I was referring to the Tom Clancy novel 'Red Storm Rising,' which is of course fiction. this is from Wiki: The F-19A Ghostrider, which shares the same physical characteristics as the Revell model kit, appears in Tom Clancy's novel Red Storm Rising, where an entire chapter is devoted to its exploits ('The Frisbees of Dreamland'). The stealth attack fighters, nicknamed 'Frisbees' by their pilots in reference to their smooth, curved shape, use AIM-9 Sidewinder infrared-guided air-to-air missiles to shoot down Russian IL-76 Mainstay airborne early warning aircraft, thus allowing NATO fighters to penetrate Russian-controlled areas of Germany and bomb the Soviet forces massing there. To further facilitate the attack, the F-19s use nose-mounted lasers to illuminate targets for other fighters and bombers dropping laser-guided bombs. But you knew that, didn't you? Keep up the good work with all of the Il-76 variants Veltro.

Sorry for not replying Stratos. Yes I've based my install on WOE. I never edited the terrain. The nations .ini and the other .inis in the terrain files take care of everything I think, and the new nations pack which I have as standard in most of my installs includes Ukraine. All I did was to create nationalised versions of various planes and ground objects, which was mainly copying various Soviet planes, helos, tanks, SAM and AAA vehicles and making them Ukranian. Where I didn't have a Ukranian skin all I did was to nationalise the Soviet skin I wanted so that Ukranian marking showed up, as I figured that for the most part the planes have similar colour schemes.

Well there's no secret project to share, it's just a lot of modded planes and ground objects so I can fly single missions. There's no campaign or anything because I was waiting for Pfunk to release his campaign but he seems to have gone AWOL. Plus my game computer's in the shop for repairs so I can't even get access to take a screenie of the aircraft folder

Already done it in my WOEMAC install. Russia vs Ukraine, with Turkey and some other NATO stuff lurking on the sideline. Lots of Russian and Ukrainian MiGs, Sukhois etc in my aircraft folder and an almost double sized ground objects folder with all of those air defence units duplicated for Russian and Ukrainian service.... Here are some Russian Fencers attacking a Ukrainian airbase. Not all of them made it home...

Lucky so and so. We had .303 Lee Enfields when I was in the cadets at school in the '80s! Got to use SLRs when we had open days or camps though.

Just got back from seeing it. Thought it was great - the guys who played Spock and Bones were spot on, Kirk could have used some more.....pauses, in his SPEECH...patterns, but was otherwise OK, and I liked the way he was hitting on every girl in the movie! The only things I didn't like were Simon Pegg's Scotty, thought he was too much of a comedy comedy character, and the fact that there wasn't enough of the classic theme tune, although I do realize why they saved it until the end. Hope we see some Klingon action in the next movie!
