  1. Not to sure what a .str file is - possibly some kind of database file - but ive never had to alter one before - or whether its even possible to do so. If no one knows you could ask TK directly at www.thirdwire.com
  2. Too right - some great pics of the Bucc and Lightning there Buff - good to know that some have been preserved in that state!
  3. Happy Birthday to Isreal - its been a rough ride so far - can only hope you will be celebrating a more stable peace in the future.
  4. You changed the AIM-7M in weapondata.ini? - to make any changes to weapons themselves you need to open the weapondata.ini with the Weapons editor and then save it - this creates the required weapondata.dat file. you dont need to reboot for any changes. I wouldnt recommend that though - if your sparrow stations are all set to attachment USN, USAF then there could be a weight or dimensions issue. What year does the AIM-7M go to out of interest - also will assume the nation of the F-4S set to USN?
  5. The patch on LPs site is 1.0.12 to 1.0.13 - if you see above you may need to get the 1.0.11 to 1.0.12 from D2D first. also see the post from Kirbykern above re the old file issue if the patches dont work.
  6. Think I would given the chance
  7. The only known fix is to download and install the version on here: https://store.thirdwire.com/store.htm The amazing thing is how they managed to create an unusable image! <retards> :punish2:
  8. Merci Gunrunner - I must say that your English is a bit too good - would never have guessed it was a second language! Basher - nothing wrong with being enthusiastic - its good to see really besides everyone has to start somewhere. You will find that a lot can be changed in this series of games, but there are still limits enforced by the games overall design and scope. If you can find a way around these limitations as others have done in the past then good for you - that is part of the fun of modding after all.
  9. Could be a file association problem - so you will need to browse the web try this at your own risk http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/105/...dows-Vista.html
  10. Talk about confusing - Seems the TU-22M Backfire is derived from the TU-22 Blinder - how? more like they threw the TU-22 drawing in the bin (but kept the Red stars) and just built an entirely new jet from scratch!
  11. No2 from a flight not engaging is consistent with my WOE/WOV installs (BVR and WVR) and is something ive put down to the coding and ignored it. Have you asked TK at the TW forums about this? Will add that this happens on occasions only - not all the time - and have noticed that the no 2 of flight2 ect will follow me round regardless of what I press sometimes.
  12. nice one Crusader
  13. Hmm - Can either ask TK to get better templates or I guess some poor suckers gotta make some better ones.

  16. Yeah lots of people Only viable in a pit where most of the dials work etc - and on a big v high res monitor - otherwise seeing things close in is an eye straining nightmare.
  17. Well I dont speak German - but this is the Falcon 4.0 AF forum. The Knowledgebase has instructions for running WOE on Vista - if someone can translate
  18. Well I never http://www.defencetalk.com/news/publish/ai...er100015681.php
  19. How embarassing - its got a nice flat belly to land on at least! Think that pilot will be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dog**** out of Hong Kong! - to quote from something
  20. Amazing thanks - that info is gold - am saving it as we speak! Will be practising this tactic a lot more now - using the auto/boresight mode and zooming in so I can get a tally on the blighter!
  21. Well there are quite a few from the 50s and 60s also (F-105, F-100, Mig-17, Mig-21, F-4, SU-7, Hawker Hunter) The AIM-54A Phoenix was in service from about 1975 I believe - although its in the weps pack
  22. Sure - make sure you have it patched up though http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=2673
  23. Yes you should be able to use the LAU-5003A - makes sure the master arm is on - hit the button and all 19 should fire out. I havnt used them myself in years - they bring you too close to the small arms ground fire and MANPADs - so not recommended unless you like taking low level risks.
  24. Thanks Wags - I thought this may have been cheating the ROE a bit - since I would be dragging the Mig away from the flight and then firing a shot at something that couldnt be Identified too well from maybe 5 miles or so (or the minimum enagement range for the Sparrow). Was the real radar any use at identifying a smaller target or was it a case of using binoculars?
  25. 1. Some of the bridges have different sections - you have to destroy the correct section sometimes to complete the mission. 2. Just accept it as good luck - maybe the Navy and AF didnt talk to each other and decided to bomb the same target etc
