  1. Northrop Grumman was recently awarded with two contracts from USAF. The issue which is regulated by these contracts is a logistic support for A-10 Warthogs, and the sum of money allocated to the aforementioned agreement is $24 million. The contract is called the A-10 Thunderbolt Life Cycle Program Support (TLPS), and includes indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle. What is more, the contract includes ASIP (aircraft structural integrity program) Modernization V. Its assumption is to keep the A-10 flying through 2028 and beyond that date and it is possible that the aircraft will receive updated systems. In other words, this means that the A-10 will remain in the active service in large numbers even though after the sequester this was not so certain. The process will at least be prolonged in time – even if the number of Hogs is to be limited, it won’t until a large number of F-35s is introduced. Even if the A-10 is still considered the best CAS (Close Air Support) plane ever designed, its capabilities may be a bit limited is particular scenarios, as in the Pacific theatre. Furthermore, it is a purely single-purpose aircraft, as opposed to F-35. U.S. Air Force operates 346 A-10s, half of those used by Air National Guard. The Congress protested against getting rid of 5 squadrons of A-10s last year, and it has already said that the protest is to be continued in 2014. http://theaviationist.com/2013/11/27/a-10-retirement/
  2. SF2 is supposed to take advantage of multicore GPUs - but the actual difference can only be seen when testing it on a good Win install I suspect. A single jet causing fps - could be a higher poly model Loss of comms to 4th flight - not sure i've noticed it - if you tell them to RTB they should cut you off - but other wise probably a bug
  3. So you cant see the A-6s in the selection fields at all in the game? Have you defo put the files in the right place? - in SF2 they must go in the mod folders - not where the main game files are installed.
  4. Test pilot Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier John Selak, announced on his Facebook page first photographs Croatian MiG-21 in Ukraine with which these days are doing test flights before final acceptance. According to unofficial information, the maintenance and modernization of all three aircraft will be in Croatia during the celebrations of the Day of the Air Force and Air Defence in December.

  7. Doubt people in the UK would get the majority of the Eastern old Soviet, and Warsaw pact states now You could cover most when I was at school with: Soviet Union Warsaw Pact Yugoslavia But hey there is always Google - surely the kids should be just tested on whether they can search using a browser!
  8. Looks painful - so the snake has to sit there a few years now blocking that doorway!
  9. Looking at the options for the AW 14 are you supposed to have the GT750M or the GTX765M - because neither are picked up above Go start -> type System information into search - go to Components -> display Is either the GT750M or the GTX765M listed in there or does it just list the intel HD 4600?
  10. Should be picking it up - you on the latest SF2? best do a start -> type dxdiag.exe and post the results after saving it to a text file
  11. What this? http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/ Documentation : http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/documentation.php Not something I've used - but it does have a default Falcon 4.0 profile that works with AF Says its for XP so the above might be different if you have a newer OS
  12. Can you choose Radar missiles (AIM-7 Sparrow) with any other jets?
  13. The US has flown two B-52 bombers over disputed islands in the East China Sea in defiance of new Chinese air defence rules, officials say. China set up its "air defence identification zone" on Saturday insisting that aircraft obey its rules or face "emergency defensive measures". A Pentagon spokesman said the planes had followed "normal procedures". The islands, known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China, are a source of rising tension between the two nations. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-25110011

  16. no comment Three female RAF recruits are to be paid compensation for injuries reportedly suffered while marching alongside male colleagues. They claimed parading alongside taller male recruits caused them to over-stride and develop spinal and pelvic injuries, the Mail on Sunday reported. It is understood they will receive £100,000 from the MoD. The MoD said the RAF had now reviewed its recruit training practices to mitigate against the risk..................... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25078544
  17. Is it bouncing as soon as you enter the cockpit? If so - when the games starts quickly move the throttle then put the throttle to zero and take off the wheelbrakes to let the jet roll. (it may be controller related if the gear shock values are ok)
  18. That's hilarious - can probably see why it was cut though
  19. You can make the flak pretty lethal - the SF2 eburger packs improve it a lot.
