Read about this on my lunch break... absolutely barking... can only imagine whoever thought it up has little to no flying or engineering experience.

Why Ain't We Flyin First Eagle Online ?
fallenphoenix1986 replied to yubba's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
You might want to look at Warthunder, its pretty much on the same level as Thirdwire for complexity. The way its set up there are three distinct modes of realism, Arcade, Realistic and Sim, each being progressively more complex. Arcade IMHO isn't worth looking at, Realistic is on par with Thirdwire and Sim is somewhere between Thirdwire and IL2. Added bonus, its free to play so wont hurt to try. -
F-35 Red Flag Kill Ratios

Pretty representative of every NATO war in the last 30 years though, go in with overwhelming back up support and club the guy with inferior equipment and numbers. -

If ever there was a unit begging to get "Zapped".... Havn't seen Spinners around here or over at What-if for a while -
IL-21946-DBW (been a very long time though) FSX (occasional use only) SF2 (Israel, Vietnam, Europe, NA) RoF (Again, been along time, like 3+ years since I fired it up) Warthunder (kinda see it as a modern day replacement for EAW) Paying close attention to X-Plane 11, might jump on board. Waiting for Western naval aircraft to arrive in DCS before jumping in, F-14 or F/A-18 - whatever arrives first.

English Electric Sea-Lightning: http://www.gengriz.co.uk/sealightning2.htm Frighteningly enough this was a real proposal at one point.

The Super Bug cannot be upgraded to perform he 35's primary role... it will always be easier to detect and thus less survivable. The 35 is a penetration strike jet with a secondary fighter role. The Bug is jack of all trades but very much in the 35's shadow when it comes to day one strike. They simply are not comparable. Furthermore by the time you've upgraded a Bug to carry some/most of the 35's new avionics it likely wont be significantly cheaper than the 35 anyway... all Trump will achieve is p!ssing away all the R&D funds already spent on the 35 to end up with a sub par alternative...

Weapons or fuel, pick one or the other... not both. That said the 33 is capable of buddy refueling so they can top off after launch. -

A lot of that you would be forgiven for thinking was real world footage. -
I'm sitting with a big bowl of popcorn waiting to see how and why Mexico are going to build a certain wall...

The next 4 years are going to be.... um... interesting. Craig

Again realistically Hillary is going to win. Ideally rerun the whole thing with new candidates - neither Clinton nor Trump are fit for purpose, and third party candidates simply dont have enough weight to mount a realistic attempt.

Interesting..... gimmie gimmie gimmie

Thinking more along the lines of an F/A-50 squadron myself... or if they really push the boat out leased Gripens in the same manner as Hungary/Thailand/Czech Rep. Whether Mexixco can afford either I don't know.... if they can't support a tiny fleet of F-5's though I can't see them getting far with F-16's or F/A-18's... not that there are any second hand Hornets to be had. F-111
fallenphoenix1986 replied to TheWarrior's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
There is no reason the method applied to the A-6 wouldn't work with other models... there is nothing special about the A-6, if you can apply the edits to the A-6 you can do it for any plane you choose... -
F-111
fallenphoenix1986 replied to TheWarrior's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Because it has... if its been done to one model it can be done to any, everything you've done recently with ccip sights was done to the A-6 first by others. Also your somewhat condesending post about being clever enough to know that air density decreases with increasing altitude and must therefor be accounted for... laying out bombing tables for given altitudes and speeds... there are guys on this site that can do that kind of math in our heads as we go, it isn't a mystical secret you discovered.
