  2. Posting what we all wish for isn't going to magically bring back TK and his interest in this game. I mean other than a project I working with Soulfreak and Co, I have little interest in the game anymore, or at least selective interest anyway. I mean there's just no indication that TK is going to work on this and maybe an SF3, or improve SF2... So there you go Wrench, somebody did something about it.
  3. Well I thought I could stop working on the EricJ Helicopter Pack and was wrong. Anyway, I found through a user feedback on the UAVs (at least I understand the MQ-17s), that it "flew like a brick". Unfortunately I don't get much feedback and any feedback is much appreciated. It was an easy fix, and I think that the flight model now should be better to users of it. I fixed a minigun issue (was an easy fix, appaently didn't update a LOD and now should work fine. On the note I'm looking for somebody to UVMap and texture the Barrett M468 that has been collecting itself in the EricJ Weapons Pack for years. It's not configged (I can handle that), but it's not textured. I put a request on various Discords and so far no response. So if you're bored, need something to do I can send you the model and you help me out. It'll need some patterns for variety but overall not too complicated of a request. If I could do it I would, but I'm not that great with weapons unfortunately. If you are interested PM me either here or on Discord and we can get it rolling. Not much else planned but some fixes for the Helicopter Pack. For the Taliban Fighters there was a request for bearded units, and frankly I don't have any heads with believable beards to do this. Other than that not much else on that front either, mainly the helicopters.

EricJ Helicopter Pack RC127 - Slightly repositioned the refueling probe on the MH-92s - The outer pylons of the AH-96 pylons can mount the gun pods from Reaction Forces CDLC, as well as the outer pylons for the MH-92 DAP. Note if you do not have Reaction Forces you won't get any errors, and so on, so a dependency wasn't created. The pylons simply won't show the RF weapons if it's not purchased or enabled. - Added the other developed containers from the EricJ Cherokee Containers mod. That way people can access the containers if they don't have that mod. - Tweaked the MH-92 DAP (4-pylon) wings to differentiate it from the UH-60 version Google Drive link updated.
  5. Yeah I mean I'm not saying baking does a bad job, but I think baked shadows are just pointless in my opinion. I think the DCS L-39 pulled it off okay, and I merely changed the opacity to reduce the effect, and frankly worked well with my skins. But the FSX Super Hornet skins it was too pronounced, and people still liked what I did back then.

  7. I think sometimes that stuff like baked shadows on planes and the like really looks bad, as it makes no sense when you spend all that money on creating shadows to render anyway. I will say that it looks nice on this model though, and should look good in-game.
  8. That's been my opinion the whole time this discussion has been going on. I think the model is shit, and amariani is doing things right, just that the model is borked. SF2NA hasn't been total quality since it came out.

EricJ Helicopter Pack RC125 - Tweaked AIM-9X texture, removed the "AIM-9X" from the body of the missile - UH-92s can lift up to 6,000kg now, while the MH-92F (Insertion) can lift only 5,500kg - Added an AGM-145D Anti-Radiation missile. It has a range of 8km and can engage radars. Due to game engine issues the missile must be fired below the horizon as it has a LOAL trajectory. It is point and shoot at the direction of the radar, no further locking is necessary. It is currently usable on the AH-96
  13. EricJ Taliban Fighters RC30 - Special Activities Division units now have two first aid kits as standard - Added a Special Activities Division Fire Team. Given the flexible nature (they routinely have 2 to 10 operators) of the unit, I decided not to make a full squad. Mission makers can of course adjust this as necessary.
  14. Okay looks like things are kinda back into swing of things. I've found out that I can use some of the Expeditionary Forces stuff in mods without making you get the CDLC (and why you wouldn't want to get it...). As recently uploaded I got the NLOS system hopefully working for you, and I saw that the TF562 JTAC does designate for targets, but I was in a slick MH-92 (Insertion) so I couldn't have done anything about it as I was flying solo. Anyway I got an anti-radiation missile done, based on the AIM-9X missile in my EricJ Helicopter Pack. I don't know if the AH-1Z uses it, but I'm understanding it's usually an AAM and not an ARM to use, so I'll keep it off the AH-1Z. I know it's a 2035 thing, but gonna keep some reality in the mix for that helicopter. I have a wreck model for the Kiowa, it's nothing special for use and will be uploaded on Sunday, to give the Arma Discord a break from me "spamming" their channel. Anyway, that's pretty much what's going on. And I do appreciate those who give feedback and help me correct some issues that crop up, and in hindsight could have been avoided.

  18. I would go with grid for us military geeks. I mean map square or grid doesn't matter to me really, just as long as it's uniform across the map.
  19. EricJ Helicopter Pack RC124 - Tweaked 3D model of the MH-92 refueling probes. - Added an "Rattler-NLOS" taken from the Titan NLOS missile. The weapon has a red ring on it to denote it from the other Rattler missiles, and is selectable in the MH-92 DAP weapon field as "R-NLOS". You should be able to use this missile system without the Expeditionary Forces CDLC. To use you need a datalink equipped JTAC (Such as the TF562 JTAC or EF JTACs). You can also enable this feature in the Editor, with the Sensors portion enable the Reporting feature. The designated unit needs to have a laser designator equipped to enable this to work. Note that the R-NLOS can only fire at 10 kilometers away from the firing unit (MH-92 DAP (4-pylon)). This also works with the AH-96 as well
  20. ADuke Kiowa Warrior RC4 - A misaligned cursor for the MMS was possibly fixed. Views should be aligned and working now - After checking and being helped on the Arma Discord, model is now centered in the wireframe of the model when placed in-game on a map.

  22. That would be cool, but the fact is that it would mainly be infantry targets and maybe a convoy with miniguns, but the DAPs and the like would work for CAS and such.
  23. it's too bad that you can't do troops and a real helicopter FM. I haven't tried MSFS24 yet and seen some reviews of the flight model for it. A3 is better for helicopters as while it's not perfect, I like flying it a lot. I love SOAR stuff and wish we could do more. But nice work though, looks good.
