Dunno what the Fuss is tbh - TKs sims are fun in many different ways and can appeal to both game players playing for fun, sim players, and modders alike. He has released a steady stream of these SFP1, SFG, WOV, WOE, First Eagles and WOI over 6 years with more on the horizon - what more could you want. For the Hard Core bunch well there is Falcon and its variants, LOMAC - and in the future there should be a new version of Falcon from Lead Pursuit - and Fighter Ops possibly. Considering how long these take to learn - a new one every 10 years aint a bad idea IMO :D The arcade players have a console anyway and there is plenty of jet fighter arcade games to keep them happy too Theres a ton of choice out there so im not really sure there is much of a downfall going on. If you take into consideration the time it takes to fly a mission in WOV, start modding it etc with all the thousands of mods out there - I cant believe there is anybody out there with enough time on there hands to even worry about it - even less if they have the entire TW series!

I havnt got Tears for Fears greatest yet - was meaning to get it. There was a film (think it was Donno Darko) I saw a few years back that played one of their tracks (head over heels possibly) and I thought that it still sounded pretty good!
-
Yeah thats why I only bother with the greatest hits and compilations like "Now 1985" for most of them - Too young to care about the album stuff to a degree.

Well thanks for not making me feel so old anyway

Wendy James - I sure remember that babe :)

I remember thinking at the end of 1985 (was about 9 at the time) that there was no way that they could follow that year with any better music - but then again that was based on the pop charts - what did I know then! I do have loads of 80s greatest hits and love loads of music from it - some of it legend - some it just makes me embarresed to put it on here! The Jam, Police, Bon Jovi, Madness, Duran Duran, Level 42, UB40, Guns n Roses, Madonna, Queen, U2, Hewy Lewis, The Smiths, Style Council, Stone Roses, Pet Shop Boys (LOL), Beautiful South, Kylie Minogue :) At the time the 80s was amazing - a real get away from the embarassing lame fashion of the 70s where everything seemed to be brown - had loads of film blockbusters with great sound tracks including Back to the future/Ghostbusters/ Indiana Jones/ Star Wars (5/6) / TG - and of course Liverpool dominated the footy! Think it was a great decade for pop culture anyway!

Scenery Skin for the SU-32 Export Fullback (Platypus) (Falcon 4: Allied Force) Falcon 4 Allied Force has planes that are unskinned - and until you play the campaigns you don’t realise what a killer this is seeing a bright white jet! Anyway it’s annoyed me enough to do these skins. The SU-32 model in this sim is hopeless and I can’t find where some of the texture mapping comes from – so its limited effort at best on this one! The following instructions are for installing the skins using LOD Editor: (trust me it ain't rocket science! But you need to be careful) Will see about doing one for the skin pack installer if there is any need. -
"Anything big (Korea and Desert Storm) will have to be broken up into several pieces - for Korea, we might do three parts, USAF, USN, and UN forces, for example. For DS, we probably need to break it down further depending on level of avionics we want, each one might end up having single airplane type only. Or, we can try to buildup some more planes up in other theaters and reuse them, so if we do, say Suez now, and Korea next, then we can have bigger initial Korea game, or if we do F-14A sim now and do DS next, etc etc. Either way, we're looking at 2009/2010 for our next new title. We're working on couple of smaller things for this year (still experimenting on how the online sales go for different types of titles), and later this year/earlier next year, we'll have Vista version of current titles (which also gives us opportunity to go back and update some of the really old contents thats showing their age), and then the new game next TK"

Wish I could meet women that wild!

You need to get a program like FRAPs or Gamecam that can record as you play.

Scenery Skin for the F/A-18F Super Hornet and E/A-18G Growler (Falcon 4: Allied Force) 1024x1024 Falcon 4 Allied Force has planes that are unskinned - and until you play the campaigns you don’t realise what a killer this is seeing a bright white jet! Anyway it’s annoyed me enough to do these skins. The following instructions are for installing the skins using LOD Editor: (trust me it ain't rocket science! But you need to be careful) NOTE: The same model and skin is used for the F/A-18F and E/A-18G so we are only installing this once. This skin can only be installed fully using LODEditor I’m afraid due to a fault with the 3D model. Any version that uses the skin pack installer will not have skinned wheels, engine nozzles, pilots and the campaign will still use the unskinned Set 2. -
Do you have a single or multi core processor?
MigBuster replied to samtheeagle's topic in General Discussion
Dual cores were out of my price range in the dark ages (2005 ) - next system will be multi core though -
A YF-22 and an XB-70 in 1 picture - nice one! That Valkyrie is massive!

Could this be our next COIN fighter?

There are many unskinned jets in Allied Force - and I haven’t got enough years left to make skins for all of them - so if you are that bothered about unskinned jets this is a brief how to on how to convert files for use with Falcon 4:Allied Force. I could just post the skins Ive converted over but they are not my skins – so you will need to do a bit of DIY. The process is very time consuming but not difficult although probably not for the faint hearted Guide is in Word 2002 and html formats. -
And never ever ever dive into 400 Mig-21s - particularly if you are listening to barbers Adagio for Strings on your winamp thing :no2:

1. See the knowledgebase : http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=8452 there may be some other old threads on this also 2. not sure really - think SF Gold could play online with Strike fighters - but as for the other versions there may be too many differences. Usually both players have to have the same installs with the same jets etc.

Very rarely play music while flying personally - although when I have ive just ran Media Player in the background. I realise a lower spec PC may not be able to handle this but its worth a try.

Scenary skin for the F/A-18E (Falcon 4: Allied Force ) 1024x1024 This is a slight rework of my E/A-18G skin - Falcon 4: Allied Force has various planes that are unskinned - and until you play the campaigns you dont realise what a killer this is seeing a bright white jet while browsing through the freindlies! Anyway its annoyed me enough to do these skins. The included instructions are for installing the skins using LOD Editor - though trust me it ain't rocket science - just time consuming. Once I have time I may get it to work with the skinpack installer from gamers tools if any demand. -
Would be a challenge flying a bird dog low and slow against the lethal AAA in this sim and the Migs - I believe YAP2 will feature player flyable FAC missions so expect small arms fire too. In Falcon 4 you lock up ground targets and then assign flights checked in with you to attack it - not always an easy job though. To do that in this series I guess the flights assigned must be part of your squadron.

SHould have said really Convert the pic to a JPEG/ JPG - you can do that by using the Save As in your photo editor (ie gimp, photoshop, Windows picture manager etc) You shouldnt lose much quality (if you do just install gimp) - and basically you end up with a much smaller file. PhotoBucket is good in that after you have uploaded your jpg - it has some boxes below it with the links you can copy. You can then just copy the URL of the image and come back here - click the insert image button then paste the url youve just copied from photobucket into the box

http://photobucket.com/ Basically: create an account there upload your pic put a link to the pic on that site

Some nice shots there thanks Found this vid also taken from inside the Lancaster as its flying over the dams - think the windloop file needs to be changed :)
