Sokol, yes there are other Water Hit Effects. I will see about putting together some of them for you.

According to the info here http://www.mustangsmustangs.com/p-51/?specifications the P-51B/C had 315 rounds per gun. If I recall correctly the D/K had more ammo for the two innermost guns than for the four outer guns. I think 350 for each innermost pair and 295 for the other four. But that is just off the top of my head so don't quote me on it.

Fubar512, I am a bit jealous, getting to see a ship with no barriers. I have been to the USS Alabama (BB-60), USS Missouri (BB-63), and this is my second time to the USS North Carolina (BB-55). I would really like to see the USS Texas (BB-35) but I am from Michigan and I don't know when I will ever get the chance to go to Corpus Christi, Texas. Thanks, pcpilot. To bad about the USS Midway (CV-41), I have been aboard the USS Yorktown (CV-10) at Patriots Point in Charleston, South Carolina. I bet the Midway is impressive to see. Do you gave any pictures of her? Wrench, I would like to see those pictures. I should probably scan the pictures my family took aboard Missouri at Pearl Harbor in 2001.

Cool, but 48 inches is to small it needs to be 134 inches in diameter. Also 60 watts is a little low, power should be in the 1000kW range. ;-) LOL

I am going to be visiting the USS North Carolina museum this week and I fly out tomorrow afternoon. Do any of our WWII modders have any request on any part of the ship or object aboard that they would liked photographed? I probably will not be able to log in to CombatAce while I am away but I should still be able to check the site. I will probably be visiting the ship Thursday so you have about 24-hours to make any request. No promises I will get what you want, but I figured I should offer.

I am going to be visiting the USS North Carolina BB-55 museum next week and have been putting together a folder of information on the ships to take with me. However I have been unable to find an online copy of the Booklet of General Plans for the North Carolina. I would like to ask if anyone has a copy or knows of a link to where a copy of the North Carolina's plans can be found? If so would you please let me know. Thank you.

You can use GIMP or Artweaver Free. They are open source alternatives to photo shop. I used GIMP to make the decals for the V/W Class Destroyer. http://www.gimp.org/ http://www.artweaver.de/en/download You should also read this. http://combatace.com/topic/76701-making-decals-using-gimp/

Learn something new everyday. I never knew that any aircraft other than the Lancaster had carried the Grand Slam. Source. Link 1 & Link 2. A news clip with photo, "Two 22,000-pound bombs were carried by B-29s toward the end of the war. British designed bombs were carried externally", shows a B-29 with two Grand Slam bombs mounted at hard points between the inner nacelles and the fuselage. View is from 4 o'clock low.Unless the pictured bombs are empty casings, this would be stressing the B-29 well beyond standard published limits. Most sources list maximum bomb load as 20,000 lb, while two Grand Slams would be 44,000 lb (plus mountings.) Listed empty weight is 68,800 lb, though this could be decreased by a couple of thousand pounds by eliminating the defensive guns and fire-control system; maximum weight (in some sources, overload weight) is listed at 135,000 lb. The plane in the photo appears to have a radome mounted between the bomb bay door positions. This probably reveals the presence of a RADAR system on the plane, either weather-monitoring or, possibly, targeting.

IDF\AF photos on Foxtrot Alpha by xnir

The picture of the F-15 kicking out flares is incredible. -
You could try adding a second deck lod with a separate entry from the flight deck in the data ini to represent the hanger deck.

I believe that 76.IAP-Blackbird has an SU-34 in development. See the post below. http://combatace.com/topic/40165-blacks-projects-su-33ubsu-25-wip-and-more/?p=405009

Just thought I would post this as an update on Star Citizen. Everything is pre-alpha but still interesting to see. I took note of the blackout effect at about 12:00.

You'd think it would be easy... (probably is)
KJakker replied to fallenphoenix1986's topic in General Discussion
fallenphoenix1986, did you change the "AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll" line in the "Arrow_FGR3.INI" file to read "AvionicsDLL=AvionicsF14A.dll"? [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=Avro Arrow FGR3 AircraftShortName=CF-105 AircraftDataFile=CF-105_data.ini CockpitDataFile=CF-105_cockpit.ini UserList=CF-105_UserList.ini HangarScreen=CF-105_Hangar.jpg LoadingScreen=CF-105_Loading.jpg LoadoutImage=CF-105_LOADOUT.TGA LoadoutFile=CF-105_loadout.ini AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll <-------------------------Change to AvionicsDLL=AvionicsF14A.dll AvionicsDataFilename=CF-105_avionics.ini If the "Arrow_FGR3_AVIONICS.INI" file is set up for the "AvionicsF14A.dll" file structure and the "Arrow_FGR3.INI" file is still telling the game that it is using an "Avionics60.dll" format avionic file then the radar is not going to work . Secondly the lines below were taken from the "F-14A_AVIONICS.INI" file. You need the lines in bold to be placed under the [TargetTWS] entry in the "Arrow_FGR3_AVIONICS.INI" file in order for multi-targeting to work. Kidd class and Kee Lung class destroyers
KJakker replied to WhiteBoySamurai's topic in File Announcements
WBS, I just took a look at the Kidd Class's missile armament and I think you gave them too many SAM in their magazines. You have 80 RIM-66D missiles for 40 each fore and aft, however the Kidd class's forward Mk 26 Mod 3 GMLS only has a 24 round magazine while the aft Mk 26 Mod 4 GMLS has a 44 round magazine, which is a total of 68 missiles for both magazines combined. As I understand it they usually carried 52 Standard and 16 ASROC but I don't have any info on how they would have been distributed between the fore and aft magazines. I was thinking maybe one of these two arrangement might be possible alternatives. Idea 1 Fore: 20 Standard, 4 ASROC Aft: 32 Standard, 12 ASROC Or Idea 2 Fore: 24 Standard Aft: 28 Standard, 16 ASROC -

BeachAV8R, I took a look at the OP-8 and Road2Hell mission files and crossed out the aircraft in them that appeared in your earlier ODS mission reports. The following objects are called out in the Road2Hell mission file but do not appear in the OP-8 mission file. You might want to take a look at these objects. campaign night missions

TK may have rigged the Naval Maps that way on purpose so he did not have to provide lighting for the carrier decks. -
Well I had been out of flight sims for a number of years just due to frustration over poor visibility and system complexity. Then I got a TrackIR 5 for Christmas 09 and I started looking for TrackIR games and help in getting back into flight sims. That lead me to SimHQ and some of the members there pointed me in the direction of SF2 which lead me to register here at CA in January 2010. It took me about a year to full migrate over since then I have never really looked back. In that time I learned a lot about INI editing, espesialy ships, guns, and weapons, and their behavor in SF2:NA. Then in the last year I have finally put up a few minor mods and a worked on some joint projects with a few people. As for my personal life I will just say that in the time I have been a CombatAce member I have become a Brother in Law and an Uncle.
