Terrain Persian Gulf Terrain -------------- Beta 0.5-------------------------- ***************************************************** This terrain is written for SFP1, but should work properly with WOI,WOV and WOE. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: This terrain covers the most parts of the Persian Gulf from Strait of Hormuz to the oil fields of Bandar e Khomeni. It includes the coastal region of the Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and the coastal region of Saudi Arabia. Kuwait and Iraq are NOT included in this terrain, because an other terrain (Desert Storm) is already covering this area. At the moment Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the western part of Iran are ready for action in this terrain. Ground combat you will see on iranian soil, mostly in the Busher area. At the UAE and the eastern part of Iran only airfields are operational, no other targets. This will come with the next update. The tiles of the street network are only placeholders. I'm not satisfied with them. They will also replaced. There are some other issues which still have to be done. Dont forget. Its a beta release at the moment. Improvments of Beta 0.5 1. 312 target areas instead 175 in Beta 0.1 2. Iran is nearly finished. Rivers, towns, villages, bridges, some factories, ports, oil fields, Scud launchers, coastal defence missile launchers are set on the map. A SAM network around Bandar Abbas in the southeast of Iran ist installed now ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ II. INSTALLATION: Unzip all files into your StrikeFighters/terrain folder. Put folder Silkworm into your objects/groundobjects folder. Thats it. Q: What is to do to make it usable for WOI,WOV and WOE? Die R-3R kam mit der MiG-21bis. Die wurde, wenn ich mich nicht irre 1977 eingeführt. Also dürfte die R-3R auch zu diesem Zeitpunkt bei den LSK eingesetzt worden sein. Die Treffergenauigkeit der R-3R wurde nach Gefechtsschießen in der SU von den LSK Piloten bemängelt. Sie war also nicht das Gelbe vom Ei, aber in den Wolken war sie den IR gelenkten Raketen haushoch überlegen. Deshalb wurde sie auch genutzt.

War nicht die Su-27, sondern die MiG-31 in Le Bourget als die Russen ein Vergleichsfliegen anboten und die Amis gekniffen haben. Das die Stealth Eigenschaften des Raptor nicht 100%ig sind wurde ja schon durch den Bericht über den Absturz einer F-22 im Dezember bekannt. Da hieß es ja auch, daß die F-22 plötzlich vom Radar verschwand. Wenn das Ding wirklich für das Radar unsichtbar sein sollte, so hätte es ja erst gar nicht auf den Radarschirmen erscheinen dürfen. Das Amerikaner es nicht mögen, wenn sie bei Übungen im Luftkampf geschlagen werden ist bekannt. Schon als die Luftwaffepiloten mit den MiG-29 die F-16 verprügelt haben, haben die US Boys immer wieder in der Nachbesprechung versucht das in der Luft verlorene Gefecht am Boden mit dem Mund zu gewinnen. Schön, daß sich die Geschichte nun mit dem Eurofighter wiederholt. Wenigstens dafür ist das Teil zu etwas nütze. Eine Staffel A-10 oder Su-25 wäre im realen Leben heute aber weitaus angebrachter .

If the J-20 becomes a real service plane, then the Chinese have overtaken Europe for the first time in the development of military planes. Its a potential dangerous development. -

I cant remember that missiles made this winding course in game. The first Sidewinders, but also the israeli Shafrir were heavyly winding while flying in reality, but unfortunatly not in the game. -

I think you mean planes, not plaines If a plane does not appear in game you has done something wrong with the installation procedure. Make sure to place the birds in the correct folder (aircraft). Make sure that you has downloaded planes and not skins. -
Yes the Me-109 was the top scorer. But on the side of the allied planes the Spitfire and the soviet Yak typs have much more kills than every american fighter plane. The brits and soviets had had much more chances to get in dogfight with enemy planes. Sure, a Mustang was an outstanding plane, but it has flown normaly 1 sortie a day. At the eastern front up to 8 or 10 sorties were not uncommon.

You cant convert FE terrains into SF terrains. You can only convert SF into FE. If you try to convert from FE to SF you will see, that the game engine is unable to use the entire map. The coordinate system is warped in a strange way, so that airfields and targets are not at the locations were they should be. Its a pity, because i tried to convert my Vogesen terrain into SF and i failed. But you can import SF planes into FE and this is a great fun. The terrain resolution of 500x500 meters is much better than the usual 2000x2000 meters and so hedgehoping through mountainsides of the Vogesen is really fun! Screenshot shows a hedghoping ride over Vogesen terrain. With more then 1000kph though the valleys. Its the stock FE tileset. Then you can imagine how it looks with one of the photorealistic tilesets

Generally spoken is "fake pilot" the adding of a new part. You say the game engine, that the new part is a pilot and is positioned at a certain position of the plane. You could download my F-16C Barak, and see how it is made. Its made with Fake pilot. -

After your post a looked into the file. Its the F-16B i have uploaded, but with an additional tailsection attached by fake pilot methode. Had not included it into the upload, because the fake pilot tail has no movable rudder.
