Baltic Air Forces What-If Thread

Indeed, very nice work czarny900! -
I tried it and I think you're being too heavy-handed with the stick to be honest with you, When I turned in a simulated high-g turn with moderate stick input the chance of blacking out increases but was controllable. However, putting a lot of rudder and forcing the stick hard the chance for "departure" exists if you over-correct. So basically take it a bit easy on the rudder and you'll be fine, on Hard. On Normal to Easy departures are very hard to induce so I just think you're over correcting on your technique

Still a good read Do335 Not sure how you're doing it, but I took the Su-27 for a spin and the only way I departed was intentional, flew vertical, thrust to idle, and let gravity and inertia do the rest, and realized that counteracting with rudder helps in spin recovery. So after 3 out of 3 attempts I recovered fine, and the Flanker flies how it should, not sure how you're constantly departing, care to explain? And I think it still is the old SF1 FM... July 2012 patch with FM on Normal and Hard, but she flew pretty nice...

Well... if the 79's radar capabilities were known I'd probably do it, but since I don't know, I don't modify it accordingly.

Definitely a good link, not sure if I'm going to bother but... who knows...

SF2 can use radar to lock on multiple targets simultaneously?
Flanker562 replied to QQ123's topic in General Discussion
or update your drivers Saisran -
Me: F-14D (06) with 2 x AIM-9M, 2 x AIM-7M, tanks, gun) Opposition: MiG-19S with guns Takeaways: It's been so long and the mission was so one-sided that I didn't feel like going through the normal narrative. In essence once you get behind the MiG-19 or -17, stay on its tail and keep in his six. Jousting with one is a challenge, while two is well, interesting if you don't pay attention. But since it's been awhile and I think I have a stable file, I'll say that it can turn, it can burn, but if you're looking for a guns kill it'll be difficult but a missile kill is easy, with modern 'winders (see below) or a good steady shot.

No problem! Unfortunately I forgot to update the "NVG" effects on the latest cockpit build: LightRange=1.5 LightInnerConeAngle=360 LightOuterConeAngle=360 LightAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 DiffuseLightFactor=0.5 NightLightOn=0.25 NightLightColor=0.0,1.0,0.0,0.7 Just copy and paste it and it'll be back.

Here's the actual TW F-14A with the multi-targeting function used. The first half was just a previous recording I thought was cool to add but the second half has the right engagement. F-14 Multi-engagement.wmv -
SF2 can use radar to lock on multiple targets simultaneously?

Well unfortunately (I don't think anyway) nobody's launched a 'winder on a Bear to date, so it's only speculative on how really effective missiles are these days. Buuut no problem though on the vid. -
Nice work though maybe I should release my version as well, just hadn't seen much interest in it. Mandatory screenie.

No idea.

Managed to get the video to record properly... saisaran it's because the MF birds are modeled as they should be. One of the reasons I don't use it is because no real radar display. For strike missions it's pretty good but other than that I don't use it for anything else. And yes the "J" does in my nickname means "Johnson." And although it's on the Super Hornet it's done the same way. I just tend to acquire each target (which if I understand it how it works) and fire. I think its a misnomer about "simultaneous engagement" where you have to still acquire each target and then launch. Multiple Engagement.wmv -

BTW here's the results of shooting with the F14AAvionics.dll. I recorded a short video but somehow the video didn't work... but anyway: -
I agree on that wholeheartedly as I may have plans for one mod and well... sometimes it's a cool modification/enhancement, but in the long run it mucks with your whole Evil Plan. And I definitely support a checkbox for people when they upload mods. If they don't read it you can sock it too him/her when he/she messes with your stuff.

No unfortunately not, as far as the map "integration". That sure would be cool but you'd have to specifically map a terrain that included both (and some other) terrains. Unfortunately this isn't FSX...
