IL-2 1946 ,, The Enterprise Campaign,, with a few edits to fly the Avenger Torpedo Bomber.,, and the B-52 campaign I conjured up for WOV 1 -
it was built that way,,having 2 deck gun mounts,, I had a hell of a time ridding the 40mm off the front,, it didn't look right and made me sea sick watching the guy up front,, it is a easy fix if you end up playing it., I modded the files that are in the downloadable Pt-109 so you do have a dual 40mm mount in the rear which acts like deck gun and makes short work of destroyers,, I have threads in subsim.com how to get it to work in campaign and to fix weapon mounts except the butt ugly 20mm mounts. The boat has been around for years, built and not finished,, the guns worked ,, as AA and deck guns,, but no torps it took me months to get torps up and running I passed the information along in subsim ,, Bismarck got if up loaded into downloads in it's present state,, and I finally after years of tinkering got it to work in campaign..

At the 5 min mark you'll see the PT-109 that,, I helped to get the torps too work, in SH-4 ,http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=229564, the down load is in subsim down loads,, it will have a 40mm single on the bow and a twin 40mm on the rear ,,

you get that sorted out give me a ginggle to offset to the side to look down a gunsight would be awsome.

IL-2 COD problem
yubba replied to waterloo's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
I'll tell you alittle secret about the IL-2 gun sight it is bore sighted for 200 yards,,I have found that one click up of Head movement adds 200 yards to the sight,, so if you do one click up you are bore sighted for 400 yards ,and set covergance to 450 it seems to do the trick for the shots I remembered in other sims ,though I am dismayed about the realistic gunnery option. -

IL-2 COD problem
yubba replied to waterloo's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
It bites getting a new machine, and can't run the classics on it,,, will first eagles 2 run on your new machine ??? I've debated about getting a new machine and if it won't run IL-2 I'm not having any part of it,but the online community is shrinking and I've been looking at war thunder but it looks to arcadeish,, but ROF looks good , I got 4 or 5 older dell xp machines that didn't cost me more than the little bit of labor to get them to run again,, I would watch for county or state auctions you can get computers by the pallet full for pennies on the dollar,, Now I haven't done it but I heard that you might be able,,, to make a partition on your hard drive and put in another OS,, here's a link,, hopefully someone in here, with more knowledge can say whether this is a good idea,or not,, I'm just a front guy that comes up with these ideas. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-partition-a-hard-drive-2626081 -

Did the games work before ??? there might be one last ditch thing you can do,,,,I'd look and see if you got a restore point,, like I said it is a last ditch action to be taken,, I even got out from under an older ransom ware attack by useing it.. as always to do this at your own risk. -

Since I'm running vista and xp machines I'll have to hand this off to someone that is running a more current OS than me,, 32bit games don't fare well in 64bit machines from my understanding. -
