  1. 'Constructicons' unite!
  2. Nice one thanks - missed it when it was TV :(
  3. Big part of my childhood - Have got the 1987 TF Movie on VHS still - great film that was - the new one looks great and seems to be aimed at an adult audience so probably wont miss it. I even remember when Starscream was just a humble F-15!
  4. Well it doesn't help that by default the AI hates going under 1000ft and prefers flying in a perfectly straight line when a SAM is launched - only thing you can do there is break so they follow you. I think they actually use ECM now anyway. If anyone knows the frequency of pilot replacement then let us know please. havn't seen any building at 500ft yet - dont even get that in Falcon these days !
  5. Ive never seen any replacement pilots - not to say you dont get them - try baby sitting your wingies better (ie only let them attack AAA with bombs for example) the planes do get replaced i think as per these lines in the campaign dataini: Supply=100 NormalSupplyRate=50 OffensiveSupplyRate=-5 DefensiveSupplyRate=-5 SupplyForOffensive=0 AircraftReplacementTime=30 AircraftReplacement=60 GroundUnitReplacementTime=60 GroundUnitReplacement=100 RandomTransportType=ANY WeaponResupplyTime=15 StartAirDefenseLevel=0
  6. Not sure - you could raise it at Thirdwires forum - but it may be there to keep the forward view steady. Hadn't really noticed it that much till i started playing more F4
  7. The manual install of the files is a bit tedious - but its really easy tbh - best to install 1 pack at a time to keep it simple. though its not just the new objects its the real life missions that make it great - and ive flown so many different types of missions - things you will never do in the standard WOV. The product is well supported and each new set brings in new things - this is from the latest set:
  8. Not sure on the 3DMAX question. You can download the titles from http://www.thirdwire.com/index.htm Otherwise try the China branch of Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/ - scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the "China" hyperlink
  9. Actually could this be a que for everyone out there to see how close they can get to a Mig inverted - talk about material for a competition!
  10. "Mig 19's!! no ones been this close before!
  11. Be impressed if you can get the AI to stop attacking bombers by flying slowly up behind them
  12. Actually that fix seems to have taken care of the blip near BIN THUY airfield (South Cambodia / Thailand i think) so good work there The only other thing is the two large airbases (Tan Son Nhut / Bien Hoa (south south Vietnam)) which apart from having trees coming from the runway - had a problem where the runway disappears when you land on it - almost like another tile was overlapping it. (is ok from up high though) - will get a pic well if were going to be picky
  13. Wow thats support - I know there are a few other out of place - will need to get some pics
  14. what this one? http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=915 Would be caused by one of the files you dragged in with the Mod. Also Im not sure if those figures above are specified in feet?
  15. Am aware of KAB type bombs: http://www.global-defence.com/1997/Precision.html http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/su24/ http://edefense.blogspot.com/2005/11/what-...uided-bomb.html If they have been used then maybe in Afghanistan and chechnya possibly??
  16. Theres a bit about the SA-16 Igla 1 here and service ceiling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9K38_Igla cheers
  17. Yes thats no problem - nice one!
  18. In Captain Dale Storrs Account (Warthog, William L Smallwood) he was passing through 10,000ft when his A-10 was hit by an IR SAM - guessed to be SA-16 (this was in the 1991 Gulf war btw) - never saw it coming!
  19. A big issue is shoulder launched MANPADs - they can only be detected by eyesight but as pilot accounts from the 1991 gulf conflict show that the first they knew a missile was coming was when it hit them. A good reason to have one against short range AAM's is that future counter measures could be deployed automatically where the pilot may not have time to respond himself. Its essential that a good IRWR is in service soon.
  20. Sorry no idea - You could ask TK at ThirdWire(Maybe?) - think they developed them. It normally only takes a few secs to merge inis together and create the dat files manually so I would b surprised if anyone has looked into this.
  21. Yes the Eurofighter has a DASS MAWs system that can detect infrared missile launches (developed by BAE Systems) - Not sure if it works though.
  22. Thanks Prowler - glad to see you are aware of the issue.
  23. Not that im uptight or anything but could you change the Razbam site so that either you dont have to make an account to buy something - or make sure SSL is used on the create account page that people are forced to put their personal info and password into. thankyou
