It would appear at the moment that you're getting meshes randomly placed due to a lack of heirachy. In order for the aircraft to look normal, all meshes need to be children of a parent mesh, which is usually the fuselage. See the thirdwire exporter notes here in the Knowledge Base or downloads section for more information.

It's getting to the stage that there are those in the community that are taking it for granted there will always be a steady trickle of mod add-ons to the 3rdW sim series regardless of their behaviour. Seriously, some of the mods coming out of the Mirage Factory are better than any of the aircraft released by sim companies themselves. But the kicker is they get thanked by bitching and moaning. That may seem harsh, but in a lot of cases, its the scenario Jules and Dave illustrated, either someone will try and find something to slur the thing, or it'll be the classic whine with no hint of method of improvement. Before people kick off, it's not just implied about this instance, this has gone on for bloody ages, since all the original moaners came in to tell the SF fans the sim would never last. Christ, to think people give up their time to try and better the game for the many masses out there. Can see why a lot have left already.

There are only a few currently flying P-38's around the world. If this P-38 found on Gwynedd beach gets restored, it'll make a fourth, which could also be joined by a fifth in the future.

I found this sim by total accident back in 2003. I went into my local gamestation with a fiver in my pocket and saw SFP1 on the shelf for 3 pound. I grabbed it there and then, rushed home and booted it up. It was my first real flight sim and I've never really played any others. I flew the sim for about a year un-modded and then in 2004 started to get into the 3rd party mods that were available. I distinctly remember the P-51, Monty's B-29, a lot of the high viz F-100D skins by JSF_aggie and Mike's B-52G. Only after I actually got the sim, I realised that I had earlier bought an Aircraft Illustrated magazine which had a review of SF...

Zur, I know that you can have slimers built as meshes that are able to be turned on and off, I just don't know how to model it. But take a peek at wpnssgt's A-10, cos he had them to work like that.

Sundowner did it a different way from the slimers as meshes, he positioned a bloody tonne of singular lights in the data.ini file into blocks around the aircraft. I'm trying to do that with the stock A-10. I would whole heartedly recommend the slimer mesh method any day.

This is not a work around problem, and only really works if you have all 16 people flying in a session, but move the start points near airbases of your choosing, that way you can all quickly land, taxi and then take off when you choose. Like I say, not a solution, but perhaps a option.
