Fubar, I might be interested in taking a crack at the data file for that November class.
-
Darn, I thought that you were going to say that you got a deal on a low mileage C-47.
-
Have you run scandisk and defrag? That often will sort out issues related to free space on disk not being recognized.
-
Is that railroad gun actually firing upon a ground target while at that level of elevation? Edit: Never mind. Found the readme file. For a second there I thought that you had found a way for artillery the properly elevate when attacking ground targets.

Here, read this post from the Knowledge Base. I think it might be what you are looking for. http://combatace.com/topic/60726-the-userlistini/ If I am reading it right then if the Nation in the object's USERLIST.INI does not appear in the given Terrain's "_NATIONS.INI" file then the object should not appear there. That is my understanding at least.

Update 1.1 on 12/19/2013 for the V/W Class destroyer pack for World War II in SF2:NA and 5 full merged installs. Changes. 1. Adjustments to the guns in all ship data files. The AA Pom-Pom mounts on the "BritishLongRangeEscort" and the "BritishShortRangeEscort" have had their elevation and traverse rate adjusted to reflect RPC (Remote Power Control) on the mounts on these ships. The "VWClassDestroyer" representing early war ships does not have this update. Slight changes made to all data files due the number 2. 2. Small adjustments and some additions have been made the the included guns. 3. Overhaul of the Mk VIII Torpedo based on advice from Fubar512. 4. The addition of "..._DATA_ALT.ini" data files as an optional alternative. These alternate data files represent improved effectiveness air defenses for the ships via some changes gunner data and alternative gun variants. To use the alternate Data file just comment out the default "ObjectDataFile=" entry and uncomment the alternate entry in each ship types' main INI file. All information in the original readme file that is not contradicted by this one still applies. Installation: Same as in Original ReadME file. If you already have V1.0 of the pack then just allow this updated version to overwrite it. Delete the "12pdr_20cwt_QF_HA2" from the "Guns" folder in the Mod folder that you have installed the V/W pack to. It has been replaced by the "12pdr_20cwt_QF_HA_H".

Blade, Wrench let me look at the LOD files and I put together a similar modification. Take a look at it to compare if you want. Mod SCB-125.7z
-
Thanks for looking. Wrench would you be willing to PM me a copy and past of the Text-string section displayed by the HEX editor for the LOD so I can take a look at it myself?
-
Does anyone know the names of the mesh names for the guns on the SCB-125.lod?
-
Glad I could help.
-
Here are attached ship sounds and there related Soundlist.ini entries that I am using in my SF2:NA install. Ship Sounds.7z
-
Rends, there are a number of ship sounds that are included with various ships or packs. As I am really into ships in SF2:NA Let me take a look at what I have and get back to you.

What about the USS The Sullivans?

Anyone know where I can find a DVD box set of all 13 episodes of the Clash of Wings Documentary series. I have looked on Amazon.com and the Discovery Channel store but I can't seem to find a full set anywhere.

I remember in the Gun Kills of Vietnam episode of Dogfights that the Navy Skyraider pilot they were interviewing described being fired on by AAM's as his first indication that Mig's were in the area before visually sighting Mig-17's. It was implied but not stated that they were the one that launched the missiles.

Sounds just like the kind of stuff that went on during the Cold War. One side sent a ship to shadow a carrier and the other sides escort vessels try to keep the shadowing ship away from the carrier.

Go to Options->Gameplay. Set "Simulation Difficulty" to "Customize" then set "Radar Display" to "Hard".

AH-1/AH-64/etc weapons systems question
KJakker replied to RogerSmith's topic in Military and General Aviation
The AH-64's 30mm cannon can be slaved to either crew member's helmet mounted display. Also what is the person on foot shooting at the chopper with? The armor around the cockpit should be resistant to 23mm cannon rounds and the cockpit glass resistant to at least 12.7mm machine gun bullets. That is just me checking a few online sources though so don't hold me to it. -

Good to know there are still parents teaching their children to take responsibility for their actions and good going Faith on taking the initiative in doing so.

Fubar512, thanks for the info, I as remembering this post by Wrench. I think I might update the Torpedoes in the V/W pack. acesfakia, what ships are you working on? I might be able to help out with Data INI work and testing.

Yes, I know that AAA is "Anti Aircraft Artillery". Actually in looking up Italian Army equipment I found a listing of all of their present AA systems so I thought I would list off all of them for completeness sake.

Just to confirm, I copy all of these files? And paste them into these three locations. 1) C:\Users\User Name\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\Flight 2) C:\Users\User Name\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\Menu 3) C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2 If so then I am missing something because when I do that I get a CTD any time I try to run SF2. When I remove the SweetFX files from the "C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2" folder the game plays again. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
