not unless the US and China get into it (which we dont want real world...) or rules of engagement prevent the long range shot. but between AWACS, COMINT/SIGINT and the better reliabilty of fighter avionics and weapons, the USAF and USN can deliver on what was promised in Vietnam; consistent BVR kills really funny is that the F/A-18E that got a kill in Syria tried AIM-9X first, then extended and switched to AMRAAM when the Winder got spoofed by flares... yes the 9X.

Win11 and SF2 are perfectly fine on my laptop that was Win11 from the factory. My desktop got upgraded from 10 to 11 after i was stuck with only the laptop for 6 months. it has issues with some of my programs to include SF2 crashing the whole system. in the case of SF2, im also usually running several tabs in GIMP and at least one instance of the LODviewer. cant think of the why of top of my head but my system now doesnt like doing all that at once. some of the time. so basically, works fine if i watch what im doing. desktop icons i have mainly by going in the ThirdWire main folder (typically yourComp\Program Files(x86)\ ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2) and then sending teh various exes to desktop (ya know, where it creates a shortcut). but i got plenty of exes and shortcuts going

Flying Tigers on the Hunt... and your trivia for today: the 74th FS in 1995 had the most D model Block 40 (6) of any unit outside of Luke AFB. Given the 23rd Wing's role to support the 82nd Airborne Division at the time, these were assigned to act as Fast FACs

your sir are a damn steely eyed missile man! i also had been basing off of Metrea Simulations pics of their virtual plane (via artstation); thats proven not to be too accurate oddly enough https://www.artstation.com/artwork/zDgdG6 photos for the sides have been good though im pretty comfortable with the colors as they are now, and have to make some adjustment due to model (like both side airbrakes being mapped to the same spot) but overall this is way more than what ive had so far just the blurry pic alone should get it dialed in abit more. once im done with medical emergencies and the 100th ARW in 1998..........

daddyairplanes replied to Gepard's topic in General Discussion

Phantom Phriday. (READ RULES IN FIRST POST)
daddyairplanes replied to yakarov79's topic in Screen Shots
Did the RAF ever actually use that green scheme? i always thought it was either a one off experimental or a modders flight of fancy which of course we can do thinks like that here. like 74 Sqn CAP'n Gioia de Colle out of Deci...... -
one of the greatest things about SF2 over others is the moddability which has spawned much variety. with the right code edits you could have a P-51 fire a Tomahawk missile. but you have to practice up on what youre doing. that said, many of the active modders in this community tend towards more historical accuracy. in your case of Sparrows on a F-16, certainly. go download the F-16A ADF variant. Sparrow capable out of the box. in reality, this was the only one that carried them operationally, even though most could carry them from the beginning and the radar modes allowed them to be used from Block 25 onwards (the Block 15 based ADFs were retrofitted to 25 standards) just that little bit is typical of many of us here. so do ask and learn. it would be great to have someone else modding even if just ini edits. but dont be suprised if you ask about something and hear
