    I think they took it from a USMC AH-1 Cobra gunhip and designated it NOGS (Night Observation GunShip). Airfix made a 1/72 kit of it back in the day.

    The patch from Thirdwire is SP4 IIRC, which brought Stike Fighters game up to date with the other Wings Over... games and all were then patched in parallel from that point I think. So there was nothing 'wrong' other than the fact that your game wasn't patched up to the appropriate level.

    Unfortunately game generated single missions will not be carrier based. It's one of the biggest gripes. However, you can fly from carriers in campaigns and user created single missions. With TK working on SF2:Tomcat this situation may well change.

    You need the last Service Pack from the Thirdwire archives. http://www.thirdwire.com/downloads_archive.htm Scroll down and download Strike Fighters Project 1 v05.15.06 Service Pack (74.2 MB) Install it and then install the patch Wrench pointed you to. I think that should sort you out.

    Great mod Gepard, but I'm pretty sure that the F-16D is called Barak, like the F-16C, in the same way that both the F-16A & F-16B are called Netz. Just a minor point that shouldn't take anything away from the work you've done in putting this one together.
