This package contains modified data files for the Slava Class Cruiser. It is meant for SF2:NA based installs only. You will need the Slava class upgrade package 1.1 http://combatace.com/files/file/12802-slava-class-upgrade-package/ Alternatively if you have the SF2:NA Expansion Pack by eburger68 then it can be used with the Slava included in the pack. /-------------------------------------------------------------------------- This package makes numerous adjustments to the Slava Data file. The most important is making the SA-N-6 missile launchers function via a Gunner instead of using the [WeaponSystem] entery. As such they operate similar to the launchers on WhiteBoySamurai's cruisers. Some slight adjustments have also been made to the SA-N-4 gunners. Additionally all other gunners have been heavily overhauled in order to adjust the performance of the ship's gun systems against the AA and CIWS role. The Alt1 file is uses stock or existing guns while the Alt2 file uses custom modified guns.
  2. Already saw it and updated my prime membership.
  3. View File SCB-125 Data File Update This is an updated data file for the Stock Third Wire SBC-125. Adjustments have been made to bring the [DetectSystem] entry in line with SF2:NA. It has been based upon the data used by the TW CVA-63. Also the four Mark 24 Mod 11 5 inch mounts for the 5"/38 Mark 12 guns are now operational. As default they are set to use the stock TW "5IN_MK12" An alternate optional 5 inch gun "5IN_38_MK12_AA" has been included. This gun has been adjusted to be more effective against aircraft. This file has been tested in SF2:NA. Submitter KJakker Submitted 01/09/2014 Category Aircraft Carriers

  5. Always good when a pilot can make a successful emergency landing.
  6. I had a thread I posted in the pub when Star Citizen first came out but I guess I never got it moved over to the Sci-Fi simulations forum. http://combatace.com/topic/75384-star-citizensquadron-42-a-new-chris-roberts-game/
  7. I remember seeing a couple of news stories about unexploded WWII bombs. This one was from last year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19400974
  8. I was wondering if anyone might know the answer to a couple of question that occurred to me. Both the F-14 and the F-111 started life with the same Pratt & Whitney TF30 engines but to improve performance the F-14 was reequipped with the General Electric F110. Could the F-111 have physically carried/mounted the F110 engines? If so, was the F-111 ever considered for the same upgrade that the F-14 received?
  9. Fubar, I might be interested in taking a crack at the data file for that November class.
  10. Darn, I thought that you were going to say that you got a deal on a low mileage C-47.
  11. Have you run scandisk and defrag? That often will sort out issues related to free space on disk not being recognized.
  12. Is that railroad gun actually firing upon a ground target while at that level of elevation? Edit: Never mind. Found the readme file. For a second there I thought that you had found a way for artillery the properly elevate when attacking ground targets.
  13. Here, read this post from the Knowledge Base. I think it might be what you are looking for. http://combatace.com/topic/60726-the-userlistini/ If I am reading it right then if the Nation in the object's USERLIST.INI does not appear in the given Terrain's "_NATIONS.INI" file then the object should not appear there. That is my understanding at least.
  14. Update 1.1 on 12/19/2013 for the V/W Class destroyer pack for World War II in SF2:NA and 5 full merged installs. Changes. 1. Adjustments to the guns in all ship data files. The AA Pom-Pom mounts on the "BritishLongRangeEscort" and the "BritishShortRangeEscort" have had their elevation and traverse rate adjusted to reflect RPC (Remote Power Control) on the mounts on these ships. The "VWClassDestroyer" representing early war ships does not have this update. Slight changes made to all data files due the number 2. 2. Small adjustments and some additions have been made the the included guns. 3. Overhaul of the Mk VIII Torpedo based on advice from Fubar512. 4. The addition of "..._DATA_ALT.ini" data files as an optional alternative. These alternate data files represent improved effectiveness air defenses for the ships via some changes gunner data and alternative gun variants. To use the alternate Data file just comment out the default "ObjectDataFile=" entry and uncomment the alternate entry in each ship types' main INI file. All information in the original readme file that is not contradicted by this one still applies. Installation: Same as in Original ReadME file. If you already have V1.0 of the pack then just allow this updated version to overwrite it. Delete the "12pdr_20cwt_QF_HA2" from the "Guns" folder in the Mod folder that you have installed the V/W pack to. It has been replaced by the "12pdr_20cwt_QF_HA_H".
  15. I have added this to the detect system entry. A slight modification of the CVA-63 [DetectSystem] data. [DetectSystem] TargetType=AIR_AND_GROUND RadarFamilyName=Carrier RadarSearchTime=3.0 RadarSearchRange=450036.0 RadarSearchStrength=150.0 RadarSurfaceSearchRange=48152.0 RadarTrackTime=6.0 RadarTrackRange=40000.0 RadarTrackStrength=120.0 RadarPosition=12.83,11.8,30.35 RadarMinimumRange=1500.0 RadarMaximumAlt=5000.0 RadarMinimumAlt=50.0 RadarSearchFreq=0.9 RadarTrackFreq=5.0 RadarMissileGuidanceFreq=9.5 RadarSearchCW=FALSE RadarTrackCW=FALSE RadarMissileGuidanceCW=TRUE MultipleDetect=TRUE DataLink=TRUE NetworkType=USN_SHIP OpticalSight=TRUE NightSight=TRUE VisualRange=15000.0 ViewportPosition=12.83,11.8,30.35 MaxVisibleDistance=20000.0 RadarCrossSection=10000
  16. Blade, Wrench let me look at the LOD files and I put together a similar modification. Take a look at it to compare if you want. Mod SCB-125.7z
  17. Thanks for looking. Wrench would you be willing to PM me a copy and past of the Text-string section displayed by the HEX editor for the LOD so I can take a look at it myself?
  18. Does anyone know the names of the mesh names for the guns on the SCB-125.lod?
  19. Here are attached ship sounds and there related Soundlist.ini entries that I am using in my SF2:NA install. Ship Sounds.7z
  20. Rends, there are a number of ship sounds that are included with various ships or packs. As I am really into ships in SF2:NA Let me take a look at what I have and get back to you.
  21. What about the USS The Sullivans?
  22. Anyone know where I can find a DVD box set of all 13 episodes of the Clash of Wings Documentary series. I have looked on Amazon.com and the Discovery Channel store but I can't seem to find a full set anywhere.
  23. I remember in the Gun Kills of Vietnam episode of Dogfights that the Navy Skyraider pilot they were interviewing described being fired on by AAM's as his first indication that Mig's were in the area before visually sighting Mig-17's. It was implied but not stated that they were the one that launched the missiles.
